Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End | FULL LENGTH | MOVIE REACTION

I love the first two and like this one . It does go wild like side quests in Skyrim and that's its downside . However the fact that Johnny based Jack on Keith Richards, lead guitarist of The Rolling Stones who then played his father is magical . Next movie not great but fun . Last one better but not as good as the first two .

This is my least fav Pirates movie. I was just glad to hear someone else crack an Amber Heard joke LOL!

Not sure when it changed, but when I grew up liking something wasn't a right or wrong question... enjoyed the reaction regardless you guys deliver on the entertainment, the yt comments are wild on this one 😄

Love your reactions, but mate you missed all the symbolisms! 🤣 I'll admit i might have rose tinted lenses. Johnny Depp was my first love, have been an unapologetic fan since i was 11. Calypso mentioned her love story with Davey Jones in the second movie, the whole he fell in love with a woman and then Gibbs says it was the sea and she responds all different versions, all true. When she meets Will in the second movie Tia Dalma says "you have a touch of destiny about you, William Turner". Because just in meeting him she knew he would be the next captain of the flying dutchman. There's a bunch of other little things that connect the third film but those two stand out to me. Also Davey Jones is all whiney in this movie because of the proximity of his heart which is why he did not want it on his ship.

Just got membership to watch your full reactions for POTC and HP, and yeah this movie is long and confusing at first, but definitely don't stop watching them. The movies are so good and seeing all your reactions sparks my day, im constantly rewatching them

Just want to ask. Have you ever reacted to the Fridays series with Ice Cube, Chris Tucker, & Mike Epps? Pure comedy and a classic series

T

Chris rock is not in Friday

R
Red · May 5, 2025

I think a good reaction would be 2003 UNDERWORLD with Kate Beckinsale. One of the best werewolf and vampire all time. No CGI was used

G
Georgieboy03 · May 4, 2025

Can you guys start The Maze Runner Trilogy I reckon Ash would love that!

A
Alex J. · May 4, 2025

This is one those movies you need to watch more than once to understand.

M
Miles · May 4, 2025

In regards to the other comments - I really love and appreciate your honesty; a whole ton of reactors like to please their viewers and it definitely seems like they all pretend to love everything (with zero negative feedback about anything) so I really appreciate how honest you were.

J
Jon Parker · May 3, 2025

Went in to watching this expecting to not enjoy it after your comments Ash but I was pleasantly surprised, you both did seem to mostly enjoy yourselves whilst watching, I can understand the confusion, this film is bat sh*T bonkers in the best way, the soundtrack, the cinematography, the humour! Its my favourite of the 5 films, so epic

V
Veya · May 3, 2025

can u guys watch Perfume: The Story of a Murderer

N
Nicholas · May 3, 2025

The first Pirates of the Caribbean is the only one you need to watch. I see the requests reaction channels get…. And…. It bothers me how terrible the suggestions are. “I think you’ll like…” UMM NOO… Do yourself a favor and write down the people that have given good requests and weight them higher or you’ll find yourself plateauing like the other reaction channels.

N
Naya Se7en & Skylene Rains · May 8, 2025

I completely agree. " I'll think you'll like ...this movie or that movie" Some other reactor i followed used to watch all new movies that came out of the theatre month or two ago and following that steps. IN that case is complimenting they not fall under the influence of those people who may say like " hey .. watch Kraven the Hunter,Sonic3 you'll like it !"

D
Dan Peligro · May 3, 2025

Awesome that you keep it honest, there are some movies you’re just not gonna like. If I could recommend a movie though I’d say you should watch Rock n Rolla. It’s another Guy Ritchie movie so it’s based in London and has the wit and humor that his movies tend to have.

S
Stoneburner · May 3, 2025

its a movie made to be watched twice especially since a lot of kids watched it for all the action and when they watch it for the second time as adults they understand the story lines and small details. There is a looooooooot of details people miss its actually crafted very well you just have to pay close attention to the things that are happening on screen that the characters don't verbally explain.

K
Kubochaan · May 2, 2025

you and hannah should watch the impossible! you would love it!!

B
BillieAnn Munday · June 2, 2025

Such a great movie, but OMG. Hannah would be a PUDDLE watching that movie! I will always live for a movie based on a true story though. The society of the snow was such a great reaction on this channel for that reason!

C
Cabster · May 2, 2025

I do feel that the story is good and explains itself but there were cases where you may not have heard and such which is the tuff things with reacts so no complaints, great reaction and film

L
Lord of the rings nerd · May 2, 2025

Hey Ash and hannah! Love you guys, as far as the movie goes, it's the 3rd best one in the franchise for me , but I love the original trilogy. The storyline is a bit muddled on first watch I'd agree, I get it but I also love this movie because I grew up with it and watched it over and over. I will say you probably were confused about some stuff because as a reactor you have to talk and entertain people and you did talk over a bunch of stuff that was kinda crucial to hear to understand the movie. I'm not complaining at all because that's why I watch you guys, that's why I pay for patreon 🤣 I love the way you digest and react to stuff, the people that complain about you guys talking over stuff I don't get? Just go watch the movie on your own 🤔 The 4th movie is worse than this in my opinion as is the 5th, BUT they are simpler plots and not as trippy and jumping from storyline to story line so I'd assume you'll prefer them, especially 5 because it has a cooler villain (imo) Anyway! Love the channel, respect your take on it bro Much love

p
pizzahog · May 2, 2025

the next two movies are much simpler

C
Cam · May 2, 2025

Ash, I gotta say man - respectfully, i think you were just in the wrong head space going into this one. I don’t think it’s the best Pirates but it’s definitely not THAT bad! From the beginning i think you were off beat with it. You have to at least appreciate the cinematography. You made it all a joke & i know you have to be performative for the channel but hopefully going forward you get the vibe of the movie from the start.

L
Lara · May 2, 2025

i mean if he didn’t like it it’s ok. everyone has different views

s
samuel thompson · May 2, 2025

Huge fan of the first one since i was a kid, but the second two were messy and the plot is super convoluted. Fun films but the last one is definitely not good, i agree with ash. And they get worse from here, I don't recommend watching any more, but that's just me! Im a bigger fan of films like Parasite and The Departed.

A
Ashley Nino · May 2, 2025

Sad you guys didn't enjoy it as much as I do, but we all have different opinions on movies and that's OK, we can't all have the same perspective and opinion for great art, that's what makes art/movies unique. Still love watching y'all's reactions. I watch the Pirate of Caribbean franchise every year because of how much I love them and I always pick up on little things every time and I think that that's what makes it really good writing that fact that it makes you come back to it to learn more. Anyways, love you guys and can't wait for this next movie list!

p
paul · May 2, 2025

It's so strange that there's been no reaction to Gattaca yet. I remember watching that movie after my graduation around 1996 and it's Ethan Hawkes favorite movie he's ever done, even more of his favorite than training day. Pretty strange.

B
Brittany Buser · May 2, 2025

I'd love for you guys to watch more Johnny Depp movies! One of my favorites is Secret Window (2004) if you're interested!

E
Edward Kaunis · May 1, 2025

SPOILERS sorry don't read pls if you haven't seen the movie Now to the plot points. I really wanna clear some things for all of you guys. This might be interesting SPOILERS!!!! again 1) Norrington got his sword back in the beginning, right? Then Davy Jones took it. That was the same sword that Will Turner made for the commodore in the beginning of the 1 film. Yep. And then in the end Davy Jones stabbed Will with that same sword! That is what you would call ironic. 2) The moment with Jack and the goat... um. the Goat is on the board to give sailors milk. So... Yeah, he just wanted some milk :) 3) Why crabs? Crab is the symbol of Calypso. She's a goddess of the sea. It's just kinda part of the lore. Just accept it. She controls the crabs so they rescue Jack from the salt desert. And in the end she transforms into crabs. Symbolism. 4) The Weirdness in Davy Jones' Locker. Well, it was supposed to be weird lol. It is not our world, but a metaphysical realm. A magical world between worlds where gods rule and strange things happen. And it is Jack's personal hell. The bottom of the sea. No water or wind. Just a salt desert (actually a real location in Utah - Bonneville Salt Flats). A perfect representation of a sailor's/pirate's hell. 5) The backstory between Jack Sparrow and Beckett was omitted. The movie is way too long, so they deleted some dialogue in the final cut. Basically Jack wasn't always a pirate. He was a captain of a merchant vessel called The Wicked Wench. Cutler Beckett hired him once to transport some slaves. Jack agreed but then released the slaves. For that good deed Beckett branded him (that "P" mark) and burned and sank his ship. Yep, this is how Jack Sparrow became a pirate. And then he made that deal with Davy Jones! To bring his ship back. But as I said Beckett burned the ship, so it was blackened. This is why the wicked wench became... the Black Pearl :) This is why Jack was so pissed, when Barbossa stole his ship. This is why the Pearl is the symbol of freedom. 6) Parlay means negotiation. A discussion without fighting. For example when two generals of opposing armies meet to discuss something in the middle of the war for example to exchange wounded prisoners. 7) Captain Teague, the keeper of the code, is indeed Jack's dad. He is played by Keith Richards from Rolling Stones. Johnny Depp is a big fan of him and based some aspects of the character on Keith. The exact reason why Sparrow looks, acts and drinks like a rock star. 8) Calypso scene. She hates pirates because they captured her. But she also hates Davy Jones, because he was the one who showed the pirates how to bind her (thanks to Will, who told her that in the last minute). Now Calypso doesn't want to help any of the sides on the conflict. So she screams in anger and then creates a whirlpool like "F*ck you all, it's up to you now, guys. You fight, I'll take the souls of the dead". 9) After the destruction of Beckett's ship no other ship dared to fight the Flying Dutchman, because it's the most powerful ship in the world. It is magical. It's like a cheat code, this is why Beckett wanted to control Davy Jones in the first place. And then he lost his leverage. Game over. 10) Why can't Elizabeth join Will. Will Turner is no longer mortal. He is a cursed captain of the Dutchman. He's not dead but not really alive. And his ship goes to that world between worlds to ferry souls of the dead. There is no place for Liz in that purgatory place. She couldn't survive there. 11) The scene after credits. I know this is gonna sound crazy but stay with me. Original meaning of that scene with their young son was... the curse was broken. I know it's hard to understand the rules of the Flying Dutchman curse but hear me out please. I'm a geek, I did my homework. I know this because the writers said it in 2007. They based the story of Davy Jones on that old Wagner's opera "The Flying Dutchman". In the opera the captain was cursed to step on land once every 10 years BUT if he would reunite with his beloved girl on land, the curse would be broken. It's like Snow white. True loves kiss breaks the curse forever. And the same idea works in pirates, but the editor deleted some lines of dialogue (the writers were pissed btw). Davy Jones became emo boy because he was expecting to reunite with Calypso and be with her forever after that. But she ghosted him and he was forced to spend another 10 years doing the job. Now with Elizabeth and Will... it's different 'cause they truly love each other. Elizabeth was faithful to him so 10 years later they reunited and that one day lasted forever... And they lived happily ever after. THAT was the original intent. to show the contrast between Calypso+Davy Jones and Liz+Will. But they fucked it all up in movie 5 so don't watch it!

Pria Anyastasia · August 23, 2026

This is so beautiful explanation and I just want to applaud you for that. It kinda felt a little frustrating that they weren't picking up what was happening because I felt like it all made sense, but I had to say that as a kid watching these movies I didn't have any clue what was going on in these movies. I too never understood the crabs bit in the movie initially, but watching it years later with these two I fully understood it and saw that the Calypso symbolizes with the crabs was happening since the beginning of the movie. This is one people have to go back and watch a few times for all the things to click.

So interesting to hear your thoughts about one of my favorite stories of all time. I love the trilogy since I was like 11yo First of all, 2 and 3 film, right? they were writing and filming them at the same time (just like back to the future 2-3). Same director and the two writers from the 1 film btw. Same team, bigger ideas. It's one big complete story. Now we, as "pirates" fans, LOVE it to be complicated. And the cleverness of the script and dialogue with long monologues and negotiation scenes. You actually got right most of the plot points, so bravo. But the real enjoinment comes from rewatching these movies and noticing all the details and and references. Yeah, it was supposed to be too much betrayals because it is the big finale and... they're all pirates. They double cross each other all the time and it's just so fun to watch if you love the characters (even if there's like 11 of them) and know their motivations. It's bigger than Dickens. Yeah, it's hard for some people but I personally love it so do most of the fans. Pirates is not your usual blockbuster, you know ^^

I'm the odd one out... I love all the POTC movies. I'm just a huge Johnny Depp fan I suppose. I can totally see how this is difficult to enjoy on first watch. I struggled with it at first too....but it got better the more I watched it. It's just a difference in opinion. I think differing opinions make for interesting conversations. I always say, "opinions are like assholes, everyone has one and that's ok!" I appreciate your honesty and love both of y'all! (My husband stole my Just Trust Ash hoodie and wears it everywhere....he's probably getting you new subs everyday cause he tells everyone about how great you two are!) Keep being you!❤️

Darya · May 1, 2025

This one is my favorite out of all the franchise. Kinda sad you didn't like it, but at least you're honest ^^ The soundtrack is one of the best of all time; I'm enjoying it every time! I was waiting for your opinion on it as well :) The plot is quite confusing, I agree, but that's what makes it such an interesting and fun watch! If you ever consider watching it again, I promise it will grow on you! Thank you for the reactions and lots of content recently, I really appreciate it!

As much as I personally love this movie and think it’s one of the most enjoyable in the franchise (for what it is), I’m looking forward to seeing the different perspective you guys bring on it 😂 Just be prepared for the battles in the YouTube comments lol this one’s quite polarising. Whether you love or hate a movie you always find a way to entertain us and bring the energy with your reactions. Much love to you both! P.S upcoming schedule looks banging, looking forward to the next few weeks😉

I guess send me off to Oxford as I got it lol. Tbf you do have the curse of all reactors in that you have to talk over bits so you're bound to miss stuff. (plus there are about 50 backstab plots). Also, "Oliver is about to get twisted" was a WILD thing to say less than 5 mins in XD

I will say that the majority of this movie makes no sense, unfortunately I think they just tried to put too much in it and they didnt know how to wrap everything up, but I still enjoy it more than the 2nd movie, that was just too long for me. Barbosa is standout for me in this. Please add King Kong (2005), Once we're warriors, The Impossible and Wicked to your list. They all so different but I think you will appreciate all of them. Much love to you both, thank you for all the laughs you bring
