What do you guys like to hear about most?
There are a few videos in this next batch that have me struggling to pick a direction on how to tackle the music, so I thought I'd just drop a poll and find out what angle people are generally more interested in. What kind of video subject excites you the most:

But, like, maybe stanky chords too? Complex rhythm as well? Maybe just all of them? Haha
I feel like it’s much more common for you to examine melody than rhythm, so I voted for the complex rhythmic one.
These would all rock. First choice is stanky chords, but I'm also interested in complex rhythmic ideas and orchestration/textures!
While I would honestly be happy with any of these, I feel like it's been a while since you've done a video with chords that make my face scrunch up. To be fair, you could have a video on any topic and just point out the stanky cord and I would be happy 😁
Complex rhythmic ideas. Who are like the Zakir Hussain or Babatunde Olatunji of video game music? Maybe stuff with hemiolas or jazz drumming somehow making its way into video games like jazz harmonies?
I vote YES. Although I do love some nuts harmony.
a deep dive in letimotifs as you did with HK
On the subject of Stanky Chords, and with Air Riders coming up, I'd love to hear you analyze the chord progressions and wacky key modulations in the original Kirby Air Ride. Frozen Hillside and especially Beanstalk Park come to mind where the key signatures feel more like guidelines than actual rules.
Leitmotif gets covered so often by both you and others; it's a bit of a meme at this point, no? You should do melodies, using Pizza Tower as an example ;)
They all sound rad—especially anything with some stank. ;-) From a theory perspective, I get especially excited if a video makes me go: "Ooh—I've never tried that in a composition before! I gotta go try right meow!" Your videos generally always do that, which is fun. From a source material perspective, I'm still jonesing to see some representation from PC-Engine/TurboGrafx-16 games, Neo·Geo games, or Sega AM games (like Galaxy Force II). Not holding my breath, though. ;-)
I voted, but really I like it all!
Everything you do is appreciated 🤘🏻
