Now you're on the plane, and Lucy is sleeping peacefully in the window seat beside you with her hat pulled down over her eyes. She's leaning against the window with a paperback open on her lap, her small chest rising and falling gently. Occasionally, she lets out an adorable snort.

You're drifting in and out of sleep as well. As they always seems to do when you trying to sleep on a plane, your dreams swirl around in your head in weird snippets, like papers blowing in a wind. You catch glimpses, it seems, barely remembering any of them as your head nods and your eyelids flutter...

You see Tori sitting at the edge of her bed, nervously fidgeting her hands...

You see Olivia and Skye grinning out at you...

You see your mom standing on the front porch of your home, waving you inside -- only, she isn't waving with her hands.

She's waving at you with two hairbrushes...one in each hand! You immediately recognize them as the Christmas presents you and your siblings received: smooth, hard, pliant wood with gold embossing on the back.

One of them says your name on it... and the other says LUCY!!

This is one of my personal favorite commissions -- I love writing about this fam, it's soooo much fun! This story has one of my personal favorite scenes: it's at the end of the "brat" path when you and Lucy get into mischief around the neighborhood.
