WATERJET ENGINE BOAT
Hi everyone!
This week I tried to make a boat with the waterjet engine, I added a steering nozzle and a reversing cup and I think we have a proper steering and reversing concept, as always there are a few mishaps proper of the first iteration but we have a solid concept here.
The next test will be with a boat and two waterjet engines while I do a redesign of this one as that's a job bigger than it might seem. The two engine waterjet will use differential steering which will avoid the weight of the steering and reversing mechanism and will give us the best chance of getting a lot of speed.
Please let me know your thoughts in the comments!

Hoping you're going to build a hydrofoil also, but that will be hard to test in the workshop! Suggest making the nozzle a bit longer next time
Maybe a knife edge into a c-shaped channel where the gasket material is, then some sort of clamping force to push it together. That's how the water tight doors work on the Naval ships
Actually really like the <dramatic voice=""> Balls of Buoyancy</dramatic>
I think I'll need to go double the volume just to raise the buoyancy line up to where we need it to be. That just means increasing the XYZ dimensions around 20-25% as you said. Next week I will be testing a simpler differential steering but I'm already working on this one but bigger and with all the modifications that I've seen necessary through this test. Thanks!!!
I agree with you, just upsize a bit to get the flotation you want, maybe 20-25%?
