I know there aren't enough hours in the day to watch everything, but at least check out the posters for the series to see how different the concept from these mermaids is. One of the promo posters was is an illustration done by an artist that has done covers for Marvel 馃帹

Like Joe said, the concept is interesting... but I think the execution of the trailer wasn't good enough for me. You guys should know there is a tv show about (kinda evil) mermaids called "Siren" set in a little coastal town and the mermaids are not fairytale-like but feral, wild creatures that look nothing like the ones from the stories. The show is not great but not really bad either, it's worth checking it out at least.
Sirens 馃憖 馃棐 馃枊 there are just too many shows in the universe 馃寣 right now.
