Hello guys, I hope you find this suggestion interesting! If y'all are thinking about reacting to "4", you might want to consider listening to it with the original tracklist, which opens with "1+1" and ends on "Run The World (Girls)", because it's more cohesive and smooth, basically it eases your way into it and finishes on a high note. I'm saying this 'cause the one on Spotify is taken from a Deluxe Version which includes two more tracks but the order is a bit of a mess, I find that it does a disservice to pretty solid tracks, fails the vision Beyoncé had for this project and it seems to throw a lot more people off than it should. That's it! ♡

In regards to y’all talking about the original CC vinyl, my theory is that the original pre-order pressing she did of the album before it was officially released actually was supposed to be named “Beyincé” which is why the cover is different and her sash says Beyincé and it doesn’t have all of the CC songs on it. I think that was her original concept that she had finalized after she got slammed for her CMA performance of “Daddy Lessons” with The Chicks in 2016 which prompted her to make a country album. I think she went back to it and added more when she decided to release it for act ii which is why the actual “Cowboy Carter” pressings that came out after she officially released the album have all the tracks and a different cover. I have both versions of the vinyls and the pre-order CD too. 😌

Everything is Love by The Carters + The Gift are two of the most underrated albums ever IMO

FYI, this album was created right after Beyoncé finished filming Dreamgirls, where she played a very meek, controlled character. She’s said that experience made her want to reclaim her power and independence, which is why B’Day feels so bold, punchy, and explosive vocally. You can hear that urgency and confidence all throughout the album. What’s also wild is that she recorded the project in just two weeks. She basically turned the studio into a creative war room by booking multiple floors and having different producers working simultaneously, almost in competition with one another to see who could create the hardest-hitting records. That pressure-cooker environment is a huge reason why the album sounds so colorful, diverse, and energetic from track to track. The Hive also has this long-running joke that B’Day is Beyoncé’s loudest album, which honestly tracks because every song comes in swinging. Though personally, I still give that title to 4.

Shameless fun fact plug but Rich Harrison is from Washington, D.C. so a lot of his produced songs have Go-go inspiration (historic sub-genre of funk specific to the Black community of D.C.). Crazy In Love and 1 Thing by Amerie are probably his best examples of this.

So happy about this! It was so vindicating to see Kevin emphatically call Irreplaceable a banger after 4 albums of him citing "to the left to the left" as the reason he hadn't taken Beyoncé seriously😂 The instrumentation on this album is just so awesome. If Beyoncé’s involved, I’m all in! And you still have plenty of amazing albums to look forward to. I know you’ve revisited the past a bit, but from her more recent era, *The Gift* is still missing—I highly recommend watching the visual adaptation inspired by the album, titled *Black Is King*, which is available on Disney+ (for now, since the Queen has been shelving everything, unfortunately). As for the tracks on the B'Day Deluxe album, I recommend “Listen” and “Beautiful Liar” featuring Shakira! And also, YES, ALL THE PERFORMANCES OF “RESENTMENT” ARE AMAZING—even better than the studio version—but I recommend watching Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s first joint tour, On The Run I. The tour took place during the release of their self-titled album and before Lemonade, and she cries during the performance of Resentment, which is on the set list—most likely because of the famous cheating scandal that broke out around that time. During the tour, they act out a “fictional” story like Bonnie and Clyde, but at the end they tell the “real” story, and the finale is perfect! You’re going to love it—it’s on YouTube, and I believe it’s on Prime Video too.

Beyonce made many changes to CC after the first run of vinyls had been pressed. As much as it sucks that it’s missing songs it has some really cool alternative versions of songs you cant find on streaming.
