Dad Reacts to Ninajirachi - I Love My Computer
Comments (81)
Kevin is a mariners fan? Didn't know I could like him even more hahaha
i’ve been obsessed with ninajirachi for about a month now because of kevin mentioning her in the underscores U reaction (or was it the oklou reaction? i have bad memory sorry) and honestly im so thankful for that because it wouldve probably taken me longer to find her music (although i already engage in that circle of new gen electronic artists/djs that are on the come up but you probably already know how finding new favourite artists is a whole process) :D finally was able to resubscribe to the patreon to watch this reaction and it didnt disappoint, but thats to be expected of you guys at this point LOL. thank you for your reactions i hope you react to more of her albums on here especially girl EDM and second nature!!! i also hope you check out some more jane remover projects at some point and also mary in the junkyard’s upcoming album… the singles have been phenomenal so far :D
There's just a quality that comes through music made by people who come from NZ and AUS that sounds breezy and like a summer holiday, same with BENEE, Balu Brigada
Subbed to the pateron specifically to listen to this uncut version! Super stoked to surf through the videos, got this playing whilst on the train right now. Amazing to see more Australian artists on the come up
This is gnarly. I’m from the the central coast which is where Nina grew up. It is so weird to hear about you talking about Gosford because I live there, my partner lives in kincumber aswell
i’m about to start watching. Please tell me they let the transitions run.
okay, skipping the transition between CSIRAC and Delete on a reaction should be a federal offense 😂 joking but come onn
Connor's grin to the camera after that "Would you say she can *sing good*?" at 1:06:20 killed me
meeting the new year while watching this vid. happy new year guys
im super late to this but you guys should absolutely listen to quest for fire by skrillex
Ableton > FL ;) Also thanks for being one of the few channels to react to this amazing album!
i am loving the electronic journey, this is so much fun :)
She uses ableton now by the way. I think she started on FL studio when she was younger then moved to ableton. She also made the ableton 11 demo song, which is the default project that opens in ableton 11. Really cool. Glad you guys enjoyed this one I was really hoping for it but wasnt expecting it.
My prayers were answered
We need 2hollis 🙏
And The Hellp
This record is so fire!! I’m gonna keep requesting D’Angelo as a tribute stream, Voodoo pleaseeee ❤️❤️❤️
Love this record! The album cover is so sick
LCD SOUNDSYSTEM OLEASE OLEASE OPLEASE
I need This Is Happening expeditiously
I’m not usually an electronic enjoyer but you guys have really been putting me on to it, I can’t stop listening to iPod Touch!! If you guys are looking for some new alternative, HighSchool just dropped an album that has a really unique post punk sound while still feeling so nostalgic of early 2000s indie rock!
Hey Kev, I’m also a big music lover like you guys and have tried producing for a while, but the last couple years I’ve been just enjoying music and trying to discover new stuff. Do you have any tips for me on discovering new music? The first music I really remember listening to was at 12 years old with my illegally downloaded Kanye West - Dark fantasy, Drake - Pound Cake and old-school hiphop playlist on my skateboard in 2012. Over the years I’ve developed a deep love for hip hop, old-school hiphop, RnB, soul, jazz, rock, and sometimes House. Last years I’ve been discovering the music my parents used to listen to, think: Pink Floyd, Dire Straits, The Cure, 80s disco etc. I’ve always used Spotify discovery functions and playlists, but I feel like you always end up in the same algorithms of recommended music based on the things you’ve listened to. I’ve a;so collected a couple of LPs, but feel like I want to switch to CDs for some reason. Maybe because I grew up using CDs and using my mom’s Discman in the back of the car. So to come back to my question, do you have any tips on different ways to discover music? Besides watching Turning the Tables of course ;) Much love from Alkmaar, the Netherlands - Milan
We are never getting another Bad Bunny album reaction 😞 you'll be listening to some hits for the first time at the SB
No way you guys actually did it! Now that you've listened to KKB, Porter and now this I have nothing left to ask for in this world.
My fav album of the year !! Been listening to Ninajirachi since her single "Cut the Rope" back in 2020, and it's so cool to see her music breaking out
You guys gotta do Frost Children’s SISTER, it’s another album from this year that really exerts this energy as Kevin gets more into electronic music
It also has a track produced by Porter on it!
So pleasantly surprised to see a reaction for this album! If you enjoyed this record, I can't recommend Porter Robinson's first album Worlds enough. I just know you'll both adore it.
fr! Worlds is so different to Nurture in a lot of ways but the heart of it is so familiar, and I think Kevin would love the lyrical elements there too. It's also just massively important with the trajectory EDM took after that album. There's before Worlds, and after Worlds.
thank you guys so much for doing this one. one of my favorites this year fs
Us Mariners/Seattle sports fans know true pain
I feel like any modern electronic conversation is incomplete without Fred again! Would strongly recommend listening to Actual Life 3 - back to back beautiful, intimate, and inspiring dance songs that use vocal memos and samples from friends and collaborators. Really unique atmosphere in my opinion, it feels like you’re at a warm dance party with friends who are all buzzing off various substances and worshipping that liminal space
I really enjoy a lot of his music, he's incredibly talented. It can just feel very...idk corporate for lack of a better term? The newest Skrillex album is phenomenal imo
2 hollis Boy and Bladee Cold Visions please!!
Such a pleasant surprise to see you guys covering this one 💙 If you get the chance, you might enjoy checking out the music video for INFOHAZARD 🔥
'I love her voice!' sitting here waiting for them to get to 'sing good'
That was my fav - Kev
So glad you guys decided to react to this! Definitely my album of the year unless something else super good comes out in the next two months. I saw her in concert at her Toronto show, and you guys were so right about concerts being where her music pays off. Probably the most fun concert I've been to in my life.
Great reaction as usual guys. The streets are craving for a Oklou - choke enough reaction now.
I honestly did not expect y'all to listen to this album! It's easily one of my favorites this year alongside the new Jane Remover. Seeing Kevin fall in love with electronic music has been really fun. Also loved the stories around sneaking food into movie theatres lmao. I'm curious since Kero Kero Bonito keeps getting brought up in these electronic music reactions, I know you both reacted to Time 'N' Place years ago, but I remember Kevin wasn't really feeling it. Has his emotions towards the album changed since then or is it still not "his cup of tea"?
Hey Wallace. It’s really grown on me since our first reaction for sure. I did not think I would start really loving electronic / dance music as much as I have. Going to see The Dare with Connor at the outdoor Boiler Room set also gave me a chance to experience and see how electric music live and it really was an eye opener to see people interact and let themselves just get loose and not care about what they like looked like dancing. I’m looking forward to exploring more electronic music this year- much love - K
that's porter robindaughter
I went to Google this before realizing the joke...
So glad you guys enjoy this album, I've been listening to it nonstop this past month, definitely one of my favorites of the year. Looking forward to more reactions and thoroughly enjoying the swing towards electronic music recently!
Please do: Aphex Twins whole discography, Porter Robinsons, Skrillex‘s new albums, a sewerslvt tape, in colour by Jamie xx, Hi This Is Flume pls. Wish you guys a good start to your week. 🫨
You guys for real Need to do some more electronic music
HELL YEAH! Came across nina for the first time about a month ago and immediately fell in love with this album on first listen. Glad you guys chose to do this one! More electronic music please!
LETS GOOO
Can’t believe you decided to listen to the album I’ve been BUMPING hell yeah
I got so excited when I saw this pop up!
love the electronic reactions
YESSSS!!!!!
Seeing you guys react to this album especially after Nurture and Jamie xx has made my year. So hyped seeing Kevin start to fall in love with electronic music. One album I’d love to see you guys react to is Skrillex’s 2023 album Quest For Fire, it’s closer to EDM than what you guys have reacted to so far, but I think there’s a lot of musicality and sound design choices that you both might really appreciate. Thank you both though for giving this album its flowers 💕
you two should react to Lola Young's newest album!!
One of my favorite albums of the year !!!
YESSSSSSSSSS
SMILE! :D by Porter Robinson pls
OMG, love this album!
lily allen please
so happy to see ninajirachi get her flowers, and her getting on this channel, by virtue of not being requested but just bc ya'll thought it was cool is unbelievable.! between this and the porter record, as a longtime viewer, i'm so grateful that electronic music is getting coverage here. even just for the moment! please carry on covering whatever you guys want - i'm here for everything!!!!!!! for the longest time this type of music has not been taken seriously by the mainstream, (labelled as rocket league music, youtube intro/outro music/monstercat/NCS music, for good reason i suppose? perhaps too teenage and immature and bombastic and gauche?) but it resonated with kids at the end of the day for a reason and it's nice that people like ninajirachi are capturing the best parts of that sound for everyone to enjoy there's this imaginary line drawn between electronic music and non electronic music that i'm glad to see being blurred and broken down as the years goes on. it can't be helped! we all listen to all kinds of music these days with streaming and there's so much beauty to be found in the places you were told there wasn't now - i like that the producer kids are making more band/hip-hop/pop music (porter, underscores, joey valence and brae etc.) and that the band/hip-hop music people are infusing electronic music elements (paramore, bring me the horizon, danny brown, twenty one pilots) it's just a cute conversation that i'm glad to bear witness to last thing i'll add - i love that women, femme and girl voices now have a space on the table as legendary electronic records... years ago i think the ratio of men to literally any gender identity of producers was so skewed towards men but things are changing and this album is proof. this doesn't need to be said because her gender expression has barely anything to do with the music and yet.... this wouldnt have happened 10 years ago... look at the lineup of major edm festivals man... the internet is slowly changing things and i'm glad theres more space on the table for everyone
I have no clue what this album is, so I’m excited to check it out for the first time with you guys. That Game 7 was incredible!
We are missing baseball on this Sunday night - K
You guys are on a generational run right now
Listened to this one a while ago and thought it’d be a good reaction. You should check out choke enough by Oklou. Electronic but a bit more chill.
I’ve been so excited for this!!!
OMG!!! Thank you!!! I've been asking for this one :D
absolutely love this record so glad you guys reacted to it! when kevin was trying to think of who her voice reminded him it was driving me crazy because he’d made the connection earlier to kero kero bonito with the simplicity of the lyrics but i think that’s totally who he was thinking of with the very whimsical dainty australian accent singing! the way ive explained this album to people who haven’t heard it before as like a KKB album produced by skrillex which is a great concept for an album and turned out to be just as cool in execution 😼
Love that you guys keep mentioning Porter. Fun fact about iPod Touch, in the first verse she says “It sounds like loving you is easy but they boosted the bass” Loving you is easy is a lyric one of Porter’s early songs, ‘Easy’, and she also opened for him while he was touring in Australia earlier this year
Yessss let’s goo!! Praying for a Wednesday reaction still🙏
SLAYYYY!!! 💖🔥💖🔥💖🔥
So glad you did this album!!! I love it so much.
OH MY GOOD! LETS GOOO
Omg omg omg I can’t believe this I’m so excited
if let god sort em out wasn't so damn good this would be my album of the year for sure
I hate for this to be the first comment, but sorry I need to do my part in this. #day1 of pushing for that Porter Robinson - SMILE :D reaction. Ik you'll get to it at some point but I just wanna keep it in mind. Keep up the great work as always
Just saw this teased on twitter and finally got around to subscribing on here, looking forward to watching this and many other uncut reactions!! <3
I’m glad that you love your computer Connor but what is the album?
the fastest ive ever clicked on a video
So glad y’all are listening to this. I saw nina live when she was touring this album and it was on a whole different level compared to just listening to the album on my own. Incredible album and artist!
I LUVVVVVV THIS ALBUM
AUSTRALIA REPRESENT!!!!
