1000% you should do the Home Alone episode!! A genius idea!! 😃
Yep!! I’d love your take on a fictional classic like Home Alone or Die Hard! Keep up the great work. Nick
Please do the home alone episode!! I’ve been thinking lately of the media I’m consuming and how it impacts me. I listen to Casefile to go to sleep (as I know a lot of others do) because Casey’s voice is very soothing. But I’m also aware that listening to such heavy and dark topics while trying to sleep isn’t good for me. I was actually tempted to ask a few times if you guys would consider putting out a lighter fictional episode for those of us who do listen to Casefile to sleep. Home alone would be the perfect version of that!!
I would love a Casefile "Home Alone"! I could see relistening to that episode becoming a Christmas tradition.
If you want comedy in Casefile, relisten to the description of the son's eulogy at his family's funeral in Case 103 (Maybe ~50 minutes in)
As an American I would love to try Australian coffee now! Any brand recs I can order online and brew at home?
I love the idea of a Home Alone episode! Occasionally I write short parodies in the style of Cormac McCarthy - instead of, say, Blood Meridian content, it's with a topic like "required work conference" or "tense family dinner." A satire or spoof is always a nice counterbalance to the darker content we consume.
"The morning of Thursday, December 20th, 1990 was unremarkable for eight-year-old Kevin as he woke up at home. Rubbing his eyes, he reluctantly got out of bed and went down the top floor stairs to get breakfast and see the many family members visiting his parents' five bedroom, upscale home in suburban Chicago for the holidays. Calling out for his mother, father, and brother as he navigated the second floor hallway, he started to sense something was wrong. It was too quiet." [Casefile intro music]
I don't know as many Australian crimes so I agree I would be interested in your take on them.
Yes PLEASE to a “home alone” in casefile style!!
Either “Home Alone” or any fictional comedy with the Casefile treatment would be a great listen.
I can picture it now. "Kevin felt everyone was watching him and that was perhaps why he noticed the two men in the van outside his house. He knew he had to protect himself with the limited resources he had." I would love to see this Home Alone case! 😆
I think the home alone casefile style episode is a great idea!
