Dad Reacts to Boards Of Canada - Inferno

Would love to see a Culture 1 reaction or Reasonable Drought by Stove God (Produced by Roc Marciano) - a bit of a nicher pick but it's an amazing album and scratches the itch you get from hearing his short verse on FICO.

The album “Sakura” by Susumu Yokota is worth a listen too. Unreal. Also would be interested to see Nujabes get covered

I would give a limb to have the chance to listen to this with my dad. BoC are the world to me and my dad is no longer with us, he wouldn't have been so open to new music as Kevin but just having the opportunity would mean everything to me. I hope you guys treasure what you have!

This was my first Boards of Canada album, I enjoyed it so much, I will have to go back to their other albums

Boards of Canada are one of the many musicians in my main playlist on Spotify that’s mostly trip hop with some lofi and post industrial music that feels like something you might hear in a cutscene in a Silent Hill game. So cool to see you guys do this album.

Definitely need to listen to Music has the right to children. My favourite BOC album. also Aphex Twin and Tim hecker like the other comments mentioned too!

Solange has sampled BOC! Also did a remix on her personal MySpace too

Super atmospheric, love it - even with the uneasy tone. BTW recommend the band Deary - Birding for a different sort of dreamy soundscape listen

AS far as context... life. Also if you like their stuff check out Casino Vs. Japan & christ(.) [ who used to work with Boards of Canada ] If BoC toured i'd sell my left nut to get a ticket.

Enigma is a great reference, definitely think they had an influence on them.

I'm so glad you guys are diving into boards of canada! all their albums blow me away and give me feelings that I can't explain. I would absolutely recommend doing music has the right and geogaddi. Thank you guys for this wonderful reaction and I wish you two the best!

They’ve performed live once and given one interview btw. There’s elusive and then there’s these two.

Geogaddi is their best tbh, you guys really should consider checking it out. It's amazing

Hello boys! Would love for you guys to check out Star Scum City by 2charm! Even off if off video, its mostly produced by Ninajirachi and its incredible

Please listen to the album „the head hurts but the heart knows the truth“ by headache! It sound much like inferno but in a more depressive and introspective way :) I’m sure you‘re gonna like it

This record is bonkers and I love it, also nice twenty one pilots shirt!

Great video!! Aphex twin should be next I love first album masterpiece

Syro by Aphex Twin is feels Like a electronic drum exercise with beautiful groovy synths, should definitly check this one out, it’s so weird but so catchy and nothing Sounds Like it… also i find it underrated in his catalogue

Yeah this album is amazing thank you for putting me on to this. Day 12 of asking for Dragon New Warm Mountain I Believe in You by Big Thief

43:45 since when is 2013 15 or 16 years ago 😆

I know it’s random but I’d love to see a reaction to Nipsey - Victory Lap.

Still waiting on Habibti

Getting closer to an Aphex Twin reaction

Bladees Sulfur Surfer is so fun and fresh. worth a reaction 100%

Exciting stuff. Never sat and listened to one of their albums before despite liking a lot of their music, this is what this channel’s all about

The context I listen to BoC in depends on the album, but all of them can be listened to casually, driving, outside, doing the gardening. Or with full undivided attention, in a dark room, headphones on, hi-fi system and whatnot. 🌈 MHTRTC : A beautifully hazy nostalgic experience with a ton of fun trippy beats 😈 Geogaddi: More darker, hellish, psychedelic, also hazy and nostalgic 🏄 Campfire Headphase: Summer vacation, memories of coastal drives along the beach 🏜️ Tomorrows Harvest: The apocalypse, the soundtrack to a movie that doesn't exist 🔥Inferno I am still figuring out, but to me, it's about the human spirit. What makes us who we are, and a perfect yin yang of darkness and hope. I waited 13 years for this album, and it has succeeded in terms of how much I expected to fall in love with it. I had no idea it would sound the way it does, but I knew I it would be yet another album of theirs I could listen to until the end of time. BoC never misses, and Tomorrows Harvest deserves more love, as subtly uncomfortable as it can be. Great reaction, I'll be sharing this with my mates who also love BoC. I have been watching your videos since the early Radiohead days (Kid A was my first), and have always wanted you guys to find time for BoC. I am very happy you guys finally jumped in with Inferno, as I think it's a perfect starting point for people to dive in. You guys talked over the music at points where it usually made sense, just be aware that they are known to throw in totally unexpected samples/sounds when you least expect it and then never return to it again. Stuff that can be easily missed, as they don't always make it super loud in the mix. If you ever do more BoC albums (and I hope you do), it would be safe to pause and talk in between the tracks. Also, please don't feel like you need to talk over instrumental music for us, it's just as fun to watch you guys vibe out. PS. There is a mixtape BoC released in 2019 called Societas X Tape, it's 2 hours of the most obscure psychedelic music I have ever heard, definitely not something to be missed. ✌️

need that aphex twin now. loved this video

love ur shirt kevin

Data soon…?

Glad to see this getting a reaction! Need to see Leroy- status update music soon! It’s Jane removers side project and an absolute blast!

I feel like Kevin would really love Tim Hecker, he’s my go-to ambient artist for spacing out or sleep aid. Harmony In Ultraviolet is a masterpiece!

Kv and boards of Canada in the same day. Fuck me all the way up boys

Whoa did not expect this

Music has the right to children and Geogaddi reactions soon plssss The album is incredible
