Question: The first casefile episode I heard was the Hoddle street episode. It was so brilliantly produced and researched and I became a dedicated follower of casefile ever since. You covered Port Arthur which I though was very brave considering how sensitive and taboo the event is. Will you consider making more episodes on non-US mass shootings? I feel many have been tragically forgotten about like Queen Street, Strathfield Shopping center , and Hungerford in the UK and Aramoana in NZ. I feel like it's been a while since the topic was covered. Enjoy the break and thanks for a great year!
I just want to say that I am sad to know that you have been slammed with work while producing these episodes. Please take care of yourselves! I know you said you won’t take breaks during the Nov-Feb “hiatus” but I think you should take some time off. Everybody deserves to have a little holiday break, and you all do too. Also for next year, maybe consider going back to the 2 weeks on, 1 week off schedule?
I’m wondering if one episode every 2 weeks year round might be a possibility. Looking at the past year, there would have been less episodes total even including breaks. This schedule could give them some breathing room.
Hello case file team! Question on the Bruce Miller case-I know Forensic Files covered that case in the early 2000s. Did any of you watch that episodes, or have watched Forensic Files in general?
Hi! In a previous behind the files episode you spoke about using proper language and using correct terminology when it comes to cases. This made me realize in some of the following episodes you used the word “choke” instead of strangle or choking instead of strangling. In episode 329 (39:58) and premium episode 39 (21:28). Victims of violence and victim’s advocates strongly recommend using the word strangle. Strangling is a violent act against a victim where their airway is forcefully cut off by external pressure, it is intentional and violent. Meanwhile, choking is an accidental blockage of the airway usually when food or some other item has lodged in their airway. It may not seem like a big deal but the difference is super important! Thank you!
I haven’t been a patron for long so I’m sure this has already been covered. But I was curious with the very heavy subject matter that you guys cover do you think it affects your worldview? Do you take certain steps to protect your mental health with specificity to your job?
Hi, about the Roseanne Beckett episode: The part where this witness named Vernon was a "professional kangaroo shooter" really cracked me up. That must be the most ozzie job ever. The question: Do these jobs actually exist? And are there any more interesting Australian jobs that exist in today's age? Greetings from the Netherlands (where we have legal prostitutes)
The Bruce Miller episode was a wild ride! I feel bad that I came away thinking Jerry looked more like a victim than Bruce did. Yeah, both were caught up in Sharee’s web of lies and paid the ultimate price, but one man was living his life completely unaware that his partner was plotting his demise. It’s like when you hear someone didn’t suffer when they died, and somehow that makes it feel a little less awful... What also stood out to me was how Sheree appealed and appealed her sentence, only to suddenly have this change of heart that actually seems sincere. I don’t have a particular question about the case tbh more a request to hear your takes on it.
Hi, general question 1. Have you ever considered covering Malcolm Naden in a premium episode? Question 2. So many examples have been presented in your cases and other podcasts where the jury system has completely failed and innocent people imprisoned If you were innocent would you elect for a judge only trial?
Hi there, not a question, but just a thank you. Yours is my favorite podcast by far and I love how detailed and meticulous you all are with every case. Appreciate all you do! Heather
Hey guys girl meat hunter... No words, It reminded me of the Bernd Brandes (German cannibals case) my question is: do you think people were comfortable back then putting their fetishes online because they were " anonymous"? General question: Do you guys have any pets and what's their names?
I have a question regarding Girl Meat Hunter: what the f***?
Great job on the cases lately! For Bruce Miller, did Sharee ever give a good explanation for a motive to have Bruce dead? The episode mentioned a possible financial purpose, but that seems questionable since her situation was apparently sufficient. A question for general Q&A: since the premium episodes lately have been comparable in length to regular episodes, how is it decided which episodes would make a good choice to have as premium?
