the tables have turned... Jeff Buckley - Grace

Would love for you to show him some Led Zeppelin

Have you heard of the album Penguin Eggs from Nic Jones? That would be a great one to do a video on.

You guys should totally switch chairs for future "The tables have turned" episodes!

i dont usually comment on videos, but with this one i have to... I love this album and especially Lover you should have come over, it has sat with me in some really memorable moments and never fails to move me. So whenever you guys have a spare 7 minutes in your own time, you should check out Elmienes cover of the song as its the most wonderful tribute to Jeff Buckley and homage to this amazing song!!

I'm currently going through hell studying for college exams and these videos have been helping me a lot. Thank you both so much!

Had to come back for this and watch you guys react to this album my cousin (who passed away) loved this album so much Jeff Buckley in general I cry listening to his songs but I get why my cousin loved him

"No, yeah" is SO Australian - you stole it off us! 8p and..The fact that Kevin doesn't know about the 'mother squirting' needs some SERIOUs investigation....

Introduce him to the pogues maybe

The Squirtgate moment during the Grace analysis killed me. Even when Kevin is not meaning to be cheekily crude in his humour he pulls it off with aplomb 🤣👌🏻

Kavin please show connor Forget Her!!! It is a must

If you're into high-pitched, airy male vocals, there's a pretty cool band called Nothing But Thieves - they even have a cover of Lover You Should Come Over as their vocalist is heavily inspired by Jeff. I recommend checking their self-titled album or their Broken Machine album, which is usually the fan-favorite one. The latter has a loose concept related to life on tour and its struggles. Their song Lover, Please Stay may be the closest they have gone to sound like him and is an absolute tearjerker - such a beautiful song.

sooo did connor explain squirting to him

Wishbone by Conan Gray would be so cool!!!

interesting that grace was in the grange era and heavily helped Radiohead and many more bands

Fair Warning or For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge by Van Halen would be banger vids

There’s a new hbo doc on him . That’s why there’s a resurgence

I think you guys would love doing a more underrated Prince album, maybe Parade or the Gold Experience!!

Please listen to Voodoo from D'angelo! Receny passed away unfortunately

mom squiorts

LETS GO. My favorite album of all time.

Whitney Houston please..

Would be really cool if you guys did some Kate Bush, especially Hounds of Love! :)

would LOVE if you guys could listen to lateralus by tool! you both would so appreciate the drumming especially!! amazing video as per

Gotta get a Marvin Gaye album in there!

Thank you guys for being part of my year again. Love from México 🇲🇽💓

please do Black Messiah by D’Angelo,l

Pray for Paris -westside gunn???

Any album by Steely Dan? Aja?

Rodriguez - Cold Fact (look up the searching for sugarman doco - most insane story I’ve ever heard!)

So I’d highly recommend you guys check out the artist Puma Blue. He’s a newer indie artist but he’s come the closest I’ve ever heard someone get to Jeff Buckley’s vocal talent and vibe. His discography is interesting af. He goes from making lofi rock songs with jazzy vibes to dark rnb and a vibe like Radiohead doing triphop and dark ambient folk album. The album you should start with is the Holy Waters album that’s the triphop one it’s like hearing what it would be like if Jeff Buckley collaborated with post Kid A era Radiohead.

Yeah, no and no, Yeah is also a thing in the uk so we will at least understand you

No forget her had me feeling like I was left on a cliffhanger of a movie that is one of my favorite songs of all time please get back to it!!

If you want to hear everything Jeff is capable of, you have to listen to the Sin-é record. The things he is able to do with just guitar and voice is supernatural. There has never been and never will be anyone like him ever again.

the second to last note jeff holds at the end of hallelujah is one of my favorite breaths ever sung.

This came perfectly in time for yet another Jeff obsession. One of the most utterly perfect albums to have ever been made. Please do D’Angelo - Voodoo next!!

my favourite album ever. can't wait to watch this! nothing beats experiencing this for the first time. I hate knowing he never got to show the world more of his magic

Jeff is known for his live albums. Listen to Mystery White Boy and live at Sin-e. My personal favorite track of his found on the former “woke up in a strange place.”

We did it

should’ve listened to forget her 😪

you guys saying this is a wine album is perfect, i always thought that as well

fell to my knees in the walmart parking lot when I got the notif for this

The fact one of my favorite albums made it to the channel but in reverse blew my mind. Forever gonna miss you Jeff

I was so into this album as a young teen and haven't gone back to it in years, thanks for giving me a reason to revisit it

I thought I was in a dream when I saw the notification 🥹❤️

This reaction convinced me to get on the patreon, my favourite album/artist of all time <3

God damn I’ve been waiting for this for 3 years 😭 absolute blessing

Don’t know how classic it is, but I think I heard Kevin may be familiar with some Coldplay. Parachutes?

Pls finish the mac miller discography: Macadelic!!!

Yo his mom squirts I recommend listening to some of Jeff’s dad’s work, Tim Buckley. Especially “song to the siren” 🙂

I’m so so hyped! Best Christmas gift :)

Dove Ellis new album reaction?? 🤷‍♂️

Any Mazzy Star album 🙏

PLEASE REACT TO SOME D’ANGELO OR BLACK ON BOTH SIDES PLEASE I LOVE YALL

If Connor doesn’t know murmur or automatic for the people from R.E.M. I’d be stoked to listen to it with ya guys! One of my all time favorite bands and sometimes overlooked by new generations for their impact on indie and alternative rock 💕

should definitely check out the new jeff buckley documentary that came out. especially as someone who doesn’t know much about his story it’s a beautiful memorial to his life

Joni Mitchell - Blue, Brian Eno - Another Green World, David Bowie - Berlin Trilogy

SHOW HIM WINGS

I’m so stoked to wake up to this; glad you were able to listen! You both should watch the new documentary about Jeff, your dad will absolutely not be able to make it through with dry eyes.

I found Katie Melua - Just Like Heaven from one of your videos a little while ago. I cried listening to that song cause it’s that good. Amazing instrumentation and vocals.

It’s surprising to me that Connor listens to so much music and hadn’t heard this before. I mean it’s one of those albums that when someone says it’s the “greatest album of all time” people nod their heads and say “yea”.

We need Marvin Gaye-I Want You

Gotta get some Elliott Smith spinning at some point!

Connor you might be low in b12. I’d the the same problem.

You should do the Counting Crows album August and Everything After. Also, are you familiar with Son Volt's album Trace? That would be another great one to do.

i would love for you guys to listen to the d’angelo discography

SUCH A COOL PREMISE

You have no idea how happy I am now. love you Uncle Kev, and dear Connor.

Waking up in the UK and seeing this was a treat. Grace is on my wall watching me watching this while working at home (don’t tell my boss). Also please listen to Forget you, Jeff didn’t want it on the album as it hurt him too much as i believe it was based on a real experience he had. However I’m sure everyone finds it relatable to everyone in a way!

You should check out Dance, No One's Watching by Ezra collective (one of the songs is also with Olivia dean). It's great!!1

Watched the new Jeff Buckley documentary and bawled my eyes out. This album is very special. The energy just feels so palpable. Thank you for this reaction!

absolute peak album

More on the edm side of things: Hi This Is Flume, Aphex Twin-Selected Ambient Works 85-92 (best to start with), Skrillex (FUS, Quest for fire), Burial-Archangel, Jamie xx- In Colour, Salem-King Night or Fires In Heaven. Any of them would be amazing since you guys are kind of getting into edm with Ninajirachi, Porter etc. Otherwise you should definitely do Elliott Smith… wish you guys a merry little christmas..

Oooh Silent Alarm by Bloc Party or Definitely Maybe by Oasis would be excellent 👌

If you like covers made by Jeff Buckley you should check out his cover of If you see her, say hello by Bob Dylan. He truly could have made a whole album out of these, everything sounds so beautiful and emotional with his voice 🥹

Finnish people say the "yeah, no" "no, yeah" also! I thought it was just us 🥹😂 " Joo, ei" "ei, joo"

Yall should check out blackboybenjii, another music creator that recently found Jeff also! Flume is awesome. Skin is a little poppier, but HMNIF feels like a comprehensive way to meet his style.

Day 2 of asking for pray for Paris by westside gunn

Has you guys listened to is this is by the strokes? Just throwing it out there.

Asking for Strange Mercy once again, but loving this episode immediately, one of my top 20 albums of all times. Rest in Power, Jeff Buckley.

Dream brother was an excellent closer but you need to revisit and listen to forget her. Favorite song off the album.

LET’S GOOOO!! Amazing album, one of my favs!! Would love to see some Cocteau Twins, My Bloody Valentine, Slint, or some Bowie.

Would love you to show him August and Everything After by Counting Crows, or Astral Weeks

BEEN WAITING FOR THISSSS!!! so excited!!

This is great and unexpected - honestly I wouldn't mind seeing more classics like this on the channel :)

So interesting ye bring up the “yeah ,no “ such a common issue being Irish aswell and I know Kevin has spoken about having Irish friends such a common phrase here aswell and everyone knows exactly what you mean Also so so glad to see this album be done I’ve been waitinggg for this

<3!!!

we are witnessing history

MORE OF THIS CONTENT OF SON REACTS TO FATHERS MUSIC lol!!

oh my goodness what a wonderful christmas present 😱❤️

holy peak

The yeah, no/ no, yeah thing is also such a midwestern phrase! Friends outside of the Midwest here are always confused lol

my best mates dad always tells the story of meeting jeff when he was bartending at a venue he played at in melbourne, jeff asked him for a coffee before he performed and as he was handing it over he spilled it everywhere! he said jeff was super sweet about it, never complained even though a bit got on him i think. a soul the world misses, incredible album.

yall should listen to cocteau twins - heaven or las vegas

i AM SO EXCIITEEDD, what an awesome way to end my night omg 😭

No way Connor has never heard this??? What an incredible choice to finally switch roles on

i’ve actually never listened to the entire album until this year, when a coffee shop i frequented was playing mojo pin and so real. went back home, immediately put this album on, and got so angry i didn’t listen to it earlier… his only studio album and he did it so right. hope to see more tables have turned reactions!

LCD Soundsystem

Dijon Absolutely

didn't see this one coming but I am soooo excited!! edit to add in that some fun artists for another take on this would be B52s, the clash, wham, or daryl hall and john oates! love u guys

do flume - skin album!

NO WAY

i’m so happy right now

Kevin you gotta show him the queen is dead by the smiths if he hasn’t heard it already

Never thought we’d get this bc I always assumed Connor knew the album. Can’t wait to watch this tonight
