If y’all remember at the beginning of the movie Gale was talking to Beaty about a second bomb and a delayed explosion. So basically the end plan was his idea, and the reason that Prim died. That’s why Katniss said goodbye to him. He was supposed to protect Prim, and he essentially killed her. The whole point of Katniss volunteering in the Games was to save Prim and she died. It came full circle.

You can all jump on me but when Ash laughed hysterically at the parachute bombing all those people and children, I felt sick to my stomach. Yes, Ash, you did seem evil in that moment. Was very close to unsubscribing but will stick around. Cuz I know you’re not evil.

Have you ever seen Battle Royale? It's an older Japanese film, but a similar idea to hunger games, well worth a watch.

Y'all should really consider watching the prequel called The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes that came out recently. I'm a big fan of this series, but I only just got around to watching it. I was worried it wouldn't live up to the quality of the main films, since it sort of gave me "spinoff" vibes, but it actually really, REALLY exceeded my expectations. It feels like it fits perfectly in with the rest of the films, including lots of fascinating politics and social commentary, just like you'd expect - just covering a different time period and a (mostly) different set of characters. I think y'all would really enjoy it. More than anything, it made me realize how much potential there is with the world they've created for this series, and how many fascinating ways they could explore something like the progression and development of the Games into the ones we know from Katniss' time. Without spoiling it, the prequel gives some neat insight into how certain aspects of the games took form. I've heard talk of them making another book and/or film, about Haymitch's Game, which feels like a pretty logical progression from the last one.

You guys NEED to watch the maze runner trilogy if you enjoyed these. Another great dystopian horrible government series.

I hope you guys plan on watching the prequel as well! It's a bit different from the other films but it's still a really good film that introduces us to a young Snow and showcases his personal connection to the games. The author is also releasing another prequel novel about the game that Haymitch won early next year, and it has already been announced that it will be made into a movie in 2026.

Peeta took Katniss pill after she shot Coin. She was going to take it to die. He ran up to her and took it from her hands. She told Gael in the first movie that she was never having children! he tried to say "i would if i lived elsewhere" or something along those lines but she shot down the idea again. I dont believe she would of ended up with Gael even without the Hungergames. She never saw kids until she was with Peeta. #teamPeeta lol

To Hanna. I hope she finds this comment as I believe she was talking about this in the video. A direct quote from the books from Katniss: "I no longer feel any allegiance to these monsters called human beings, I despise being one myself. I think that Peeta was onto something about us destroying one another and letting some decent species take over. Because something is significantly wrong with a creature that sacrifices it's children's lives to settle its differences. You can spin it any way you like. Snow thought the Hunger Games were an efficent means of control. Coin thought the parachutes would expedite the war. But in the end, who does it benefit? No one. Truth is, it benefits no one to live in a world where these things happen."

By the way, there IS another Hunger Games. Both of you will like it, as it's about the villain, President Snow, and his past. He's about 18 years old, and he falls in love with a girl from District 12, who he is a Mentor for in the Hunger Games. It's actually pretty good as a prequel, and makes you understand Snow and why he became the way he is. In a way, he's a victim of the society he was born into, which is a "kill or be killed" world.

Not sure that you noticed but the actor that plays Ted Wheeler in Stranger things is part of the "Star squad"with the twins and such .He is the one Peeta pushed into the tar lol. Just a fun fact

It wasn’t the last hunger games technically, it’s the last of this series but there is another one called ballads of songbirds and snakes, set in the past which give more insight into the creation of the games

I haven't watched all of it yet but I'm sure my favorite moment is gonna be in this video. And it admires me that Hannah defends Gale so much ahahaha I'm with Ash in this one. Still, it's funny that Ash hates Gale but thinks like him in so many ways. Now let me try to explain, there was a point in the movie where the military was discussing strategies and Gale suggested the idea of bombing a place, so then more people would gather there and they could use a second bomb then to kill more people. It was the bit where Katniss said that killing is always personal. Then, she recognized the strategy when there were two bombs later in the movie, the explosion that killed Prim. That's why Katniss got so mad at him. And in the voting, Katniss agreed with the games so it wouldn't rise any suspicion from Coin, but then she said "for Prim", and Snow didn't kill Prim, Coin did. She did all that from Prim, since the beginning.
