Great video all around. Funny and educational, as ever. True story: I heard of Cuphead all of two hours before I saw you put out this video (and it wasn't because anyone called it racist - it was a promotion on Steam.)

i think that racist caricature of african-americans playing dice all the time comes from the fact that gambling was relatively popular among poor black communities in the 20s. Malcom X talks about it a lot in his autobiography.

This was a really rad video Shaun!! I feel like it would be better if you spoke more about the ableism of the game, but I think you covered a lot of things here !!

Indeed, nowadays, there's a tendency to pretend there isn't a context: either the gamergaters do it, the artists did it in order to pretend there was nothing worth arguing about and even our own side does it - which is rather disturbing. Also, where do you find those ridiculous youtubers? You go through such pains :D.
