Dad Reacts* to Hozier - Unreal Unearth

Would give anything for you guys to listen to his other albums 🙏

Coming back for a rewatching while I get some work done. Hoping we’ll get Wasteland baby album react soon! Such a great underrated work of art!

Patiently waiting for a Wasteland Baby reaction!!

I feel like I’m so behind on the videos, like I have overdue homework 😭

You guys should react to his first two albums, both are absolutely incredible

Glad you guys enjoyed Hozier. Since you liked Hozier, I highly recommend Fleet Foxes. Shore would be an excellent choice!

Please do the deluxe!

If yall love this you will LOVE his debut album!!!!!!

Guys!!!! So happy you finally covered this! Omg my heart is bursting!! 🩷

please do the other two records you will love them

Very excited for this! I was looking for Kevin’s solo reaction to this and couldn’t find it on the patreon? Might just be a problem on my end, but i’d love to be able to see it!

Subbed just for this

Joined patron again to watch this in full. So excited to see you do more Hozier! I’m a huge fan of your channel, I’ve discovered new music from you and been really enjoying watching you both over the years! Keep it up!🩷

Please do his first album! It's amazing. Or just do them all ❤️

Interesting fact is that Brandi brought Hozier with her to what were called Joni jams to get her back on stage, he was one of artists the she brought to her house and they just sang together. This was early in her rehab of getting back.

I joined the patreon just so i could see the reaction to this one album. it is so amazing and i am so glad y'all enjoyed it! i would love if y'all reacted to the deluxe edition!

this video caught me so off guard and caused me to subscribe here immediately djdhfj. i love this album and i love this reaction, Abstract is easily one of my favorite songs ever

Joined the patreon so I could watch this in full. The deluxe songs are a lot of fun. While Unreal Unearth is my favourite album production wise he's other two albums are excellent and really worth listening to. I got to see him live when he was touring for this album and can confirm my voice was gone by the end of it. Definitely worth watching him live for the incredible vocals and guitar playing.

Thank you for reacting to this! It’s one my favourites ! 😃👍

Francesca is deadass one of my top 5 songs of all time. The Drama and the sing-ability and the crashing sounscapes. doesn't get much better than this song.

I can't believe we finally have a Hozier reaction on this channel! thank you so much, he is really a one of a kind

Can tell you right now that you’ll love the 10 bonus tracks. Nobody’s Soldier, Empire Now and That You Are, are the biggest standouts in my personal opinion. Would also STRONGLY recommend seeing him live if given the chance. Have seen him twice now in Toronto, best concerts I’ve been to.

sing for me kevin'

I remember when he first teased Unknown / Nth in 2022, it was so beautiful.

One of the best lyricists I've ever heard, he is something special.

One thing about this album is that it’s not so much a concept album, even though some people call it that. The whole thing is heavily inspired by the Divine Comedy, but it’s not gospel (ha) or a strict retelling. That’s just who Hozier is, he is always referencing some sort of mythology, classic literature or other as a sort of scaffolding for the narrative. He uses them as allusions or metaphors for his own experiences and emotions. You guys were fairly spot of with your lyrical analyses of the songs. Going along with others here, I really hope you guys check out his other work. His first two albums are much more rock-indie rather than the ethereal, cinematic vibe of this album. His unreal B sides (and C and D sides lol) are also insanely good. For real, this guy’s voice is like pure cocaine

Also, I can confirm that Hozier is fantastic live. Such a heavenly voice. I saw him in Dublin in December 2023 with The Last Dinner Party as support, and he brought Abigail on stage for "Would That I"

I love your reactions but especially when you do Irish artists. It would be great if you wanted to check out the first two Hozier albums (the first album has my personal favourite song "From Eden") and also Kevin guessing Dermot Kennedy makes me wish you guys would check him out if you haven't please 🙏🇮🇪💚

Great video guys, highly recommend Wasteland, Baby! If you enjoyed this one

Thrilled to see you do this album, the deluxe is fine but I'd love to see y'all do Wasteland Baby, Hozier's second album

Begging you guys to do Historian by Lucy Dacus

You’re feeding us so well this new year 😭😩

Saw Hozier for the first time this summer at CMAC, it was life changing. If you guys ever have the chance I would totally recommend he puts on a fantastic show!!

he sang this in Tinley Park, Illinois, last July and I literally saw the gates of heaven

Since Jessie Ware is starting a new era you two would adore her last two albums, very disco and dancy. Some of the best pop music in years

Please check out more Beyonce, you guys have still so much to discover about her. I would love to see more reactions and thoughts on her music frim you guys! :)

If you enjoyed this one I recommend checking his first two albums

I'm not sure... Does Connor own a copy of "The Divine Comedy" by Dante Alghieri? That wasn't made very clear XD

I was pretty into his first 2 albums, especially the first one but for some reason I never checked this one out.

Kevin, you singing in the “style of Hozier” with all that verb on sounded so good!! Sing that shit!! You guys have to see Hozier live, I've been twice and it's such an incredible show

Okay my hot take on this album is while the Dantes Inferno of it was cool it does take away from the individual track meanings. It does make reference but the individual track interpretations are also valid and you don't have to lose that for the 'bigger picture'

Are you guys still gonna check out any more Daniel Caesar? Really recommend his second most recent album “NEVER ENOUGH”

Yes LAWD! This is the album that made me realize how insane this man's lyrical ability is. He's a poet that can sing his ass off

I’m so happy you finally got around to Hozier! Please react to the bonus songs of Unreal Unearth, they are amazing. Can’t wait to see you do more of his music

I USED TO PRAY FOR TIMES LIKE THESE

Gaeltacht - (Gail-tokt) - an area where majority of people speak Irish as a first language Gaeilgeoir - (Gail-gore) - a person who speaks Irish

The round in the mix that you guys were talking about is on purpose. Francesca da Rimini is a story in Dante’s inferno which is what this album is based off. She has a love affair with her husband’s brother and is murdered with the brother Paolo. They’re damned to spend eternity in a storm in Hell. The circling represents the storm spinning them and the song basically means that they’d rather be there, together, than apart. It’s beautiful.

Day eight of asking for Hi This Is Flume reaction video <3

I know you both have heard Stick Season, but what about Stick Season (Forever) with the bonus tracks and versions with the features

was lucky he stopped in winnipeg for this tour and it was life changing

The generational run continues

Wasteland baby got me through covid, would love to see it get some shine

the deluxe isn’t as good but do wasteland baby

I literally dropped everything when I saw this notification 🥲 one of my favorite albums of all time. so glad you guys loved it too. as many others are saying - please go back to his previous albums! they are wellll worth the listen.

You guys are on fire with these selections over the past few months 🔥 love it!

I love Hozier so much and he puts on an amazingggg show!! If you ever get the chance I would 100% recommend you guys to go. I hope in the future you guys cover his other albums,, I’d love to see those reactions! :D The extra songs on this album are so amazing so I would def love to see that as well!!

I absolutely love Hozier, thank you guys for picking his album, it's such a wonderful experience. Wasteland, Baby! will still be my favorite, but Hozier seriously can't make a bad song. Thanks guys!

I looove his music but more than anything Hozier is one of my favourite writers. I could read his lyrics as poetry! He's so intelligent and it comes across in basically every line of every song. Loved watching this and of course would love reactions to his other albums!!

So funny you thought he gives off aussie/kiwi vibes bc to me, he’s so quintessentially irish lol

another banger as expected! today marks day 4 of begging for the BPM by sudan archives to bless your ears

*studied this in college* Francesca is one of my favorite Hozier songs ever but I wanted to provide some context about the inspo if people were interested. Dante encounters Francesca in the second circle which deals with lust. She and her lover (Paolo) were sent there for giving in to lust/adultery because Francesca was married to his brother, who killed both of them upon discovering their affair. When she tells her story to Dante, it is noted that Paolo is sobbing in the background. Dante seems moved by Francesca's story and collapses in grief at the end of the canto. There are obviously many interpretations of the story but I love the inspiration Hozier takes from it where it is actually a story primarily about love, and the insistence that heaven is just not fit to house a love as great as that.

GOD IS HERE ON THIS DAY HELLOOOOOOO

RAN here. I see TTT I click, when I see Hozier I click! First concert was him soon after this album was released, SO GOOD🫶🏻

The best artist I have ever seen live! I am so happy that you guys loved the album and I cannot recommend enough that you try to see him in concert 🙌

Now back track and deep dive the first two albums

One of the best live performers I’ve seen in the last 10 years!! Thanks for doing this video!

Big day! You guys should check out the other albums since you aren’t super familiar with him
