Video length preference survey
Hey everyone, I’d love to know what length of video you enjoy most from the channel.
Single point videos would be like my recent ones on Mario's underground theme or the Piranha Plants on Parade video, these tend to be around 10 minutes and very cohesive
Multi point videos would be like my recent videos on Super Mario RPG or Animal Crossing, these are kind of my 'default' video with a 4 or 5 examples from different pieces to illustrate my point and tend to be around 15 minutes
Large-scale deep dives would be like my recent Dark Souls or Tears of the Kingdom videos, either looking at a whole soundtrack or franchise to figure out their defining characteristics or just going into a very deep (/longwinded) analysis of one piece. Tend to be around 20 minutes long
I'm sure I'll continue to put out each of these kinds of videos going forward no matter what, but I'm curious if you all have a preference for one type over the others!

I definitely prefer long ones that really get into the nerdiest bits of the music (and covers more tracks!)
I voted 15-25 minutes, but I also enjoy the 10-15 minute videos. I think a mix of both is best... as the poll bears out.
I’m always left wanting more with your videos lol. I really enjoy the multi-point explorations. My favourites are the longer deep dives (I regularly rewatch the multi-part series on Hollow Knight!) but admittedly only when it’s of a game/soundtrack that I’m already familiar with.
Selfishly, I love sharing your videos with my students so I much prefer the short, in-and-out <10 min videos because they're a lot more digestible for a young musician. But all your videos are rad

However long you make 'em is how long I'll watch. Whatever amount of time you need on a topic is the right length.
Three-hour documentaries, please.
I'm a big fan of the deep dives, but I'll gladly watch videos from any of these categories. Variety is always welcome.
You can make longer videos without a deep dive by slowing down your script delivery or taking smaller leaps in your music theory exposition. I also love your deep dives. You’ve got our attention, so breath.
I really enjoy when you get in-depth with a big topic. It sounds like The Algorithm maybe disincentivizes that sort of video...? That sucks, that shouldn't determine what kind of videos creators make.
Honestly I love the variety! I wouldn’t want to say a blanket no to any length because I think it depends on the topic. But on the whole, I’d prefer ~15 mins over less than 10.
