On September 15 2006, detectives began investigating the sexual assault of 24-year-old Tiffany Hall from East St. Louis, Illinois. The assault had caused Tiffany to miscarry her 7-month-old foetus.
A week later, police received a tip-off that would break the case wide open, revealing unimaginable horrors that devastated a family and an entire community.

Okay like... you guys know about me and carceral punishment (as well as capital punishment); I am of the opinion, through watching the system grind people up in it for years, that it doesn't work as intended and that the solution lays more in early intervention and social reform. But honestly I have no idea what this lady's problem was. She'd had kids of her own; even though she'd faked a pregnancy she *had* produced a baby to her fiancee so that he wouldn't catch on that she'd been lying. Why go out of her way to kill the other kids? Why not also target the husband if she was trying to eliminate people who knew the lady was pregnant? And there was so little effort to conceal the bodies-- wrapped in a shower curtain but just left in the grass, shoved in the washer and dryer. She definitely had some plan (I think) but for the life of me I can't fathom what it was. Also I was cleaning out my hobby closet while listening to this episode, does anybody want these embroidery kits? Turned out not to be my thing. Found all my old model kits though, time to build some book nooks >:)
