January News & Previews #4
This week we've pushed the first quarterly patch for the games, which is a little bit different from how we used to do things before, so let us explain what that means.
Based on community feedback, it has become clear that generally players would like longer periods of stability between balance patches, so starting this year, we're going to change how the quarterly patches work. Instead of having a balance patch every 3 months between editions, which might require players to re-adjust their armies, we're only going to have 1 balance patch every year, giving players a full 6 months before they might need to re-adjust their armies.
Between each new edition and balance patch, we're going to have a hotfix, which is used to patch up any game-breaking issues we find, as well as provide small quality-of-life updates wherever possible.
Alien Hives Unveiled will be launching next month on MyMiniFactory's Frontiers! Not only will you get the brand new Alien Hives Faction Book, but you can also expect to get four new Narrative Heroes for the faction. On our website we've be taking a look at two of them: Trosies and Nisuv. Even better, their stats are live now on Army Forge if you want to check them out, today!

Good luck to all the participants, and may the best ones win.
The Alien Hives and the Saurian Starhost have found themselves on a lush jungle planet, it's prime real-estate for both of them, which means neither side is backing down without a fight. Who will be the ones to stake the claim and set up home among the plants and ruins?
At the top of post, you'll see some early previews of the what we are working on for February!
The War Daemons Soul Spawns might be a baby version of the Soul Daemons, but that's an exercise in relatives as they're huge and bulky compared to most everything else on the battlefield. They have Scout and Strider for good movement, bursting through rubble and terrain. Break and Warbound making sure any of your 6's hurt more and any of their 1's also hurt more, which means they can tear through more than just rubble.
Please remember that these are early WIP shots of the models and not the final versions of the models.
That's it for now, happy wargaming!

Thank you all for your replies! I'm still a 0.2mm short, but I'm gonna give Resin2FDM a go, just to try it out on a 0.4mm :) I have a P1S, so it's not optimal (Still missing a _really_ good mini setting for it), but it's worth a shot anyway :)
I have printed full units of saurians and human empire so far. Had one failure with the Tyrannosaur with one hand not printing. I use the Resin2FDM addon for Blender from Painted4Combat. Just the lite version which is free. Quality is more than good enough. I have the .2mm nozzle but prefer speed over the minimal quality difference.
Any chance of us getting FDM friendly units for the different games? Or have anyone had luck with printing any units on a 0.4mm nozzle? :)
We aren't ready to officially support FDM printing, but some users are having success printing the models in FDM. I'd join our discord and chat with them there to see how they're managing it.
