EA UPDATE BUG~

Very important for everyone who is panicking right now because of the new The Sims 4 update:

It looks worse than it actually is.

What is happening right now:
A lot of mods, CC, poses, and animations seem to be “gone” or no longer working. But this is very likely NOT because your content is broken.

The real issue is:
The game is currently not loading many .package files correctly.

That means:
– Your animations are still intact
– Your poses are still intact
– Your CC is not destroyed

They are simply not being recognized or loaded properly by the game right now.

That’s why it looks like “everything is broken,” even though it’s more likely a technical issue with the loading system (most likely caused by the new Marketplace).

Important:
EA has already confirmed that this is an unintended issue and a fix is coming.

What you should do now:
– If possible: DO NOT update
– If you already did: stay calm
– Do not panic and start deleting or remaking things

Especially for creators:
You most likely do NOT need to recreate all your content or fix everything from scratch.

Conclusion:
Yes, it’s chaos right now.
But your work is not lost.

The game is the problem right now, not your content. stay turnd 🩷

Best update I've seen from a creator! You out of many are calm and not saying mods are broken :) thanks

That’s just not solution-oriented. Jumping straight to saying everything is broken is always the easiest reaction. My approach is to first find a solution or at least an idea of what could be causing the issue. I waited a day, gathered information, and now I understand what’s going on. I don’t know exactly when it will be fixed, but this is not an “everything is lost” situation. 🙂

Yeah, we’ll have to wait a bit, but EA has already confirmed that they’re releasing a fix soon, so I don’t think it will take long. 😊
