Universal Has Uninvited Itself 😂
Well… it looks like we won’t be reacting to any more Universal movies on the channel.
Most studios will copyright a reaction and take the monetisation. Annoying, but fair enough. Universal, however, doesn’t just take the money—they take the entire video hostage and straight-up BLOCK it.
The timing is also hilarious. I posted a short review saying I wasn’t a fan of The Odyssey… and shortly afterwards, our Michael reaction gets blocked.
Pure coincidence, I’m sure. Universal definitely didn’t take that personally. 😂
So from now on, we’re not going to spend days filming and editing reactions just for Universal to bury them. We’d rather promote studios that actually allow people to watch the videos!
As The Odyssey is such a massive movie, we may still post a short review sharing our thoughts—but that’s as far as it goes. No full reaction, no free promotion, no Universal-shaped headache.

Been on the fence about The Odyssey for a while now lol anyways s some movies I would recommend are Black Rain 1989 and Vanishing Point 1971 they are both good movies that I haven’t seen many people react to

I know this is unrelated, but is a reaction to “The Furious” on table? It’s a Lionsgate movie, it came out on a digital a couple of weeks ago, and I think it would be cool if you checked it out. I’ve seen your previous reactions, and it’s definitely a movie that’s right up your alley because I know you like martial arts action movies 🥋.

Hey Ash, if you want a horror recommendation that’ll guarantee a lot of No Neck Hannah appearances, I highly recommend the sequel to the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 (1986). It goes full dark comedy rather than the raw nightmare of the OG, but it’s the same writer/director of the OG and they turned up the grotesqueness by having makeup effects master Tom Savini on board. Just wanted to pass that suggestion along as I’m a huge fan of TCM and your reaction to the OG is one of my all time favorites. Much love from California!
I wouldn’t rule out Universal. Just make them a higher tier on Patreon exclusively without edits since you don’t get the extra money from YouTube
Why a higher tier though when we used to get them normally on Patreon? Would be crazy to pay more just for movies from a specific studio.

Let them know! Maybe in the future, Universal will change their ways, but until then do what you have to do! There are plenty of movies out there that you and Hannah will love. Your guys time, energy, and talent deserves the right appreciation

Maybe get the all the other top YouTubers on board with this boycott, show not just Universal that its time to quit with this copyright bullshit when all you are doing is promoting their content to audiences who turn around and pay for it. You are making a fortune for these corporations, corporations in desperate need of new revenue streams and they are still too stupid to realize it.

You could do a review type stuff instead for that studio. For the record, I am one of those that likes films to do something different and swing for the fences (I hate putting the past on a pedestal), and THE ODYSSEY is my personal favorite of the year to date for this reason. In fact, my personal Top 3 of the year so far are those that are not exactly popular: 1) THE ODYSSEY, 2) GOOD LUCK, HAVE FUN, DON'T DIE, and 3) DISCLOSURE DAY The #2 pick is directed by Gore Verbinski (the same director of the first 3 PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN movies) and #3 is directed by Steven Spielberg.

Fzatal Attraction is not Universal Seems kinda spiteful- I wouls looooove to binge you + movies but now I don't know of any movies now to suggest.
Nolan's Odyssey is a terrible adaptation anyways. Also hot take here but I think Christopher Nolan is overrated.

One person's masterpiece will always be another person's overrated. GLADIATOR and THE DARK KNIGHT are both overrated for me.
