For some funny reason most humans want to believe in something. Need to believe in something. No need to know a lot, but a huge longing to believe in something. The churches fulfilled this need for millennias and had a extreme tight grip on the narrative. Nowadays people just find things on the internet they want to believe in. No matter how dumm. The less you know the more you can believe.
