Sounds like dad fell aslee on quik so
On both songs where you really liked the choruses they were actually hooks from old hip hop tracks reinterpreted by Cole.
Forrest Gump soundtrack lowkey fire tho…
Loved this one! J. Cole is indeed doing a final world tour for this album.
Only you could’ve done with future instead of Burna boy I reckon
Oh Kevin you haven’t cried yet, until you listen to Marvin Sapp- The Best In Me 🙌🏾 God is Good!
James (mentioned on the villest) is the same james from the change outro
I’ve had this on repeat. Such a great album.
The metaphor between a girl and hip hop on I love her again is insane
I Love Her Again, What If and Quik Stop back to back to back are some of the best songs I've heard from Cole. Really enjoyed the album and your reaction to it. Cheers!
Quik stop felt like colossus by Tyler. Running into a fan who really was moved and inspired by the artist, allowing them to vent and get a bit too excited but still giving time to talk to them and see them as a person.
Getting to do a first album listen with you guys is my favorite part of being a Patreon subscriber! My friends don't listen to J Cole so I appreciate the hype.
Get yourself new friends is my advice lol
Good ear Connor! You mentioned during the Villest chorus that it sounded like an early OutKast song. Cole actually interpolated “Elevators (me and you)” by OutKast. So you’ve definitely heard it before!
41:19 'hes not doing a drake' is hilarious after he used word for word drakes chorus on that song pahahahaha
Drake & cole both got it from dmx*
Please do a 2Pac album 🙏🙏🙏🙏
I Love Her Again is so fuckin good
This was so awesome guys 🙌 I think Only You is so much better on relisten when you can triangulate Cole, Burna, and the outro. It feels like a commentary on the expectations of men in a relationship and how that relates to fame and wealth. In Cole’s perspective, he’s with someone from before his come up and it keeps him grounded in the real world. From Burna’s perspective, he wishes he had no wealth so he could trust his partner is with him for the right reasons. Such a unique song 🔥
I was hyped to see drake posting your video. So so cool!
What did he post? I haven't seen it but I'm really curious
Here we go 🔥🔥
What did you guys think of I Love Her on relisten?
Cole gave us his classic. There’s so many songs on the whole project that I think could be his best ever
Appreciate you guys
man disc 2 is so good I can’t wait to see this reaction
I think we all had the same reaction to 39 intro
