Dad Reacts to The Stone Roses - The Stones Roses

The Smiths next, start with the debut!! Keep up the great content big fan!!!!!
It was kind of a vibe cut when the Elephant Stone came, I like it but it definitely doesn't go in the album, at least no where it was placed. And you can tell because Waterfall came and you guys lost it entirely. Amazing album!
Damn, you guys listened to the US version but it still missed out Fools Gold, last track on the album and my all time favourite
Would love to see it as a single reaction. 10 minutes of greatness
Loved your reactions to "Don't Stop". I was really confused by it on the first go-around but it eventually became my favorite on the album.
Yep, This is the One is still played at old Trafford at every game. Just before our interepretation of Country Roads also comes on.
It's interesting that you drew upon some likeness to the Rolling Stones as the Stone Roses famously rejected the opportunity to go on tour with the rolling stones being their opener after their debut album released. Reason being that they already felt like they were too big to be a supporting band to anyone... Not sure in retrospect if that was a god decision given that they never broke into the North American market but cool bit of trivia for you. Another fun fact is that after John Squier left the band, Slash from Guns n Roses supposedly trialled out.
You guys should also watch their comeback movie documentary 'Made of Stone' (2013) which has some killer live performances and shows you the hype of the UK when they announced their comeback almost 20 years after breaking up.
The drummer 'Reni' provides the harmonies and backing vocals
Would be good to see you guys react to these Stone Roses singles on the Patreon as they are excellent: 1. Sally cinnamon, 2. Elephant Stone (remastered) - different from the US album which is more of a demo, 3. Fools gold, 4. One love, 5. Mersey paradise, 6. Where angels play, 7. Fools Gold 8. Something burning 9. What the world is waiting for 10. standing here, 11+ Loads more on spotify but these would be my top ten
One of the greatest debuts ever. Id like to see you check out the second album. Its very different to the first one. Not as critically acclaimed but still good. Very Led Zeppelin inspired. Also b-sides, One Love, Somethings Burning. Also. How can I persuade you guys to review The Happy Mondays? Thrills Pills n Bellyaches.
No fools gold?
As someone who grew up in Manchester in the 90s. This is an all time classic. Have been counting down for this reaction
This is the best, simple as that
Very glad you have done the album! I grew up with my dad playing this around me so very fond of it. Interestingly never heard Elephant Stone and not too mad about that...! Genuinely gutted you didn't get to hear Fools Gold, though! You must listen on your own accord!!
Another great reaction! I'd love you to react to their second album just for the opening track Breaking Into Heaven - one of favourite tracks ever.
omg couldn't believe my eyes when i saw the thumbnail - brings me backkkkkk 🍋💛✨
gotta get to the new quad!!
I would LOVE it if you guys did a Conan Gray album, especially superache !!
Your I Am The Resur-reaction was exactly as expected, tops of a pretty flawless debut with an absolute jam.
Following the Manchester band theme, you guys should listen to the band ‘Blossoms’. They have such a unique style for a modern band, and their debut album is brilliant.
Love this!! Not super relevant but I’ve always wanted to see y’all guys’ reactions to The Black Parade by My Chemical Romance!!
Your live reaction of everything in I am the resurrection was just like mine. ‘Woah this is like a whole new so- oh my goodness this is groov- that guitar tone woah’. Second Coming is cool - try get Fools Gold in too cause I thought that was on this album! It’s a swaggerier version of I am the resurrection :))
woooopp one of my favorites 😍😍🙏🙏
You’d love keo debut album ‘put a smile on for me’
Love this album, please do This is Happening by LCD Soundsystem🙏🙏
You guys NEED to watch The Stone Roses: Made of Stone
You need to listen to the turnstile cover of I wanna be adored It is one of my favourites of all time
Absolute tune! one of my fav albums oat, glad u reacted to it! GO ON with the UK run. The Queen Is Dead - The Smiths, next up??
GURRIERS!
Still need the AZ chike.
GOATed, at last. The jealousy I have for hearing this for the FIRST time in 2026!
Please do Joy Divison-Unknown Pleasures
Can we get xo by Elliott smith someday? I know yall reacted to either/or awhile back I’d love to see more of the discography! Much love!
Or from a basement on the hill either of those would be lovely
react to teenage fanclub - bandwagonesque. Oasis called them the second best band ever.
SOMETIMES IIIIIIIIII... what a banger, that one just blows you away
can you please do actual life 3 Fred again I bet ur dad loves it
oof sorry yall had the flow ruined for you a bit because you listen to the American version, which just tacked on two (great, some if their best to be clear!) singles that didn’t fit the album really much at all in my opinion. Still great songs though! it’s funny because they’re known for being in band that synthesized dance pop. with the idea of being a rock band still, and yet that’s my represented more in their singles, although you can still hear it in the album.
please do royston club🙏🙏🙏
great reaction guys, this is the one is still played at every game at old trafford 🇾🇪🍋
IM INNNNNNNN
Haven’t clicked on a video so fast in a long time! You need to listen to ‘Fools Gold’, it’s on a later version of the album I think & is a classic!
Need to do The Second Coming too
I am the resurrection is one of my favourite songs ever ! I’m from Manchester and they play it in a lot of indie clubs all across the uk.
What an album. Guys you also have to listen to the song Fools Gold, an extra on the deluxe version and one of their biggest hits.
Gurriers mentioned!!!
favorite record of all time, seminal
holy shit yessss
Elephant Stone was only on the US album release
aphex twin
i screamed when i got this notif i was literally thinking about you guys doing this yesterday
Oasis, interpol, stone roses… you’re on a roll!! The Smiths soon?
Will never forget turning 18 (in 2018) and going out on my birthday to an indie club near me that has been open for decades. Sticky floors, cheap beer, etc. Me and all my friends got in and Waterfall was playing… I’d never heard it before but it quickly became a favourite of mine
this is a weird way to spell quadeca life 1 reaction but i respect it (i love this album too)
OMGGGG. What a pick, a perfect rock album one of the best of the 20th century
Early as fuck and what a banger album too! I used to listen to this at my friend’s house when we would cut class. Good times 🤙
