Denys. I and many of my colleagues in the security services (I’m retired) have been following your blogs since you started we find them a valuable resource for unbiased reporting. Let’s put that aside and let me ask you this - I see many names of towns in Ukraine begin with the prefix ‘Novo’ I presume that means New, if so, what happened to the Old? In UK, we have ‘Aber’ to indicate the town is at the mouth of a river, or ‘cester’ indicating that in Roman times it was a market town. So, can you give us, your audience, a break from war and killing and do a blog about the meaning of town and village names?
