i really truly believe you guys would immensely appreciate phoebes music. she is so incredibly thoughtful, descriptive and evokes insane emotion. melodically and lyrically and her soundscapes are out of this world. punisher has been my number one album forever, and lost weekend is also insanely good. BUT to truly appreciate the new stuff, you should start from the beginning.

Also, I would love if y'all did older records- except I'm sure you know them all. But as an old lady (54) with hearing aids I LOVE listening to y'all catch musical changes that I might hear or feel, but could never identify. I'm an eagles, Jackson Browne, Dylan girl, but I don't know if that stuff is musically interesting. I would guess something like Pet Sounds would give y'all more to talk about. Mostly, I'm here for the swiftie content.

Man, I have been waiting for 5SOS: Sounds Good Feels Good for such a long time. I really hope you will get to it at some point 😬 It has still a bit of that "Self-Titled" pop-punk style (especially in the earlier songs) but goes more into other genres of Rock as well the further you go into the album. But at the same time they have definitely grown as song-writers. While the first four songs are still very similar to "Self-Titled" you can see their evolution more and more the deeper you go into the album. What is important however: It is still produced by John Feldmann which means: AMAZING DRUMS. They also still change up singers a lot more than with later albums. Lastly, I STRONGLY recommend the Deluxe Version of this album because (contrary to most albums) it actually gives you additional songs in-between the regular songs and those deluxe-songs flesh out the album really well. Without them the album feels a bit incomplete. Good thing is: You basically can only find the Deluxe Version online so anybody would need to try really hard not to listen to the deluxe-version in the first place.

i would love to see some phoebe, but before lost weekend i would recommend checking out her second album, Punisher. thats the album that really skyrocketed her fame, and there are some melodic references to it in lost weekend. i may be biased, but Punisher really is her magnum opus
