πŸ’œ Welcome to Hell Is Entering a New Phase

Hello, everyone! πŸ’œ

The interface you saw in last week's video already looked lovely, but I wanted to take it further. After listening to your feedback and our testing group's observations, I have been refining the menus, galleries, affinities screen and animations.

More of the girls now appear in the backgrounds, and the updated screens share cyan frames, red highlights and a more consistent atmosphere. There is a full illustrated devlog waiting for paid supporters, with screenshots taken directly from the game.

Want to see the new screens? Join my Patreon from $2 to unlock the GUI screenshots and full devlog.

I am aiming to finish the GUI work this week. Next comes the original soundtrack: Chapters 1 and 2 currently use 66 tracks, and I plan to begin work on original replacements made for Welcome to Hell on Tuesday or Wednesday.

A GUI test build is also planned for Wednesday or Thursday for supporters above $10 β€” the $15 tier and higher. It will include the updated interface, new opening and animation improvements, but not Chapter 3. The download link will be shared when the build is ready.

Become a paid supporter here to see the gallery and affinity updates in the full post. Reading the illustrated devlog starts at $2; the test build has the separate tier requirement above.

I develop Welcome to Hell on my own, and my current computer is struggling with the growing rendering and animation workload. Building a new development computer is an important goal, and your support helps me keep improving the quality of the game.

Thank you for following this journey. Some doors in Hell are getting closer to opening… πŸ’œ

With love,

Amanda Games
Lead Developer & Sole Creator of Welcome to Hell

I am just a little concerned as you keep asking for more while disappearing for rather large gaps of time but lately you haven't actually given anything progressive for well over 6 plus months aside just videos of things that in all honesty arent even an importances to the actual Story itself as its really just for "Glam" appearances if we are being real now. The story has not progressed in well years and now its everything and anything else but actually moving forward meanwhile many times you claim to be doing this or this or this to then finally come out later and say ur not even doing what you said. Overall though promised chapter 8, then backtracked to say Remake, then remade parts no one actually wanted remade, released remake chap 1-3, now the New GUi visuals so in turn another remake was basically done and pumped out. we are disappointed. Also back in 2022-23 I seem to remember you said you improved the workstation you had.

Hello, I hope you're doing well. First of all, I'm sorry to hear about **your disappointment** with the game's progress. I understand that waiting for new chapters can be frustrating, especially for those who have been following the story for a long time. However, I'd like to clarify a few things. To begin with, I would appreciate it if you spoke for yourself rather than on behalf of the entire community. You have every right to express your dissatisfaction, and I respect that, but your opinion doesn't necessarily reflect how everyone else feels. Yes, *Welcome to Hell* went through a long hiatus. I've never denied that. However, if you were supporting me on Patreon during that period, you're probably familiar with the circumstances that led to that break. If you weren't, then you may not have the full picture of what was happening behind the scenes. Development has resumed, and the game is actively being worked on again. I completely understand that players are eager to see the story continue. But there's something important to understand: **for a developer, creating a game is about much more than simply releasing the next chapter.** Every visual improvement, every redesigned environment, every enhanced render, and every interface update is part of the project's evolution. You may see these changes as nothing more than cosmetic improvements, but to me, they represent quality, dedication, and my commitment to making the game better. I understand that some players are only interested in seeing what happens next in the story. However, that doesn't make the work happening behind the scenes unnecessary. There's a significant difference between playing a game and being the person responsible for creating and improving every aspect of it. Regarding my workstation, yes, I've upgraded my computer several times over the years. In 2022, I was working with an RTX 2060, 16 GB of RAM, and a Ryzen 5 processor. In 2023, I upgraded to an RTX 3060 and a Ryzen 7. Now, in 2026, I'm using an RTX 5060 and have made additional improvements, including upgrades to my RAM. However, anyone familiar with 3D rendering knows how much powerful hardware matters. An RTX 5090, for example, would make a significant difference, but a graphics card of that caliber can cost approximately $5,000 in my country. Unfortunately, that's not an investment I can afford on my own. And that brings me to another important point: **I cannot dedicate 100% of my time to developing Welcome to Hell.** As much as I love this project, it doesn't currently generate enough income for me to support myself. I have responsibilities, bills to pay, and other work that I need to do to make a living while continuing to invest in the game. That's exactly why I ask for support on Patreon. Nobody is obligated to contribute. That support helps keep development going and, whenever possible, allows me to improve the conditions under which I work. As for the remake, yes, I'm continuing with it because I genuinely believe these improvements are necessary. **Chapter 3 of the remake is coming soon**, and I'm working hard to deliver an experience I can truly be proud of. I don't expect everyone to agree with my decisions, but I do expect a certain level of respect for the work, effort, and time that go into this project. Thank you for sharing your thoughts, and once again, I'm sorry about **your disappointment**. Constructive criticism is always welcome, but it's important to understand that not everything involved in game development is visible to those waiting for the next release. **Welcome to Hell is still alive, still evolving, and I will continue developing it in the way I believe is best for the project.** Thank you for your understanding.
