Shakespeare's play takes place in Verona HOWEVER the so-called castles of Romeo and Juliet are a popular sight near Vicenza and an alleged inspiration for the story, so he didn't make that part up.
period!!
Fun
Just read through this page today, seems absolutely perfect for the pod https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gregor_MacGregor
Damn they even got the fraudulent roundup in this one
“He looks like a roadie for Deer Tick” lmao
I would read a mason & Dixon style book written in hesse's insane faux old west dialect

Scammers are so beautiful. Whether Italian, irish, or Chinese, they spread joy wherever they go and give voice to various southern-hillbilly-pirates in their crowds and most importantly bring unity! Soapy did nothing wrong, long live 3 soap Monty!! 🧼 🧼 🇨🇳 🇮🇹
fun fact: there's still a sign outside soapy's former saloon in creede, a tiny town in the poorest county in colorado that is overrun with texans every summer. i can speak to the kentucky belle (grocery store) being a marvelous place to gather the local tea, less great for actual groceries
This feels like a wild one to do without Riley lol
Ll I'd had that same thought but I think it's actually really deft to do without riles because she probably knows that a huge amount of trouble in River City listeners came from no gods no mayors, and so that way they can do something that's relevant to both shows without risking it being review for the ngnm crowd
