Career Realism Mod FC26 [FIFAMAN] [Free version]

The mod only works with a new Career Mode save. It can be added to other FIFAMAN mods, but only for testing purposes. The Realism Mod is still in the testing stage, which is why it is currently released for free. This will allow us to gather more feedback and suggestions from players to speed up the development of the final Realism version for FIFAMAN mods.

🔎 Scouting & Youth Talent Search

We have completely overhauled the scouting and youth recruitment system. In the base game, it often felt far too easy — and even a little overpowered. For a relatively small amount of money, you could quickly uncover future superstars, sometimes on your very first attempt.

We wanted to change that and bring the system much closer to real football.

Now, when you hire a scout, you are no longer just bringing in one individual. In practice, you are building an entire scouting setup under that scout’s leadership — a team that travels abroad to identify talent. This is now a serious investment that requires substantial resources.

For example, hiring a 5★ scout now costs around €25 million, while a 4★ scout costs around €10 million. Our goal was to make elite youth development something mainly associated with the strongest clubs, just as it is in real life. That is why the cost of building a top-level scouting network has been increased so significantly.

At the same time, we did not forget about smaller and mid-level clubs that simply cannot afford those kinds of expenses. More affordable options are still available:

1★ scout — around €500k
2★ scout — around €1.25 million
3★ scout — around €2 million

This creates a much more realistic balance: smaller clubs can still search for talent, but building a truly powerful academy now takes time, planning, and investment.

If you start a career with a mid-table or weaker club, you now have an extra long-term objective: gradually developing your scouting network over time. In many ways, this feels like building an academy structure from the ground up — hiring a scout is almost like opening another academy branch for your club.

We have also reworked the cost of the scouting process itself. Before sending a scout on assignment, you now genuinely have to think twice.

Previously, you could send a scout to almost any country and be nearly guaranteed to find a talented player who could be sold for tens of millions a few seasons later.

Now scouting feels like a real investment:
you commit money, time, and resources — and success is no longer guaranteed.

The end result is simple: youth scouting used to be a low-risk source of easy profit and often felt exploitable. Now it is a proper long-term project with real risk attached to it — one that can either produce massive success or fail to meet expectations, just like in real football.

✅ The available scout pool now refreshes every 30 days instead of every 7
✅ 5★ scouts are only available to 5★ clubs
✅ Dismissing a scout is now much more expensive (roughly ×10)
✅ Finding a true wonderkid is now significantly harder
✅ Chance of finding a top talent:
 • 1–2★ scouts — around 1%
 • 5★ scouts — around 8%
✅ Attribute-based scouting filters are now more demanding
✅ Academy player age range expanded from 12 to 20
✅ Maximum academy size increased to 30 players
✅ Academy players can be promoted to the senior team from age 15
✅ Minimum academy contract length is now 1 year
✅ 12–14-year-old players can no longer spawn with unrealistically high ratings (60+)
✅ More realistic academy departure chances based on age (16–21)

⭐ Talent Tiers (Bronze / Silver / Gold / Platinum)

✅ Platinum talents are now extremely rare (0–1%)
✅ Gold talents appear less often (2–5%)
✅ Silver players appear at a moderate rate (8–30%)
✅ The majority of academy players are now Bronze-tier prospects

✅ At the same time, Gold and Platinum talents are now much stronger in terms of attributes

✅ Training growth is now slower and more realistic
✅ The bonus for an “Excellent” result has been reduced
✅ Difficult drills now provide a smaller extra boost
✅ Young players receive a smaller development bonus
✅ XP gain has been reduced by around 30%

🔄 Transfer Market

We have heavily reworked the transfer market and contract system. Player prices, wage levels, and negotiation logic between clubs and players have all been adjusted. As a result, transfers now feel much more realistic, and securing a good deal is no longer quite so easy.

In real football, a transfer is not just about numbers. Many factors influence whether a move happens: player loyalty, time spent at the club, contract conditions, and even the country in which a player is currently playing.

Those factors now play a much bigger role in Career Mode as well.

For example, players who have been with the same club for a long time (2–5 years) are now less likely to agree to a move. Loyal players and veterans are much harder to prise away with transfer offers.

On top of that, many highly talented players with strong potential are now more likely to have release clauses in their contracts, making them more expensive and more difficult to sign — especially for top clubs.

We have also reworked negotiations themselves. Deals now progress in a more natural way: clubs make counteroffers more often, negotiations can take longer, and players are less likely to accept just any offer placed in front of them.

All of this makes the transfer market feel more alive and much closer to real football, where every deal is a complicated process involving negotiation, compromise, and long-term strategy.

✅ Loyal players are less likely to join another club
✅ Veterans and captains are significantly harder to sign

✅ A player’s long history with a club now has a stronger impact on transfer decisions
✅ Players are more likely to prefer staying in their own country
✅ Shared nationality with a club now matters more when deciding on a move
✅ Star players are now harder to keep at your club
✅ Mid-level players are more likely to agree to contract renewals
✅ In negotiations, wages can now be lowered by 10–20%
✅ Contract expiry reminders now arrive 180 days in advance instead of 90
✅ Age 38 is now treated as the veteran threshold
✅ The final day of the transfer window now lasts 24 hours
✅ The number of free agents has been significantly reduced
✅ Top players are now far less likely to be left without a contract
✅ Clubs are more likely to renew deals for strong players
✅ Loan deals are now harder to complete
✅ Loaning clubs are now more willing to cover only 40% of a player’s wages (previously 50%)
✅ Loan recall periods have been increased to 12 or 21 days
✅ Wages for star players (78+) have increased by roughly 20–30%
✅ Wages for superstars (86+) have increased by roughly 50–55%
✅ Goalkeepers now earn wages closer to outfield players
✅ Strikers now earn slightly more on average than most other positions
✅ Wages in Europe’s top 5 leagues have been increased
✅ Saudi Arabian clubs now offer much higher contracts, reflecting real football
✅ Wage limits for young players and veterans are no longer artificially restricted
✅ Clubs are now more likely to make a counteroffer instead of walking away from negotiations after a low offer
✅ Players are more likely to accept equal wages or a small raise (+10%)
✅ When rejecting an offer, players may now come back with a counteroffer instead of ending talks completely
✅ Wage negotiations can now be resumed the next day instead of waiting a week
✅ Buying clubs are less likely to immediately give ground in negotiations
✅ Selling clubs are more likely to stand firm on the player’s initial valuation
✅ Players are less likely to accept wage reductions
✅ AI now negotiates more rationally and is less likely to overpay
✅ Response times have been increased — clubs may now “consider” a deal for 2–5 days during the transfer window and 7–12 days outside of it
✅ In Spain (La Liga and Segunda), release clauses appear especially often, just like in real football
✅ Player swap deals happen less frequently
✅ Selling clubs are more likely to ask for a percentage of a future sale
✅ Young players aged 17–24 are now more expensive (+20% to +45%)
✅ Players with high potential are valued much more highly
✅ Veterans aged 31+ are now noticeably cheaper

🎮 Match Simulation

We have introduced a number of small but important changes to match simulation, both for AI vs AI games and matches involving the player. These adjustments are designed to make results, player statistics, and overall season outcomes look far more realistic.

Simulated matches now do a better job of reflecting player attributes, in-game situations, and the impact of key match events. This leads to more believable top scorer and assist charts, while also making team behaviour in simulated matches feel closer to real football.

✅ Shots on target now carry more weight than possession
✅ Teams that create more chances are more likely to win matches
✅ Less meaningless possession without real attacking danger
✅ Assists now influence match ratings just as strongly as goals
✅ Red cards now have a much bigger negative impact on player ratings
✅ Simulated matches can now feature up to 12 cards
✅ Red cards now happen more often
✅ Second yellow red cards are slightly more common
✅ AI is more likely to make double substitutions
✅ AI is more active with half-time substitutions
✅ Tired players are now almost always replaced
✅ AI no longer receives hidden nerfs against the player’s team
✅ Sharpness and morale for opponents have been brought to equal conditions
✅ Matches are now noticeably more competitive

👥 Players

The changes also affect players themselves. This is not about directly editing overall ratings, but rather about adjusting deeper parameters that become more noticeable over the course of a Career Mode save.

We have reworked a range of internal systems that influence development, form, age-related decline, and long-term player behaviour. These changes are not always obvious right away, but they become increasingly visible as seasons go by.

⚽ Top Scorers & Assist Leaders

✅ Top scorers are now determined more heavily by striker attributes (finishing, heading)

✅ Players from leagues outside the top 5 now have a much better chance of winning the Ballon d’Or

⚙️ Other Changes

Beyond the major systems, we have also reworked a large number of smaller settings and internal values which, together, make Career Mode better and more believable overall.

Increased Coach Limit: The maximum number of coaches has been expanded to 20 slots. This allows you to build a massive, specialized backroom staff that covers every department—Goalkeeping, Defense, Midfield, and Attack—simultaneously. Enhanced Attribute Impact: Coaches have a much stronger influence on player growth. High-rated staff significantly accelerate the development of specific attributes (like finishing or tactical awareness) compared to the base game. Realistic Staff Costs: Salary structures are rebalanced. Elite coaches now demand realistic wages, forcing you to manage your club's financial budget more carefully. Tactical Vision Boost: Coaches provide a bigger "Tactical Knowledge" bonus. This means your team masters styles like Gegenpressing or Tiki-Taka much faster, leading to better AI positioning during matches. Recovery & Fitness Management: Performance coaches have a greater impact on player stamina and recovery times, making your choice of fitness staff crucial during heavy fixture schedules. The minimum number of assistant coaches available at the start has been increased to 8 (in the base game it’s 4). The maximum star requirement for any position is now 20 stars. Coaches are now also more expensive to ensure a more rewarding difficulty. The attendance system has been enhanced. Matches involving small clubs will be more affected by weather conditions, reducing crowd attendance accordingly, while big clubs will barely be affected. Less important matches for smaller clubs will also have lower attendance, while large clubs will see almost no impact.
