Dad Reacts to The Strokes - Angles

rip to my high school tumblr, takenforaf0ol

Wow first time I've heard a Billy Talent reference since high school 21 years ago

A funny story about the first time I heard this album, I had just moved in with some friends during my college years. I didn't know that one of my friends had this album on a CD player in the living room, and it would play loudly when he set it as an alarm. I wake up late one morning, a little hungover, and I'm home alone. All of a sudden, I hear that high-pitched whirring sound from the first track, Machu Picchu, and I legit thought the house was about to explode. I was looking around and started running towards the door. I'll never forget the surprise and relief I felt when the song kicked in! Memorable first listen.

Subbed for this one, I'm really excited for the new album, love seeing the two of you listen to these great albums. I would LOVE to see y'all do some Voidz if you felt up for it......

new patreoner here i love you guys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

are you guys going to do the future present past EP by the strokes from 2016 as well? those songs are great

Can you react to data

Walked my dog while relistening to disintegration and now I get to see this :D Also I can't wait to see what can be done in terms of a ttt minecraft server! I saw the discord had something in the past and there have been a bunch of hosting options becoming available so maybe it'll be easier to set up

I Would LOVE if you did Future Present Past EP somehow

Billy Talent mentioned! Love Billy Talent, wish they were more known in the States

Love listening to these. Julian has one of the best underrated cathartic screams in rock. You just want to yell along with him. Any chance of reacting to Phrazes For The Young? It's my favorite album.

New KNEECAP album plssss

Kehlani? Pls?

Don't keep us waiting to long with the other albums, especially "suns tirade" and "cilvia demo", yall are going to be sad you waited so long!

Time to review Daft Punk Alive 2007 boys

THAT'S SHOWBIZ BABY! by JADE next plzz

this is fireee, loving the strokes reactions🔥

Fun fact: Julian does not play any instruments on the strokes tracks. however he did write every single song in the first 3 albums. including lyrics and instruments. mainly writing guitar parts on piano and transcribing them to dis guitar parts.

please listen to the new kenny mason album “BULLDAWG” very easily album of the year for me so far

Shoudve listened to another drake album before the new one

Not sure if you've seen it but you should react to Jessie Ware - What's Your Pleasure. Amazing disco album from 2020 definitely worth a listen

Julian is on my favorite Daft Punk song, but I haven't dived into his stuff outside of The New Abnormal so excited to go back and watch your previous Strokes reactions!

You guys need to listen to some Interpol too. Turn on the Bright Lights rivals some of the best strokes albums imo

Nice vid, underrated album that always breezes by in a good way. Those first two Voidz records are so jam-packed with music, and a lot of what your dad was digging from this album, in a way, too. I like most of their output, so maybe I'm biased, but you gotta react to the voidz.

Please please please PLEASE react to The Voidz! The first 2 albums are amazing and the new album all the singles are also worth checking out!

Can't wait for comedown machine, Happy Ending from it was my first strokes song when Spotify shuffled it, and I was hooked ever since. Excited for the new album too!!!

WOOHOOO STROKE IT STROKE IT

Please check out the future present past ep :o

Billie eilish has a cover of call me back it’s pretty cool

I think after you review all the albums including Reality Awaits you should do a re-listen of The New Abnormal, as you did for Blond. In terms of importance for this era of mixing traditional instruments with electronic and synths, it's one of the most important albums. You've mentioned that you listen to several songs from TNA in you car rides though so it might be on the top of your head.

What Costco food item is this album? I think the pesto meatballs

Lets go!! Would love to see you guys listen to The Voidz. I think your dad would absolutely love Flexorcist from the album "Like All Before You" and 'Did My Best". I'd maybe recommend doing a vid on their best songs though instead of individual albums

MP3 version??

OH YEAHHHH

This album is so good! Nobody I know has ever heard it except for me. 😭I’m dying for another Doja Cat reaction whenever you guys are feeling it ☺️

YAAAAAY

FINALLY!

Thank you so much I love how fun this album is especially 2nd and last tracks

Severely underrated album. Havent watched the reaction yet but if Kevin doesn't like it I am going to tie each of my limbs to 4 separate horses and have them run in different directions.

Helll yeah! 💕
