I was devastated when it was over because you feel like you become a part of this family with the dragons and all the humans. You genuinely care about them and you've watched them grow. Ash, there’s actually tonnes of animated movies that have moral values. And it’s more fun too because they an do it in a more creative out of this world way unlike live action movies. But yes I agree that this franchise definitely sets the benchmark pretty high. Anyway, if you havent watched shrek, please consider it! There’s four of them and they’re so fun to watch!

Hannah, girl, I cry EVERY time. Its so bittersweet, especially with that beautiful ending. The reunion reminds me of those videos of lions recognizing and reuniting with their trainers. Best animated franchise 100%. Imho it's better than Toy Story 🥰 Perfection in so many ways.

The best animated trilogy of all time. The fact that all the movies are under 2 hours but they gave so much depth, it's amazing. Please add King Kong (2005), The Impossible and Wicked to your list please. They're all so different but think you will both appreciate them

How to Train Your Dragon: Homecoming (2019) was an Christmas special that happens immediately after this. I think you can find it streaming somewhere. I went a long time without watching it and I'm glad I finally did. It will offer a sense of closure for you both. Love these movies and your reactions! Thank you!

There’s actually like a multiple short movies and I believe a spin off series of HTTYD after this one, picking up after toothless, hiccups, and even their babies so if you want to watch those as a pick me up, there’s multiple on Netflix, I believe
