If it's with your mom, I second Good Will Hunting.
Lake Placid (1999)!
OMG Yes ASH you must watch this movie, It even has Betty White in it!!
I’m not sure if your mom is a Hitchcock fan. If she is a thriller fan then she might like Rope. Honestly, I think it is one of his best roles
Top Secret (1984) - From the team that bought us Airplane. You will laugh your ass off, guaranteed.
That's a good suggestion! I can add "Hot Shots!" as well.
Inglorious bastards, get out, the hateful eight
The Crow , Fargo , The Usual Suspects , Face Off , 12 Angry Men
Transformers 2007 Gladiator ghost The Bodyguard (Whitney Houston)
You and three ladies (including your mom)? Spy (2015). Ez pz. edit: If any of you have seen that already then Fright Night (2011). Still ez pz.
Count of Monte Cristo or The Time Machine. Both great movies.
Ooooooo, I also vote for Count of Monte Cristo. Ash will love the story.
Ok man you did not specify genre you only said keep it short so here are some of my all time favorites under 2.5 hours (gonna try and stick to one’s I can see ALL of you enjoying) 1. Pitch Black (Know you’d like this one and it does have GOOD sequels but also works as a stand alone) 2. Matilda 3. The Fifth Element 4. Romeo + Juliet 1996 (yeah I know everyone KNOWS the story dude just TRUST ME, I wouldn’t recommend it if this particular retelling wasn’t entertaining, stunning, and an experience unto itself) 5. Blindspotting 6. The Lost Boys 7. Jurassic Park (if you or them haven’t seen it, SEE IT, life as you know it will never be the same in a GOOD way, also the longest of the list so far as it’s 7 minutes over two hours but every second is gold I promise) 8. Alien 9. Stand By Me 10. Fright Night (2011) 11. Treasure Planet 12. Atlantis 13. Gladiator (longest on the list 2.5 hours but also potentially one of the best on this list of greatest hits) 14. The Last of The Mohicans 15. Blade 16. Good Will Hunting 17. The Breakfast Club 18. Memoirs of a Geisha 19. Spirited Away (you can NEVER go wrong with studio Ghibli) 20. The Man from U.N.C.L.E. 21. Dead Poets Society 22. Pacific Rim 23. Parasite 24. Split 25. Pan’s Labyrinth You legitimately cannot fail choosing anything from this list, I promise you every single film on it is good but they are all DIFFERENT so I hope if you don’t recognize something you’ll take the time to look up a synopsis for it. Have fun Ash and if you don’t pick a single thing from this I hope maybe you’ll watch them on a later date for patreon or even just for yourself. Cheers mate!
Some recent ones, 1917 or Parasite, if you haven’t seen them. Knives Out is also hilarious.
Big Trouble in Little China
Oh lord, Ash, please put on the wig and wear a shirt with no sleeves. Don’t forget the lipstick!
Silence , training day , minority report, friday, scary movie 1 and 2, the hateful eight the wolf of Wall Street, the departed, (A Bronx tale) - you’d love that one. Cloverfield - maybe, Dark knight trilogy, the other guys, haunting on hill house - show, million dollar baby, the grand Budapest hotel, planet of the apes - all of them, kick ass, immortals - like 300, wanted, Judas and the black messiah, prisoners, Dallas buyers club, get out, Akira, Spider-Man into the spiderverse, attack the block, wind river, green room,
Alexander revisited! The story of Alexander the Great! I haven't seen anyone ever react to it!
For me it’s got to be Equalizer with denzel or Taken with Liam Neeson.
If you liked braveheart watch the Patriot with Mel Gibson truely powerful film.
Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story
Maybe a comedy would be cool, "this is the end" would be hilarious to see you react to, or even a cheesier but still golden gem "hot tub time machine" 👌
Alrighty then.....You asked..... :PPP Night of the Living Dead (1990) Dawn of the Dead (2004) The Girl with all the Gifts *****Lesser known Zombie flick, but NO ONE has done a reaction to it 28 Days Later Doctor Sleep (but only if you've see The Shining) Ice Age Who Framed Roger Rabbit Shrek Murder on the Orient Express - Either version - Can you solve the mystery? Ready or Not V for Vendetta The Birds (Alfred Hitchcock) Pyscho Rear Window Ya want more? I can keep going :P
Very random list of suggestions here (tried to stick with "good movies that are under 2 hours long): - 500 Days of Summer - About Time - Airplane - Casablanca - The Grand Budapest Hotel - In Bruges - Kiss Kiss Bang Bang - Lucky Number Slevin - The Nice Guys - RoboCop - Stardust - Total Recall (the original with Arnold)
Any genre!!
Hitmans bodyguard
Hmmmmmm, any genre?
Pet Semetary (1989) is pretty good for reactions, even if you haven’t read the book. They usually mash up Stephen King’s books when turning them to movies, but this one was actually pretty good. Misery was good too
Im glad you clarified that it was the original. Depending on what your mom can or cannot tolerate, I would try Hearts in Atlantis. It is a lesser known film but is a great Drama with Sir Hopkins :)
