One of the huge political problems for the US in the Korean War was that ordinary Americans didn't know where Korea was, or why American soldiers should be defending it. I'm afraid that Lithuania will have a similar problem. They need to go on a charm offensive in the US to teach Americans that Lithuania is part of the free, civilized world, and that it should not be left to the whims of the Kremlin.
Good luck with that. During the Korean War the US had a higher literacy rate so the bar was lower than it is today.
