I’d love to see you guys react to the innerspeaker wave house performance! I’d bet you guys would dig it
Still waiting on that 10 year innerspeaker anniversiry live at the wavehouse reaction 😉 trust me its a bloody masterpiece! Love u guys 🤙❤️
Im travelin rn and dont have acces to intetnet most times is there no way to download this to my phone?
I‘m on iPhone but this should work on other devices too. I just tapped on the three dots on the top right corner in the screen when I have the video opened up in the app. Never tried it before but tested it and downloading worked fine. So I guess thanks to you for pointing it out :)
I love his previous work but to me enough time has passed since Slow Rush and Currents that any replication of them would feel dated. Not to say that those albums don’t sound timeless but just the vibe IYKWIM. Big fan of this new direction!
The compression of sound into a singularity that quickly transforms into an explosion of auditory color at 4:55 of End Of Summer is just pure coke to me, seeing him live soon, can’t wait to see the visual pairing during the show
No Reply has got to be one of my favorite Tame Impala songs ever. I can relate to the message so well it's like I wish I could have verbalized these feelings this way. And the instrumental is just so good
NEED an inner speaker video! Kinda shocked you guys haven’t don’t that one yet but I would love to hear your thoughts and analysis on it. Please consider it! Much love guys
I would recommend: sampha, tv girl, and jungle. I think yall would love them
Huge fan of Deadbeat. The die hard psych Tame Impala fans seem to think otherwise but it's the first album of his that's an instant shower imo. Looking forward to seeing it age
Die hard Tame Impala fans are funny. They love Kevin experimenting, as long as it exactly replicates the first 3 albums 😂
Me when someone tries a new style and it doesnt sound like the exact same thing as the previous 3 albums Note: Deadbeat is my favorite Tame Impala album. Currents is second. I haven't listened to the other ones yet
Been watching the channel for years, feel like this one will grow more over the years like you mentioned. Would love to see more reactions to this genre though like Fred again's album Ten. Getting into house beats that can really leave an impact especially when you allow yourself the space to focus on the beats like you did today. Lyrics are a bonus. (My experience) Cheers from kelowna!
Don’t understand the hate this album is getting. I think this will grow on people a lot.
Great reaction guys. You should for sure check out Tash Sultana. One of my favorite artists, you will absolutely love their music.
Ooo also Fred Again… if you want to get into some electronic music. Any of the Actual Life albums are really incredible. You will be surprised at how amazing they are
I had a similar experience with this album that Connor had with TSR. I really disliked this album the first run through. I forced myself to listen through a second time, and it has been on repeat since. Kevin is right, Tame might be more of a grower than a shower.
Here’s a few album recommendations: IV - BADBADNOTGOOD, anything from Doja Cat, Dua Lipa and Kali Uchis, Sob Rock by John Mayer and Drunk and It Is What It Is by Thundercat
The worst album by Tame Impala but still fabulous
still waiting on innerspeaker :'(
YES!!!!
Just joined your patreon today because I couldn't wait for the youtube reaction on this one! The more I listen to this album the more I fall in love with it. Also give See You On Monday another chance.... it made me cry on my first listen
You guys need to watch the new tiny desk he came out with
Also, if you're looking to explore other "electronic" albums I would reccommend "In Color" by Jamie XX
I'd love to hear Kevin's reaction to Innerspeaker next!
Please do Night Tapes ”portals//polarities
Please do innerspeak next!!!
Innerspeaker* auto correct grr!!
Shoutout to Emmanuel
Nice as always - I feel like your mixing for your mics and the songs is a little low? Just switched from hearing songs on Spotify to this video, and my AirPods can’t get any louder.. can barely hear you.. might just be me tho?
I %100 agree, I thought my earphones were the problem. I had to turn it all the way up. Regardless, awesome video guys. Love you.
This album felt a little left field for him but I love house music so a lot of it appealed to my tastes. I don’t wanna speak too soon but it might actually end up being my favorite album from him, at least sonically. Looking forward to getting into this reaction
Really recommend the new Jim Legxacy album if you haven’t tried it already, best release out the UK this year, great stuff
I will say alottttt of these sounds he's bringing in, Kevin is using a newer instrument/music board he invented and selling
Mariners W
When he asked what is “Ethereal Connection” similar to I thought of aphex twin. Very spacious ethereal electronic music.
I thought more underworld than Aphex Twin tbh
I haven’t looked at anything about this album but I’m wondering if the title “Deadbeat” has a double meaning. Obviously it means deadbeat father however you interpret that, but with all the Halloween references I wonder if it also means like “Zombie-Music”. As in dead, beats. I like to think so.
Not done with it yet but loving it so far. You should react to Oleka, either listen to the two singles or wait for the 2026 album. Produced and performed by Oleka, mixed and mastered by Quadeca. She was the female vocalist on Vanisher. Excited for her album.
Y'all need to do logic again! The Incredible True Story. PLEASE
Curious if you guys are going to do Ty Dolla’s TYCOON or PARTYOF2’s album AMERIKA’S NEXT TOP PARTY
The absolute gentlemen !!!
Love starting my Saturday like this!
Are you gonna do the new sudan archives album? Its so good🙏
Great reaction! Little bit of an outside shout, but could you react to Hugo by Loyle Carner? I haven't seen you cover much UK hip hop, and it's one of my favourite albums of the last 5 years. Would love to see you guys react to it!
long time tame impala fan here and deadbeat has been such an interesting album. it’s growing on me with every listen, but i’m still getting around to a lot of the more edm songs. cool to see kevin head in a new direction, while also putting some classic tame impala sounding bangers in there. great reaction as always ❤️
Good ep boys.....how have you not done car seat headrest...I recommend Making a door less open. Props to you Connor our musical tastes are crazy similar
getting this record AND the new last dinner party album on the same day… we’re eating good 😋 can’t wait to see you two react to that one
It’s so funny how different everyone reacts to music and that’s why I love watching these reactions so much. See you on Monday ended up being one of my favourite songs but at first I definitely wasn’t feeling it as well, but on repeat listens it’s grown on me so much. This album I feel will be especially divisive for tame impala fans but it’s definitely still got that amazing attention to detail that I’ve come to love from Kevin’s music. Great reaction guys, love from down under 🇦🇺
Connor please show your dad Innerspeaker 🙏
Definitely watch the tiny desk all acoustic👌🏻
Such a banger album
are there going to be any yung Lean albums someday? I’d really love to see your reactions to him
Would love to see a reaction to Warlord
Connor We already know about the burrito 🤣 we were definitely there for that 🤢
"i dont know a lot about house music" meanwhile RAM is right behind you haha
Ram isn’t even remotely close to being house
BANGER INCOMINGG
Wobert
Reacting to this before Innerspeaker is a crime😭 I hope you guys can get me into this album
