Buttonwillow x Nukedrop - Partnership Announcement.

As I teased late last year, I’m happy to finally confirm that for 2026 and beyond, Nukedrop Tracks is officially working with Buttonwillow Raceway under an exclusive licence to produce the only official digital versions of their circuits for simulators.

A big thank you is due to Speed Ventures ( https://www.speedventures.com/ ), who are sponsoring the project by funding the drone scanning. This project does not happen without that support, so they deserve proper credit for making the data capture possible.

I also want to give a proper shout-out to Brett Madsen at BTM Simsport https://www.patreon.com/c/BTMSimSport/home , who helped connect all the parties involved and get this project off the ground in the first place.

What’s being built

We’re producing three layouts as part of this project:

• Buttonwillow Circuit (the new track)
• Buttonwillow Classic
• Buttonwillow Kart Track

All of these will be built from the upcoming scan data, with proper surface geometry and elevation detail. The target quality level is in line with Charleston Peak and the other recent high-end projects.

Data capture

Once the scan data is delivered and processed, development will begin. The current estimate puts the data landing around early February 2026.

What’s next

For now, it’s a case of waiting for the scan data. Once it arrives:

Buttonwillow is a well-known and well-used circuit, and it deserves to be done properly. The goal is to build this to a high standard and in a way that also makes sense for the future, not just for Assetto Corsa. Having the exclusive licence in place means we can really commit to that level of effort and detail, knowing that the time spent refining, improving, and future-proofing the project is time well spent.
