Ash IQ too low for this one lol
i hated this movie. 2/10
The way Hannah loves this so much makes Me just so dang happy lol 💝‼️
You guys really did not get this movie, and I understand why, you kept talking over the explainy-bits. I recommend watching this again, without having to perform for an audience. I've seen it 6 times now since it came out. Amazing movie.
I probably understood the movie better than you because I spent three days editing it 😂 the movie is just not that good and way way overhyped, you just gotta take it that some people don’t like this movie
Trying to make a sense out of everything is what limits people from opening their minds to go way beyond what they're used to, seeing every detail of a story and enjoying it.
I see where Ash is coming from, but I do agree that if you cut out a lot of the wackiness it would have been a pretty generic movie (although with some great acting none the less). I think they could have had less focus on those two specific weird universes and added maybe a couple more, or as you said shorten it a bit, but they where part of what set the movie apart from other movies.
Agreed that it could have been 20 mins shorter. But super fun and different, it's difficult to stand out in todays world and this film did it with aplomb
Fave movie ever
bro they are never gonna believe over on youtube when I comment Ash tea bagged Hannah XD
Favorite movie of 2022!! I like everything about this movie.
If nothing else, i think you guys have achieved the most use of the word wackiness in a single video anywhere on the internet
the point of the movie is its supposed to be ridiculous and complex and then you get towards the last 30 mins of the movie and realise its all actually very simple. I like your thoughts in most reactions but i think this movie went over your head a bit because you spent too much energy and time trying to figure everything out and the message of the movie in the first hour. Its good to see a reactor say they didnt enjoy a movie though rather than just lie to make viewers happy though
This movie always really bothered me. I understand things being over the top to be entertaining but still. This girl is pissed off her sexuality isn't being accepted, so she goes and fucks everything up. To the point of trying to take over the universe? Maybe I'm getting it wrong though. That's just how I view what was going on in the movie. Overall, it's a pretty fun time. I enjoyed the silly action stuff.
At no point did Joy express anger towards peoples views on her sexuality. She even laughed and said "you're still hung up on the fact i like girls" the lack of acceptance for her sexuality is just 1 small part of many issues that led her to feel like life is just a meaningless waste of time. She also wasnt trying to take over the universe. She was just trying to find a version of Evelyn that would understand her and join her in ending her life via the bagel. She just killed people along the way because she thought everything was meaningless and didnt care. She wasnt evil - she was a nihilist
I agree with both of y'all on this one. It's a good film overall and deserves praise for its unique storytelling ideas and excellent acting for what is essentially a very simple plot/message, but parts of the script are terribly written. The whole raccoon chef bit and like half of Jamie Lee Curtis' 'romance' scenes weren't really needed and could have trimmed some fat off the film. Like Hannah alluded to, I think the dialogue was too on the nose in some scenes and took me out of the movie at times.
They're not in the thumbnail but im hoping for some tears in the 3rd act
