This is one of my favorites growing up as a kid. It’s the definition of an action packed thrill ride. Prior to the John Wick movies, this was my favorite Keanu Reeves film. Although he did Point Break previously, this was the film that solidified himself as an action star. This was also Sandra Bullock’s breakout role, she had previous success in Demolition Man, but this film made her a household name. Both would appear again in The Lake House. Gravity is an excellent movie she starred in. The baddie was played by the late great Dennis Hopper, some of his other great films are Easy Rider, Apocalypse Now, Super Mario Bros The Movie, and Blue Velvet. The was a sequel called Speed 2: Cruise Control, but I highly advise you avoid that one, it’s one of the worst sequels to a movie I have ever seen. The original never gets old, and still holds up well today.

This reaction was a bit rough at first to watch. From Hannah thinking you could cut wires faster than electricity can flow or Ash thinking you would only get bruises and scrapes from hitting the freeway at 50 miles an hour. By the end you guys seem to have acclimated to the movie and were having fun but the first half was rough for me. And some info: The bomber(Hopper) had a dead man switch on at the beginning so Jack could not shoot him or he would have exploded. And C-4 would not denote from a hard landing hit, it's designed that way(You could shoot it and it would not explode). And the reason older movies had long intro credits was because they wanted to get the score of the movie stuck in your head so you would go and buy the soundtrack for the movie. It was a marketing thing and yes it would also coincidentally give you more time to get refreshments and get into the movie a bit late. All that said this was still fun and much love from Oklahoma, America.
So when the bad guy seemingly blew himself up at the beginning. Why did the police assume he was dead despite finding no human remains at the blast scene? I turned it off around that time. Especially when he laughed like a cartoon villain.
I know yall don't mean to do it but you drop some of my favorite movies of all time at some of the worst moments in my life. I love it though cuz you keep me sane in those moment. I may complain sometimes but I truly appreciate you two so much and will always wish the best for you. All the way from colorado!
The new intro is great. Great reaction guys. And Hannah, Ash was right... they put a paint bomb in the money so it marks both the thief and also marks the money so he can't spend it. A word of warning.... DO NOT, Whatever you do, DO NOT watch the sequel. Dissapointing isn't even the word for it.

In California and some other states (Oregon) you pay a deposit at the store when you purchase your drinks and, when you recycle your empty cans back at the store you get the money back. Oregon was the first state in the country with a "bottle bill" in an effort to clean up the beaches/cities and to promote recycling in the 1970s. So, the ladies with the stroller of cans were probably on their way back to the store to get their deposit back. It is a way that low-income people supplement their income, as well. You "can" make some serious money from collecting pop/beer bottles. I funded my ~$1000 Eagle Scout service project with cans I collected from our neighborhood going door-to-door.
