Dad Reacts to Eminem - The Marshall Mathers LP

Remember me is 1 of the only times I think sombody actually out raps em on a song...sticky fingers has the best verse on that song imo..

The Ken kaniff skit is so brutal

I would love to see some NF reactions!!

The best. I lost my dad to ALS 4 years ago and I absolutely dig the joy you guys get out of hearing music, together!

Kim is an artistic masterpiece in my opinion. I personally feel it has plenty of replay value, just probably not bumpin down the street with the windows down

Bizarre is a member of D12 so yeah he did just get signed to interscope 😂

Disagree, SSLP is Eminem at his most desperate and broken.

Kim is not something u listen to all the time but it’s a masterpiece

Sslp is one of the essential slim albums. Definitely gotta check it out

Slightly off topic of this album but i really do think kevin would love penith by lil dicky. It seems so up you alley with being a little dirty funny bars and just an overall good project.

Please do the RELAPSE but must do REFILL VERSION!!!!!

i'd definitely agree this is THE eminem album, and i wouldnt mind a relapse reaction next at all - but i would argue SSLP is necessary talking about controversy and struggles with fame along with beef with rappers/pop stars makes up the vast majority of his subject matter post-SSLP. most, if not all of sslp was written pre-fame and pre-controversy, so you just get good old-fashioned storytelling, which is where he shines. he was impoverished, sometimes homeless, hungry, and an undiscovered talent. totally different context to write from. he hadn't blown up because of controversy yet, he just happened to be controversial, which makes it much more relatable as a not-famous and not-rich person lol i wouldn't disagree the production is quite dated compared to mmlp, but i think the rapping and context alone make up for it. feels like you're at a party in detroit in the 90s, its cold and dark outside and em guides you through all this fkd up stuff happening in the city. still controversial, but a waaaay easier listen in 2025 than most of mmlp sslp-mmlp-eminem show are the trilogy, and relapse is, no pun intended, the encore lmao. his other albums range from dogshit to decent, but not essential. i won't argue with the recovery lovers, but it's just too corny at times for me to ever go back to

Love this reaction to MMLP. If you all do Relapse down the road, I would love to see Recovery done in succession. As I've grown over the years, Recovery has become my favorite Em album (and I used to hate it as a teenager.)

Big disagree on the Slim Shady LP, but it is what it is my man. Recovery came out when I was in 6th grade and I don’t think I played anything else for maybe a year. That album has held up so well it’s not even funny. One of my favorites/nostalgics OAT. That would make for an exceptional reaction and I think Kevin would really enjoy it! Thanks for the reaction happy Halloween guys 🎃

Any chance you guys check out the 6 new Magdalena bay songs? Would be sick to see

So fun ! Loved it guy ! Hope you guys will do Relapse at some point it is also my favorite. Bte : Dr Dre heard his EP SlimShady EP not infinite. People didn't feel it ( infinite ) because they thought souned like Jay z & Nas and made SSEP in 97 where he started to go into slim and really not give a F about ANYTHING Lol. Peace !!!!!

The second verse on Marshall Mathers and the Ken Kaniff skit are disses towards Insance Clown Posse, they were beefing at the time!! Great reaction guys hahaha

I wonder what Kevin said during the end of Criminal to warrant an edit 😂

I can’t recommend ‘we’re all alone in this together’ - Dave album reaction more. It’s such a dark album in elements but also has some great Afro beats and vibes music.

so fun to dip into eminem! you guys gotta react to the new florence and the machine album!!

Please, please do more Beyonce. I would LOVE to see you guys reactions and thoughts on Homecoming, Beyoncè Self Titled or NFL Beyonce 2024 Halftime Show! Much love :)

Relapse!!! Please make sure you do refill so he gets the full picture Or you can split into two videos

gotta get the joshua slone album reaction please

Always love your passion for music of all genres. Would love for you guys to do a reaction to Dermot Kennedy's albums, he's an Irish singer with an amazing voice.

Will you cover 2Pac at all? Me against the would would be amazing to watch Kevin react to

Sahbabii reaction 🙏

Dang I was bummed to hear your thoughts on drug ballad, I love that song lol. Would love Relapse, but gotta do Refill with it. Would also love to see his newer stuff! I love Kamakazi, MTBMB A and B side, and TDOSS (just got to you saying you had mixed feelings about TDOSS lol)

D12 would be a good listen so he can really get the picture better

Relapse!!!

yoo! I'd love for you guys to go back and do SSLP! Honestly relapse would be great too. Thanks for covering this!

Please do KNEECAP - Fine Art 🖼️ next.

100% agree about skipping SSLP and doing Relapse next. Would love to see you do all the Em albums though, so your Dad can see the progression of his music.

Please do more uzi

Would love to see you guys react to Kings Disease 2 & 3 if you're planning on doing Nas soon 🔥

Drug ballad is a 4/5 song. Kim is an all time classic. Maybe it’s not for everybody but only 2pac made more passionate rap music. Under the Influence is the weakest to me but all in all as a whole it’s a 10/10 classic.

Great video as always, guys. Keep smashing it! Always up for an Eminem reaction. Would love to see more of them in the future, in my opinion MMLP2 is more than a worth sequel and would be great if you'd check it out. Also, I guess at this point you can do Relapse on Halloween next year, it just wouldn't hit the same at different time of the year :)

Tears in my eyes after Kevin's reaction. To the J.Lo line 🤣🤣

Didn't you guys talk about doing relapse last year?

I immigrated from Ukraine to Chicago when I was young. When I was about 8-9 I was going to a public school and getting bullied for being small, not speaking the language well, my name, etc I didn't know how to handle it. I thought I should just keep quiet and minimize myself and hopefully I wouldn't get bullied (obviosuly this has never worked in the history of bullying) I was also poor and being raised by a single mother. I connected with Eminem and LOVED the single "the real slim shady". My mom for my Birthday at the time got me my first CD player, and this album. I cannot overstate how much listening to the Album changed my life at the time. I saw myself in him, and seeing him use his adversity as a strength opened up my eyes. The album literally gave me the strength to be more confident and stand up for myself. The next time the bully started pushing me around I punched him in his mouth and made it clear what would happen if he ever touched me again. Never had issues with him again, and for the most part haven't take shit from people in the 25 years since. That right there is the fucking power of Music. Album completely changed the trajectory of my life I feel. Thank you guys for doing the reaction, it was a hell of a fun watch :) As always keep up the fantastic fucking work guys. You're killing it.

Glad you're doing this one! Would love to see a Slim Shady LP reaction since we've got TES and now the MMLP.

We need like odd future albums after this one. Show Tyler and Earl early albums that followed this style.

Please react to Tems 😃💿❤️

Long time viewer, my wife and I love you guys! You guys have to do Olivia Deans new album it’s phenomenal! Not a Halloween album though lol

I'm always excited for a new Em video. PLEASE do a Relapse reaction!

I absolutely love Kim. One of my favorite Eminem songs. The creepy beat, incredible delivery and the storytelling really make it for me. I understand it’s not for everyone.

Jim legxacy album is essential

long time viewer, first time commenter. i was literally gonna message yall a couple days ago to do this album or relapse after i watched the eminem show reaction for like the 5th time. you guys are awesome. thank you for constant entertaining content

I Feel Like Kevin’s Opinion Would Of Been Different On Certain Tracks If Connor Didn’t Poison The Well By Sharing His Narrative 🫠🫠

Please show your dad the Rosalia single berghain

oh man, why did you have drop the possibility of visions being the halloween vid 💔

Finally 😭. ITS HERE 😁.

Still waiting for the 1975 self titled…

Can't wait to see you react to Ken Kaniff, best song on the album 🔥 🔥 perfect for a father-son reaction

I sorry but "KIM" is a perfect song to me. A complete horror film on some "Meet The Grahams" type shit. Also "KIM" flows directly into 97 Bonnie n Clyde - a prequel song. So dope.

if you watch NWA please do a reaction for the channel

SMILE by Porter Robinson pls

You guys need to listen to relapse! I think Kevin would love it. I can imagine he’d like “my mom” 😂

Huzzzuhhhhhh

Kim feels like the rap equivalent of a slasher film to me and I'll always love it personally even if it's something I would NEVER listen to outside of a full album listen

i wasn’t expecting this, im excited to watch! i have a lot of happy memories associated with this album from listening as a kid lol

Eminem’s point isn’t that the parents should have to work harder to raise their kids - it’s that his music IS the equivalent to a horror movie with a rape scene or something - if that can exist so can his music - and a parent generally speaking can keep a kid away from a rated x movie because it’s not popular and not on mtv or whatever but Eminem didn’t necessarily ask for all of that

This made my week! Thank you guys so much for finally listening to one of my favorite albums of all time. This seriously makes me so happy. Love ya’ll ❤️

What I wish I could tell dad is that what makes Eminem good isn’t really the controversy - it’s his ability to rhyme entire sentences - people have adopted that now - but people were blown away by his rhyming ability FIRST AND FOREMOST

Idk man, I try so hard not to make judgments about people online but you both seem so cool and I bet Mom is awesome too 😭 thanks for another video!

Love the costumes guys. This album is a masterpiece.

Great choice for halloween. Perfect spooky vibes

Before I even start watching, cause I’m excited, but I Gotta go long like Dirk Diggler and nerd out on this post: From age 10 to current day this album lives rent free in my head it’s amazing 😂 serious big part of my childhood, playing on it school buses and to swim meets/youth league basketball games. I’m almost 30 and I enjoy TMMLP for so many different reasons now. And It’s not just what Em writes on this record, but how he presents the material that still makes it hold up as like the defining showcase of what makes Eminem so relevant in modern culture and music. His vocal abilities and lyrics still makes you go wow in 2025, and at the same time he reached a point where musically he was starting to get even more tasteful and colorful with his ear for beats mixing and vocal performances and ad libs. It’s just the perfect culmination of a mega talented genius coming into his own musically, meeting the moment of being a literal sensation and arguably the biggest anti hero the music industry has ever seen. So yeah I’m pretty pumped up for the reaction 😂 Happy Halloween 🎃

Hearing and watching the music video for Stan for the first time when I was younger changed me

Great video as always. Would love to see a D12 album reaction.

Idk if it’s on the list or not but I’d love to see y’all’s reaction to Scaled and Icy from Twenty One Pilots!! Much love <3
