Syrsky Situation

You absolutely wouldn't stay under a tree into a storm, Dennis. For sure.

Harsh post, even if needed. Distractions during a war for survival will always be difficult to justify. Good luck. Slava Ukraine.

Fedorov is an iPhone 16, Syrskyi is a telephone from the 1980s," says military analyst and former intelligence officer Ivan Stupak to BBC.

Denys, PLEASE don't risk your life out in the lightning storm. Lightning will hit the highest thing. I'm not sure if bush offers that much protection because if the bush gets hit you'll be hit too. 😳😟🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦

Zelenskyj need to stay due to the war, that is normal in wars! But he need to take advices! Serski need to be fired. Federov is the best for Ukraine, he did allots of smart things, hes young and what he has done till now is fantastic!

What happens inside your stomach after a big meal is a terrible thing to watch. Chaos! But the process keeps you alive. The end of the process produces something not interesting, but you live because of the benefit derived from the process. It is war. Awful, ugly, but necessary for a greater good extracted through the process. That is the Ukraine war. The end is coming, not fast as one wants, but faith gets you to the end.

The pressures on Zelenski must have been tremendous but he will hopefully see that bowing to them will bring an end to him and the Ukraine and will gather courage and return to the courageous course to victory

I'm Lithuanian and on our National TV news program it was said, that the defence minister Fiodorov gave an ultimatum to Zelensky, either to resign him, or Syrsky. Basically, he said - it's either him or me. If it's true, it's no surprise Zelensky took Fiodorov out, because at the end of the day, he is the President and technically a boss. When someone, who's supposed to be the part of your team starts giving you ultimatums, it's only a matter of time, before you get rid of him. So is the Syrsky really behind Fiodorov's resigantion, or did the Fiodorov quit himself, in reality?

Hi Denys, understand your concern but like Jake Bro, one must look carefully at both sides. My take is Z made the right decision so far. First, fire Fedorov to show the huge public support for him and the contempt for Syrskyi (who probably is eying the presidency). Z must first convince a lot of insiders, good and bad, the need to keep Fedorov and oust Syrskyi. Now it will be much easier for Z to move forward and reverse his decision.

Thank you Denys for this update. It's sad to hear that corruption is still going on. I just hope Ukrainians will do some reforms to get rid of it. Slava Ukraini!

Zelenskyy was literally a manufactured TV comedian candidate by skilled image-makers. He had no prior managerial or executive track record. You can see he is good at positive image in foreign countries but inept and possibly corrupt as a manager.

He’s good at PR and acting diplomatic and going to Front lines to hand out medals, but he’s not a good military tactician otherwise he would of implemented the reforms not Federov, arguably at this point in the war Federov is more effective and needed leader for the reforms. Hopefully the protesters grow enough to fix this huge mistake by Zelenskyy

The Russians are crying over loss of money and gas, not lives and what they’re doing in Ukraine. Yes, I feel sad for those that do care, but not the ones I’m seeing online.

Great to keep it up. Maybe the situation of Spain in 1975 will give you hope. The dictator died with the idea of keeping the regime basically in place in perpetuity. However, his successor the king Juan Carlos basically went with the idea of dismantling it for reasons that aren't clear to this day. Everyone involved in the transition to democracy was corrupt in one way or another. Former regime members, the opposition parties, the different regional parties. The king himself. Maybe the first prime minister wasn't, but he was removed early on, and was accused of being a sexual abuser in any case. Yet despite this clown car of bad actors, Spain got through it, and is what it is today. Why? The society wouldn't put up with the corruption when it was exposed and the desire to progress, to stop being backwards with respect to Europe, to root out the influence of the church. There was a social consensus to do that.

Step by step, a more perfect union (of we, the people) every day. Absolutes, likes kings or emperor indeed, the very notion of complete perfection, are the enemy of good, by definition. As a fellow European, I am happy that all of your fantastic bocadillos were liberated, and that I am free to this day to came share in their joy, among many different other things we share... Vivat Europa, and Slava Ukraini!

In Zelensky I see someone who at least is trying, although I reserve final judgment until we know with certainty whether Federov will remain in a leadership position. 🤞

M
Mr. Probot · July 18, 2026

I will reserve judgment until all this BS war is finally over. I think 'fog of war' may literally apply in this particular context, too...
