Anxiety Trait with bonus Anxiety Mod
Guys I finally revamped my Anxiety Trait!!!!! I told you I would. Damn this took FOREVER. I made this into a new whole mod too! This was made with patch 1.90 and High School Years. Should be Base Game compatible but does incorporate some features from other EPs and SPs. Hint: They hate doctors. ;)
This trait includes OCD (with multiple obsessions), Social Anxiety, General Anxiety Disorder, and may even result in panic attacks if they get stressed out enough!
So the new stuff: You can now take Xanax to treat your Anxiety! Taking Xanax will remove certain anxiety buffs (see under cut for examples) and essentially treat your sim’s anxiety problems. Note: It only lasts for so long before they will need more! You can buy Xanax bottles from the Purchase Medicine picker from the computer. I assume that came with Get to Work so this mod needs that if you decide to use the Xanax features. If you do not want to use Xanax, remove the files labeled Xanax! But it needs the Anxiety Trait to function right!
Unzip the file and place all four parts of the mod (which are labeled easily) into your mods folder!

Updated 10/06/2025: Removed Script file as it was causing issues, which means the XML Injector is now needed. Find it here.

I made this for myself and thought I would share if others were interested in it. I will also be updating my depression and ADHD traits/mods (also based off of my own symptoms) later on!

Hey. Was just wondering if this would get an update anytime? Dont want to bother. Also as someone with anxiety and OCD its nice to see a trait made with such. Keep up the great work with mods!
Hi so the program I use for this is broken, so I was waiting for an update, but I might try to just redo the whole thing myself. That will take a while though.
Hello, just to inform you that with the latest patch this mod seems to be broken. I can't go into live mode when this mod is in my game, it takes me back to world selection. I removed it for now but would be happy if you ever update it :)
Playing with Wicked Whims as I do, I like to have certain sims take on a dominating role (I'm a dominating straight male myself BTW :) ) & I think this Mod will add more realism to the fear I want certain other sims to have pf the sims who dominate them :)
I'm happy there are mental health mods out there but I'm kind of confused about this mod. My Sim keeps having only positive moodlets about obsessing over music or exercise because of OCD. As someone with OCD, I find it very unrealistic that the mod gives positive moodlets. Obsessing over exercise or music can be a thing, sure, but obsessions caused by OCD are NOT pleasant or inspiring.
I based the mod off of my own experiences with OCD. Not everyone has OCD the same way.
