Wow, this album gonna be in my absolute favorite list! Thank you for the video 💙

M
Moritz Kalisch · May 21, 2026

I think u guys would really enjoy Fred again.. , especially his Actual Life Albums. These are very melodical, not your typical "plain techno". He is an absolute genius and I think Kevin would like his work a lot

L
Laura · May 20, 2026

I literally just subscribed to the patreon for the first time just to see this full reaction and hearing the music in full. James Blake is just beyond, excited to see you finally cover him! The album "Friends that Break your Heart" was the reason I had him in my 0.0001 listened artist. Ofc also "Assume Form" would be right up your ally, it absolutely fucks. And a single that I still cannot get over is "Are You Even Real?" it's ethereal as hell, and ofc so much more which others have mentioned here as well ✨️

J
Jackson · April 6, 2026

I’m in the same boat as Kevin I watched this video right when it was needed

s
sunshinebby · March 26, 2026

So glad you two enjoyed the album!! His self titled debut will always have a special place in my heart. Really intense bass, glitchy vocals, impressionistic lyrics. Plus his amazing cover of ‘Limit to your Love.”

B
Benjamin · March 26, 2026

His album Assume Form will forever be an eye opening album for me, so I'm glad y'all covered James Blake. Maybe you guys can cover it some time.

N
Niall Lyden · March 19, 2026

The soundscape of this album is truly incredible. Perhaps not James Blake's best ever project, but I'd argue his standout in regard to pure production. So glad to see you boys finally check out his discography. Much love and peace Connor and Kevin ❤️

A
Adam Wright · March 19, 2026

D
David · March 18, 2026

please do more james blake albums, especially overgrown & playing robots into heaven

v
vespertinxx · March 18, 2026

he started as a dubstep producer, so most of his music is rooted in heavy bass and electronic sounds. i would dare to say that both his debut and his sophomore album, "overgrown", are now new classics in electronic music so maybe you could check them out.

n
nikolaj Hessellund Jensen · March 18, 2026

Friends that break your heart is a masterpiece, that you guys should check out!

M
Melissa C · March 21, 2026

GO A.T. · March 18, 2026

James Blake - I Never Learnt To Share, Man that song showed me just how powerful music alone is! How music can tell you a story full of pain, struggle, and relief with just music! Inspiring Song!

J
Jen · March 18, 2026

It’s more house music than EDM but you should definitely check out the artist Yaeji!!

S

n
noobasuar · March 17, 2026

I love that Kevin says he's not going to cry anymore near the end of the album when he was already crying at Trying Times!!! please don't stop crying, Kevin! the rawness of your emotions is literally one of the best things about the channel. as always going to throw out the recommendation of Isaiah Rashad.

A
Adarsh Thomas · March 17, 2026

So happy you guys reacted to this one! James is the most consistent artist ever, he does not have a miss in his discog.

G
Greg · March 17, 2026

his debut and earlier music is really good

T
Tamara · March 17, 2026

Loved this reaction :) I’ve been lucky enough to see JB live 6 times in London including 2 dj sets and his voice sounds just as good live if not better. Assume Form or The Colour In Anything next please!!! His production goes crazy on both, he’s so good at creating huge maximalist moments but then also vast moments of space, welcome to the JB club!!

J
Jen · March 17, 2026

Friends that Break Your Heart should absolutely be next!!!

H
Hmm idk · March 17, 2026

Btw, there is a very funny youtube video of jpegmafia showing james blake his album „all my heroes are cornballs“. The dynamic between them is hilarious. The video is called „james blake is disappointed“

D
Dan · March 17, 2026

LOVE the reaction guys! You should definitely check out his previous work! Friends that break your heart is his best album imo but they're all worth diving into

b
bernahahardo · March 17, 2026

hell yeah been waiting for this one <3 Assume Form would be a great bridge to the rest of his discography imo james blake + metro boomin is a combination that i'm sure you guys will love

J
Jacob Trigueros · March 17, 2026

S
Sam Wiske · March 17, 2026

More James Blake please!! Overgrown and The colour in anything are my favorites but you can't go wrong with any of them

C
Christopher Paz · March 17, 2026

I’m so happy to see this reaction to the title track. I put this album on when it came out and loved the intro and had heard the 2 singles but when it got to Trying Times. I was in literal tears and honestly shocked, driving alone on the highway. I can’t remember the last song that gave me that feeling on first listen.

S
Stove · March 17, 2026

Man, It's so interesting to hear that you were expecting more chill piano and pure falsetto vocals. My introduction was Wilhelm Scream and that song is a straight up masterpiece. When I think of him I think of some of the craziest and creative production choices, interesting and at times eerie cord progressions, and just incredible vocals (usually in his mix between full voice and head voice). Also has some of the best collaboration songs of all time. I Need a Forest Fire with Bon Iver, Hummingbird with Metro, Barefoot in the Park with Rosalia

J
Justice Parman · March 17, 2026

Great reaction, friends! Just an FYI I think you reacted to the music video version of I Had A Dream She Took My Hand

k
kennygk · March 17, 2026

Oh my god, no wonder. Thought I was going crazy. I was like damn I have not been listening to this song close enough apparently because it sounds completely different. 😂

L

B
Ben Peiker · March 17, 2026

Yesss James Blake!! If you guys want some EDM recs (I know you mentioned it) I suggest In Colour by Jamie xx.

j
joe stone · March 17, 2026

c
carsonrissotbb · March 17, 2026

Y'all should really do color in anything cause it's james at his peak as an electronic artist and starting to blossom into a real singer songwriter, very experimental in some parts too

M
Mr. D · March 17, 2026

This is my favorite album so far this year! It would be dope to hear yall react to more Spanish music 👀 CA7RIEL & Paco Amorosos “Papota” album won best alternative Spanish album at the Grammys last year and it is a fun short album with great live instrumentation. I think yall would like it especially with the playful lyrics they’re known for.

S

VibeWithDal · March 17, 2026

Literally every James blake album NEXT PLEASE I’ll be seeing him for the 5th time in June and I’m still so excited! He never disappoints (mind you he was sick as hell for the Assume Form tour) still gave us a great show with his cup of tea next to him

S
Spencer Link · March 17, 2026

SO HAPPY YALL ARE FINALLY GETTING TO JAMES BLAKE I think he’s so up y’all’s alley and I’m so excited for you guys to do more 💕 also with Kevin talking about doing more EDM once again I gotta plug Skrillex’s 2023 album Quest For Fire for a really diverse mix of dance music styles

d
dreambit777 · March 17, 2026

yess ive been waiting for a skrillex reaction at some point !!! the latest mixtape would be a really really fun reaction too i think

a
angela! · March 17, 2026

I was introduced to James Blake at a music festival a few years ago. The most beautiful out-of-body experience. All instrumentals are played live & his vocals are excellent as well. The bass was so so so heavy, I chase that feeling every concert I go to. I can’t wait for his upcoming tour

V
VibeWithDal · March 17, 2026

James’ bass levels will literally have the vibration in your throat and out your ears live 😆❤️‍🔥

D
Dylan V · March 17, 2026

Assume form is such a lovely and beautiful album and a must listen. It’s icing on the cake that it has features from Travis Scott, metro boomin, Rosalia and Andre 3K. Can’t go wrong with any of his other records but Assume Form definitely a personal favorite💕

M
MKit · March 17, 2026

Every album of his is fantastic - my recs are Playing Robots Into Heaven, which is so underrated, and Overgrown, a modern classic

A
Alex · March 17, 2026

Omg finally my prayers for you listening to James Blake have been answered 🥹 please listen to his whole discography, every single album is unique and amazing. You’re in for an amazing musical experience you’ve never had before trust meee

C
Carter Dixon · March 17, 2026

Unlike most James Blake recommendations, I’d actually say to start with Bad Cameo by James and Lil Yachty

t
talal alidrissi · March 16, 2026

I think friends that break your heart is just as good as this album, u should react to it, but his whole discog is insane

t
thomas crossley · March 16, 2026

this is truly peak, off topic you should listen to some conway the machine, la maquina is awesome

T
Tyler S · March 16, 2026

S
Siani · March 16, 2026

Oooh I loved James Blake on the Black Panther album

J
Jamie Rasmussen · March 16, 2026

Thank you guys so much for doing this, his music, production and writing are so out of this world, didn’t take long for him to become my favourite artist, there’s a real real lack of reactions to his music (other than jd and now yall) which sucks cause I quite enjoy reaction videos, so excited for you to check out more, and hope Blake’s label free push starts to really move other artists to do the same. Thanks for getting his music out there for others!! Great vid as always!
