⚡ REACTION OF THE MONTH – LANTERNS EPISODES 3 & 4
Sometimes a reaction isn't just about what happens on screen. It's about everything the episode makes people talk about afterwards.
That's exactly what happened with Lanterns Episodes 3 & 4.
Although we joined the series midway through its run, we couldn't ignore the conversation happening around these episodes—including the discussions happening within our own Patreon community.
Episode 3 in particular became a major talking point because of its exploration of John Stewart's upbringing, race, family, fear and the experiences that shaped him. The episode sparked very different reactions online, with some viewers praising its themes and character depth while others criticised what they saw as an overly political approach to the Green Lantern mythology.
And that's where we think the conversation gets interesting.
For us, this is what comics and pop culture are supposed to do—give people something to discuss. Superhero stories have always been capable of reflecting real-world experiences, social issues and different perspectives, while audiences can interpret those themes very differently based on their own backgrounds and experiences.
Then Episode 4 came along and shifted the conversation again, pushing the mystery forward with major revelations surrounding the Manhunter, Hal, John and Sinestro.
So whether you loved the direction, questioned some of the creative choices, or simply wanted to see where the story was heading, these two episodes gave the TCNFam plenty to debate.
And honestly?
That's why they earned Reaction of the Month. 🔥
