An update about Rise From The Ashes

I hope you’re all having a great week. Today, I’d like to give you a little explanation about what I shared the other day. I’ll try to address some of the questions I received in private, as well as the ones you might be wondering about. If you have any other questions, feel free to leave a comment or message me directly.

First of all, you might be wondering why I’ve started working on a new project while I’m still developing Love or Power. I’d like to clarify that. Rise From The Ashes (I’ll refer to it as RFTA for short) is actually a game I started developing before Love or Power even existed. Back then, I had been working on RFTA, but due to technical issues like my computer not being powerful enough and other problems, I had to abandon it before it was ever released.

The other day, I stumbled upon the old files again and realized I had already rendered almost an entire episode. So even though I’m not entirely sure if I’ll continue it long-term, I decided to remake and remaster it into something that players could still enjoy. I went over the characters, renders, and other elements once again to improve them. It’s not fully completed yet, but a large portion of it is already done.

Development for the next update of Love or Power is still ongoing, and there’s absolutely no change in that. Love or Power and RFTA do not take place in the same universe. They are entirely separate stories, though you might notice a small reference in the first episode of RFTA.

I’ll be sharing more details about the story in a new post very soon, along with some additional in-game images. The main character of RFTA is completely different from the protagonist in Love or Power. He will be more emotional and more human. I’d say they’re total opposites. While Love or Power features a powerful lead from the beginning, RFTA’s protagonist will grow stronger through the things he experiences. The game will also be more combat-focused, and I plan to put extra effort into the fight scenes. And yes, there will definitely be a good amount of adult content as well.
