I know people are quite split on this with a majority probably preferring the first Guardians, but the 2nd Guardians is my favourite MCU film besides Infinity War. I just adore the character stuff in it, and it makes me ugly cry. Can't wait for your reaction to 2, especially after Hannah loved Groot so much. Baby Groot is an absolute force of nature, haha! And Yondu in part 2... oh my gawd!

The third one is the hardest mcu movie to watch, hands down. Never fails to make me cry no matter how many times I’ve seen it.

Great reaction!! Make sure Hannah really understands that Groot is actually dead, and that the new Groot is his son. It’s like planting an acorn from a dead oak tree: it grows into a new oak tree. It’s not the old tree being reborn, but a new generation growing from it. The fact that Groot truly gave his life for his friends makes his sacrifice even more meaningful and his character even more powerful.

I remember going into this movie with zero anticipation that I was going to like it. Going because I had come to learn that it was going to tie into upcoming films. Going out of obligation. And I remember leaving wondering if I had ever seen anything so amazing in my life.

Please, once you’ve finished Captain America: Civil War, DO NOT proceed directly on to the next movie that was released (Doctor Strange). Instead, please skip ahead 11 movies and watch Black Widow because this is where it falls in the chronological timeline. But here’s the MAJOR WARNING: if you do this, and I think it’s worth it to do this, DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT, watch the post-credits scene as it will spoil content that has taken place in the 11 movies you’ve skipped past. This is my request/suggestion/recommendation.
