MiniWargaming are playing Age of Fantasy. In this battle it's Ratmen verses a newly painted Wood Elves army. The Ratmen have captured a tower with a very important wood elf librarian inside, now it's up to the Wood Elves to rescue the target while the Ratmen stave off the elves until their reinforcements arrive.
At the top of post, you'll see some early previews of the what we are working on for September!
The Dwarves Hammer Elites don't have much in the way of special rules, Slow as all Dwarves are, and Steady which currently gives them a +1 to Defense when shot from far or charged. But as their name might suggest, their Hammers are the star of the unit, two attacks with AP 2 are going to get through a lot of tough units, and with a good Quality not many of them will be wasted.
Please remember that these are early WIP shots of the models and not the final versions of the models.

thank you for giving us square hammers! honestly im really hit or miss, mostly miss, on the round hammers, they just dont feel dwarven!
I think the Helmets would look more Badase if they are Fullhelmets. At the Moment they look partial silly, especially the Female Dwarfs, but some of the "not so harry dudes".
I like these guys, but got to agree on the helmets, they're not doing it for me. Would be sweet if you also include models with normal faces instead of the lanterns. Also, it'd be great if we can get some more different belt equipments. The oil lamp in particular I must've painted 20 times by now :)

Loving the lantern masks. Reminds me of big Daddies from Bioshock :)
I was a winner in the previous painting competition, but have yet to receive any updates on prizes. Does it usually take this long? 🤔😅
Did you message them directly? You need to send them a message with your postage details (if placed 1-3). For mine they advised will take 6-8 weeks to arrive
For Dwarven elites with 4+ Defense and Steady, they don't look very well armoured. I'm also not a huge fan of the lantern type masks, though they might grow on me.
I have to agree about the armor. The sleeveless look is kinda cool, but the tunic thing is similar to what the Coal Miners have and looks way too flimsy. Maybe if it's meant to be metal instead of leather, I could see it looking amazing.
Yeah, the lantern masks are not doing it for me. That said, can't wait for the lore for these guys

I'm usually a huge fan of most things you make but the lanterns and extremely static poses are a big miss IMO
The hammer dwarfs are a utility unit. The utility being “I need something hit with a hammer”
Lanterns are weird.
Not a fan of those lanterns infront of thier faces.
