A Quick Update On My Situation (And IoM) Part 2:
Hello people! I wanted to share a part 2 of my current situation, and this time including IoM info too, which is the reason why people are here. I will explain my situation briefly, and after that, the IoM situation.
A) My situation: Like I said previously, I'm very lucky, my place has very little damage and I already have running water again, I'm having internet issues because the earthquake damaged seafloor internet cables, and my main internet provider is not working right now (I have no idea when these cables will be completely repaired, but I have news that the "repair boat/ship" is arriving tomorrow and next week they will start to repair them, they did not tell me the time it will take to fix them), I'm now using Starlink, I will use it until my main ISP is back again, because it's way faster than this one. My family members received a green light to go back to their buildings because the damage does not compromise the structure, and there is no risk of collapse.
B) IoM Situation: The equipment got damaged, but the only complete loss was a monitor. The PC to work on IoM is working fine, and the components are good; the same with the PC to do the AI stuff, so I can work normally.
I'm not going to lie, I'm having a hard time trying to get back to normal because my brain is still processing all that happened, it's hard to focus so I'm not being as productive as I would like, but I guess it's normal after something of this magnitude, I wish I had a switch installed to simply go back at IoM at 100% but I'm just a human and I don't have that switch, I guess that I need some time to get back to normality, seeing so much pain and suffering, the number of people who lost their lifes, families that were completely torn apart, etc it's overwhelming and hard to digest.
But for me, at this time, IoM becomes even more important, because working on IoM now is a way to take my mind off this terrible situation and shut myself and my brain off from it.
I’ve always been very clear and transparent with everyone here. This community is very important to me, and I respect it; that’s why I like to communicate and share what’s going on. In a situation like this earthquake, my thoughts are with my family and this wonderful IoM community. This week has been mentally exhausting, but here I am, reaching out to you all. 💗
While I’m getting back to 100% or until I’m finally able to release the next episode, I’d like it if anyone who wants to unsubscribe does so. Those of you who know me know that the stress I put on myself is greater than any external stress. Being asked when the next episode will be out is nothing compared to my internal thought that there are so many people waiting for the next installment that they’re supporting me with money they’ve earned through hard work and trust in me. This thought in my mind brings stress that I always carry with me and creates a lot of pressure. It’s like a chip implanted in my brain; it’s just the way I think, and this constant stress sometimes makes that pressure counterproductive because it causes me to freeze up and drains my energy. That’s why the simple act of writing this paragraph can help me relieve some of that stress so I can get back to 100% on IoM as soon as possible. (I don't know if I'm expressing myself well here because I'm trying to write in English my thoughts in Spanish)
That being said, tomorrow I plan to post something like I've never done before, you know, I always avoid spoilers... Well, in tomorrow's post, I plan to include two or three videos of the new animations, including spoilers for what's coming. It might sound a little silly of me, but this week I thought that if I hadn't been so lucky and had lost my life in the earthquake it would be like IoM simply dissapeared 😢 , no one would have been able to see what I've been working on for so long during these months and all the effort I've put into bringing complex and realistic animations to the game, from one day to the next, all the posts would have stopped, there would be total silence from me on Discord, I wouldn't be able to keep sending those welcome GIFs messages on Discord, I wouldn't have responded to or continued the direct conversations on Patreon, Subscribestar, Steam, etc. with the amazing people I have met, and the thought that that could have happened… Well, it made me feel sad... That is the main reason why tomorrow, I will break my rule of not posting spoilers; I want to share some of these animations with you.
I think I’ll upload them to Dropbox since Patreon and Subscribestar don’t have a spoiler system. I know there are people who prefer not to see any spoilers, and I think this is the best way to handle it. Even if you see the post, you won’t be able to see the animations directly; you’ll only be able to view them by clicking on the links.
Posts containing adult content (+18) cannot be published openly for everyone to see. This is a rule on platforms like Patreon, but I'm thinking about also opening an account on Xvideos in the future, so I have an option in case I want to share +18 content(videos) openly. (If I do it, I'll let you know what the official link is.)
My brain is working in slow motion and I've been writing this post for like 2 hours (I started at 08:45PM and right now is 11:15PM), so I'm going to try to rest so I can do some IoM tomorrow and also prepare the post with some amazing animations.

I know what you mean about not being able to focus after an earthquake. I used to live in SoCal and I hate earthquakes they and volcanoes are the ones generally there is no warning ahead of time, I'll take a tornado or hurricane any day. Glad you and your family are doing good considering the circumstances.

Hi Anna, thank you so much for your concern about me. 🙂 My mind is definitely on the game; in fact, at a time like this, I think it’s good for me to keep working on it to take my mind off things—but only if I enjoy it. If, instead of enjoying it, it stresses me out, then it would be counterproductive. What matters is that you and your entire family are well. I'm sorry for those who lost, and I understand that this is upsetting; it's impossible to imagine something like this without experiencing it. I can't say much because everyone has to process this drama themselves, but I can tell you that I'm convinced your community won't abandon you. I believe very few will suspend their subscriptions. As far as I'm concerned, I certainly won't abandon you, and you should take all the time you need to get everything you need. I'm sure working on IoM will help you because it's what you love to do, and I won't deny that what you're preparing for us will give us great pleasure.

Stay strong and be brave. I also hope that the social and political situation there can return to normal as soon as possible, because you truly deserve it. You have been living through absolute hell for far too long. My financial situation is not great either. Here in Spain, we are starting a transition towards a very “Venezuelan-style” socialism, and we are being suffocated by taxes and facing many social injustices towards local people. These are strange and turbulent times. But I am considering not only being satisfied with having bought the games on Steam, but also supporting you here for at least a few months, to help you through such a difficult situation. I designed the game so that even those who can contribute the least can play the entire game without any scenes being locked, so that everyone can contribute what they can. I know for myself, I can state confidently that I will continue to support you through this; I believe this community will as well. Take care of yourself first, when you need the distractions, work on IoM if it helps, if you can't do it at times, we'll understand.

Thanks for your earnest message and I hope you will feel less stressed from the IoM side of things after this post. It sounds like you need to process many things including your own sense of mortality, which is deep, man. Cherish your IRL family and friends and don’t sweat us anonymous online people too much although I understand your sense of obligation to us. In some cultures, like my own, people are given one month to grieve and not really do much or a lot less than before the tragedy before they start to try to get back to normal. Take care!
Thanks a lot Filos 🙏 I try my best to balance everything, the priority is family but IoM is something I truly enjoying doing so in a time like this, I honestly think that it is very beneficial for me, but only if I can simply enjoy it instead of putting a lot of pressure on my shoulders. After the message indeed I felt less stressed 🙂 I have the sense of obligation, but by simply being honest and open it make me to keep developing happily and use that time to disconnect to the situation here for a moment which is good for mental health. If I find that currently is not good for me, I wil lstop for a moment, but I don't think so, I think it is good, but again, only if I simply enjoy the time when I develop IoM. 🙂

Hi Jack! I agree with your rule, because if you’re not well, you can’t give your best, both for yourself and for others. 🙂 The post I wrote has helped me reduce my stress a little. I want to use this time to work on IoM as a way to take my mind off things and refresh my mind, but I can only do that if I simply enjoy the development, I don't want to develop with stress at this time because that would be worse. First of all, a hug. I don't intend to unsubscribe until you're 101% productive again. Do what you can, it's normal given the situation. In the meantime, take care of yourself and your family, especially your mental health. It's incredibly important. Working on the game will do you good and, as you say, it will distract you. But don't worry if you're less productive for a while, that's okay. Thanks for the link idea to avoid spoilers. I'm one of those who avoids them, hehehe. It's also nice to be able to see previews if you want, which is ideal in my opinion. I'm also happy that you want to share your work, that you care about it, and that you care about your community. Thanks Darth Najida! ❤️ Yes, mental health is very important right now, all the situation is like a shock to the brain and not easy to assimilate, so it's important to try to isolate for a moment from what happened so the mind is not thinking about it again and again, and I think IoM can help with that, the important thing is to enjoy it instead of getting pressure from it, which is what I want to do this week. well im glad to hear it wasnt far worse. i personaly think you might want to just take a few days to get your self in a good head space. i dont know about others but im willing to wait longer for both updates and content if it means your fealing better.
