Galactic Starcruiser (Vlog Edition)
Hi all, I was a few days behind in recording the ramble (topic is the Tinkerbell series) due to a sinus infection. I've tested negative for covid (twice, to be sure) but I think my immune system is just getting over the fact that for the 2 years of quarantine I also wasn't exposed to the common cold.
In the meantime I've been going through my footage from the star wars hotel, and put together an annotated compilation for you guys. Director's commentary if you will. Hope you find it interesting!

1:29:30 I love that Croy is like "SK is a droid, they can't be your friend" but he still reads them the charges on their arrest warrant.
Viewing this vlog retroactively as a standalone experience (I'm working backwards thru the Patreon timeline) it's actually very fun to experience Jenny's initial excitement, from the "shuttle" to the arrival at the main starship lobby, being walked to the room, etc. I bet that part was really fun. It's been a while since I saw the final main channel vid so I do wonder if the usual tipping was expected for being led to the room, dinner service, etc. Anyhoo, I'm less than 15 minutes into the vlog so I guess it will start going south eventually.
Generally at disney the only positions allowed to take tips are valet, luggage, and dining; the others are supposed to refuse (or some departments have a "three refusals" rule where you can technically accept it if the guest insists. It's confusing) So no tips allowed for tours, lightsaber trainer, other interactions. We didn't use valet and Starcruiser was a little weird in that the person who handled the bags was invisible to us, they were already there waiting when we got there (and no assistance at checkout), so iirc the only people I tipped were the food servers. When you buy alcohol you get to tip on that tab. Meals, even though they're included, would bring you a receipt for $0 at the end so you could then write in a tip. I had never done a cruise so I was constantly paranoid if I was tipping a good amount since there was no dollar value on the food. I think I tipped extra high at the last dinner hoping to make up for any shortcomings
Who’s the friend of the show? Is it Chris Provost?
I had no interest in going on the Star Cruiser, and I was especially skeptical of it since their marketing was so sparse, but I gotta say I am regretful I didn't have the opportunity to buy that pretty notebook 😭
I love the gift shop cast member!
SAMEEE the geeking out about Gaia was so cute and just like a fan of a real musician lol
Ladies and gentlemen may I present you the 8th wonder of the galaxy, THE BACKSIDE OF POLES!
"Captain Keegan addressing the Reylos" LMAO STOPPPPP I love it
I fell asleep watching this and had a dream that you were trying to do the first order arc but messed it up so Croy ordered you to be executed (but still in a fun larp way, not for real). But they pulled you up on the balcony and nearly held your public execution while you were play yelling about being loyal to the first order, until Rey or whoever rescued you. Dream you seemed like they were having a blast so I’m sorry you didn’t get a chance to be fake killed by a lightsaber guillotine irl :/
Rey after saving me while I was trying to sell her out: "Thank you. You are a true hero of the resistance"
Thanks for sharing these! Getting to see the trip in detail and all your interactions with the characters is great, especially as someone who would've loved to have gone (but never would have been able to justify the price, even if it still existed). It's a shame it turned out the way it did, considering how passionate so many of the actors and staff seem to be about it. The Gaya fan running the gift shop and the Captain in particular are so great.
Microphone advice: you should be able to get a separate mic for your camera, better than the internal mic. Look for something like a Rode mini-shotgun mic (a shotgun mic is designed to reject room noise), and look up the shoe that mounts to your camera. (I’m an audio person for experience design, holler if you ever have any audio questions, hardware or audio plugins)
I appreciate your sister liking Gaya before she was cool
Ooooh oh no. no, no, no. There are such hardcore summer camp vibes throughout. How do you not feel *trapped* the whole time? And to be paying out the teeth for it all in the bargain??? good lord. I immediately understand why it closed lol. Took five seconds.
ok im rewatching this video again, i already thought it was weird that everyone had to stand and wait outside but on top of that could they not have have just built a little cruise port-esque waiting area for people?? its just one room with some benches how hard would that be???? such a bad omen for the attitudes we all knew they would have about this experience
This is my favorite Star Wars movie
Watching this is like Star Wars: The Evermore Edition. Like everything that is awful about this is the same problems Jenny analyzed in the evermore videos.
I can't wait for the full video. Can't wait to find out if the room had a mini fridge
I've never been to a theme park before or watch visuals of them and the atmosphere of all of it but spacifical the take off is blowing my mind
I’m an entire year late bc I avoided these til I went on haha but the girl in the white tshirt/green pants helping you out is my friend Via!! Her YouTube is @viaviavvia 🎉 Love starcruiser so much man I miss her already. Heard you had basically anything that could possibly go wrong, go wrong, I’m sorry fam
I'm a new patron and I've never heard of this hotel/experience before watching this video, and geeze I just need to say from a totally fresh perspective how incredible this looks. Like, I didn't even know there was a hotel you could stay in and pretend you're on a CRUISE SHIP in outer space in the star wars universe, like...that's just so incredible to me, and everything looks so beautiful? And the staff of the hotel are all actors in character? like...it just looks amazing. I would probably have cried multiple times on day one just looking out the fake windows into fake space, I'm such a sucker for this stuff. I wish I could go, I don't even want to do any gameplay, I just wanna stay in the hotel and imagine I'm on a cruise in space.
Idk if this was already shared, but the name of the other vlogger's channel is "via!" or @viaviavvia on youtube. You can see Jenny a few times in the vid too which is kinda funny
I was hoping someone found the other vlogger! I'm gonna check out that vid too :)
oh my god the gift shop staff guy was incredible
that one based kid during the first order speech. “ok”
The staff/actors knowing who skippy was and catering to his every need is so amazing I giggled every time
I know this is from a while ago but your comment on a space more akin to an escape room with highly immersive themeing reminds me of WizardQuest in the Wisconsin Dells. Its more of a “do in an afternoon” thing but the plot is you gotta free wizards by solving riddles whose hints are hidden all over this giant fantasy land (that is inside this huge building).
Omg this was fantastic to watch, but I got soooo motion sick watching it!! What is my problem?? 😂
What a missed opportunity to call that drink "the Marg of the huntress"
Obsessed with the bizarre music playing in the deserted atrium at midnight
“Do you work with fruit?” Lmao love it
I had to double-back: the music they were dancing to at 1:15:06 sounds so much like the one of the final songs in this years Childrens Music Contest in Denmark (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xlgBxu91sPA&ab_channel=DRUltra, singing about 'how there is no such things as girl colours and boy colours'). It is probably some generic sample on some music-sample-webpage, but it made me smile :)
jenny. this fit is absolutely god tier
I'm still watching, but I love the crew's reverence for Skippy.
1:25:55 - "The Croy actor was here but nothing happened." Who designed this shit, Bethesda? I guess you'll need to go back after the modding community's made some fixes.
Honestly, god bless Jenny for throwing herself into the First Order storyline. I know from experience that when you randomly assign alliances to guests (I hosted Harry Potter parties where the people were randomly assigned houses) participants will do anything they can to avoid being the villains of the story, and it can get very lonely being an evil character with no one to interact with.
I feel like Harry Potter is probably one of the WORST series to try to assign guests to ally with the villains because of how one-dimensional they are. Like, Harry Potter has a serious dearth of grey-morality characters or villains who have anything sympathetic about them. At least the leaders of the First Order have daddy issues and inferiority complexes!
Today the yt channel "Overlord DVD" posted an 'interview with a guest' of the StarCruiser Hotel and after watching the beginning of your vlog here a few times I'm really baffled by what that guy says about riding around a truck for over an hour and then being divided into red and blue groups by ticket which also designates you as First Order or Resistance right off. (I think maybe he's confused? or I dunno. That channel is a mite too negative for me but I'm enjoying learning about this new project and mentally reverse-engineering it.) Can you shed any light on what he's talking about? It sounds like a wildly different opening experience than what you had.
Following up, the part 2 of the video I mentioned before came out. My impression is that this guy is disinclined to enjoy this type of experience for ..well for a few reasons. I'll leave it at that.
I love this mix of unbridled enthusiasm and level headed criticism.
Thanks for the upload Jenny! :)
i love the evil guy's evil english accent
damn....that was a lot for a first day.
And that's the shorter day :-/
unrelated but I'm obsessed with your neon green coat, sooo cool
Is the gift shop guy the first confirmed gay guy in live action star wars? ❤️❤️❤️
I also have a very common name that I nonetheless need to spell out every time I sign in somewhere, so I got serious deja vu every time Jenny did the same thing in this video.
Great vid! I see the roleplay problem they're having. They want helping the Resistance to be a secret thing,to feel organic with the First Order guy investigating. Honestly,I think the solution is just to have a Resistance actor. They're a mechanic, but they carry a lightsaber. They confide in guests. Even just "Look at your communicator in a standard hour". EDIT: The Resistance agent should have a humble or ironic cover. Wait staff or bar service.
The captain was so lovely! The cast members were all fantastic. Food and drinks, especially at the lounge look amazing - what a nice looking place to chill.
Trying to imagine how MF Jenny persona would have experienced this.
i loved this, a day 2 video would be amazing!
I don’t know how much of a logistics nightmare this would be, but it’s a shame they can’t have different levels of gameplay for kids/families and adults. They just have so much tech and heaps of enthusiastic cast members, but they don’t seem to have reached their full potential with the whole package. Having said that, it still looks like a blast. I can see why they’ve made it a two day experience - you’d be exhausted after!
I'm obsessed with the green lady, idk her name but I want to hang out with her!
this felt like going on a trip with friend. Please do a day two!!
I’d love a day 2 vlog!
I have no interest in Star Wars and I only watched a short section of the video, but I am loving reading everyone’s comments. I’m really interested to see how popular (or not) this trip becomes with tourists.
This honestly seems like an absolute nightmare for anyone with even mild sensory issues
As one of those people, I watched this with the horrible feeling that I'd be spending most of the exorbitantly priced vacation in my room.
aw its gone :(
Maybe I'm just lame but I think I would be more tempted to go on this trip if it was just a normal Halcyon cruise around the galaxy. no storylines, minimal larping, just vacationing in a spaceship
i was thinking the same exact thing lol
day 2 day 2 day 2! i loved this youre a good vlogger. lol it's realistic
The crew members are amazing. This was so much fun to watch. I'd never visit this irl, so it's fun to get a taste like this. c:
just wanted to chime in and say I really enjoyed this! one for day 2 would be fantastic
I can't believe $6,000 and they don't even put Disney Plus on the TVs.
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
As a wise Jedi Master once said: "Gin is the path to the Dark Side. Gin leads to anger. Anger leads to hate. Hate leads to suffering." Get well soon!
very curious to see how this all pans out ... going on a two day cruise-less cruise where the interactivity rivals an un-tokened PacMan machine MIGHT be fun with a lot of very very enthusiastic fans but what happens when the mouse inevitably drops the price just low enough to attract a less immersed or less interested crowd that would include babies, over-it teens, grandmas or rowdy spring breakers ... they were very clever in siting a windowless hotel adjacent to a cloverleaf freeway exchange - I will give them that. As always I love your content ;-)
Like a year ago: "This whole thing seems super exploitative. I don't know guys." Now: "OOOOOOOOHOHHOHHOHHHHOHHHH"
It can be both!
The larping is fun. I'd be too embarrassed, but I can appreciate the shameless fun of it all.
they should explicitly make the interactive larp-y parts only for kids that would prevent crowding and give it a more fun atmosphere
This ruled! I would love to see one for day two.
Me, when the captain was speaking: And have a wonderful, wonderful, wonderful star war.
I can’t believe that was all one day, so much happened
I think this every time I rewatch this vlog! Find myself inserting unshown sleeping time, especially because after the very long check in time, everything started happening so fast but also seemed to take a long time??
this is what i think star wars land should be - lots of droids and aliens and stuff just walking around. its even pretty sparse in the hotel
Great fun, this vlog! The Starcruiser holds little appeal for me (were it even affordable) as it’s not the “Star Wars” vibe that I prefer. However, I love seeing your joy and look forward to your review and dissection of where this ambitious (and I suspect short lived) concept went wrong.
omg no way I also have a sinus infection!
Who is the cameo person that was friend of the channel? Can’t tell at all
Wait did that guy say it's called the "Shangela Starlines?" Haleloo indeed.
Wait, who’s the friend of the show???
Love the non binary droid
I noticed that too!
By the Maker! Those are some bored looking younglings on board :-(
When half your life is already screens it's probably a lot less entertaining to be amused by them even if that use is clever.
Okay, the dress belt at 37:44 looks like it still has 10 security tags on it XD they just spray painted them silver for plausible deniability
So your top languages in no particular order are: English French Spanish Dutch Na'vi Aurebesh?
Weirdly, the look of the hotel reminds me more of TNG-era Star Trek than anything Star Wars.
That's what I said too.
this is so wonderful. thanks for making us this bonus video! i hope that you do day two, and i look forward of course to the (umm savage i think?) full review <3
I have to say, it was pretty cool getting to vicariously experience this; living half a world away it's not as if I'll be seeing this in person any time soon. Lol at Jenny and her sister trying to expose Chewbacca, and Jenny's knowledge of that Star Wars language was impressive. Lightsaber training looked more like a strange exercise class!
I still have an hour left of the vlog but I really don't want to spoil myself on the future full review that Jenny will be making.
"Woooww, good" was a great reaction to the lobby. Loved this!
This is great, Jenny. Also, your joy at seeing Ouanni and the astromech droid is so real!
This was so delightful to watch!!! It brought me joy!
I'm about halfway through this footage, and I'm noticing a lot of stairs. Like, a LOT of stairs. It makes me worry that the star cruiser is not wheelchair/mobility accessible. I hope you'll be able to address that in the final video if not sooner.
It is accessible, we just took the stairs every time we had to go between floors. (and there is a LOT of going between floors) When the first cast member walked everyone to their rooms they took everybody on the stairs unless they needed the lift, which I think kind of successfully set the expectation that unless you need the elevator you shouldn't be monopolizing it. Though I did see some guests casually using it it seemed like that kept there from being a line at any given time. I haven't seen the accessible guest cabins but I heard they had different doors. (Maybe automatically sliding ones? unclear)
Fun part about going back to normal is that we’re all going to start getting the old diseases again. And we’ve all got immune systems that aren’t used to it.
New link is live!
The video is going to disappear for possibly an hour while I replace the upload with a different copy, do not be alarmed
Omg I was scared I had to come check😭
"I'm always saying 'cut out the rot.'" "That is something you're always saying––do you work with fruit?" "Yes. But I'm also referring to fugitives and things like that." "Of course. And what field is it that you work in?" "Oh, vlogging. It helps me catch a lot of spies." Love that banter haha
i loved getting to see all this footage if you have time and feel like up to it i think a day 2 would be really fun to see!
And three!
"Do you work a lot with fruit" got me
I was glad to be on the same ship as you! :) It was such a pleasure to meet you and your sister. A lot of your criticism was the same we had during the "voyage". My biggest gripes - superfans were obnoxious, at no point did we advance or assist in the overall story, and the app on the "planet" for locating things was terrible.
I may have skimmed past that part of the video, but what were your experiences with superfans? Were they hogging the attention of staff? On a related note about fan response, it struck me when folks were openly booing the Empire officer, that there was a limit to how immersive the experience could possibly be. It still seemed fun, but made the story moments feel campier than I had imagined.
Please feel free to do 'Day 2' or any other days if you can! These types of videos are so relaxing and enjoyable to watch again and again. Thank you for what you do!!!
I like how grey is supposed to read as futuristic but also every modern house has grey flooring/cabinets/countertops
I admit it: I was NOT expecting the food to look as good as it did (specifically in reference to the supper meal). That looks like a fun cruise/arcade/LARP vacation for sure.
Agreed! It probably didn't help that I've been subsisting on matzah the last couple days, but I was really drooling over some of the food options (and how consistently plated the servings looked).
"wooooahhhh" -Jenny
I started the video thinking, if this is nearly 2 hours of uncut footage it's probably best to just have one day... I ended the video wanting more
Very cool I hope you decide to put up day 2
I'm really surprised you didn't get included in the press tours for this. I saw some YouTubers that had like 10,000 subscribers get it. That said, I'm kind of happy you didn't as you are showing us the real experience we'd get if we went. Wonder if the marketing people are going to regret skipping you as your video on this will be seen by a lot more people than some of those included influencers.
I've been catching up on a lot of the vlogs I bookmarked before going (since I wasn't letting myself watch them because spoilers) and noticed that too, but it seems like a lot of the youtubers who have 10k subs were mainly invited for having like 40k followers on tiktok. So I think this event had a big emphasis on zoomer/tiktok marketing where they can dance around in the atrium and make it look like a party I don' t think disney will regret not inviting me lol. On the whole they seem to not want to engage with people who cover their products with subjectivity, they've always gone for fan coverage that's very straightforward vlogs of people looking delighted at things and then concluding with something like "omg guys you've GOT to check it out it was CRAZY." Which, I disagree with as an approach to press lists, but I'm not going to take personally. (I also think I'm not on their radar at all, marketing probably won't hear about my video)
Thanks for posting this, it was so fun to watch! If you have the time to post the other days I would love to watch those too!
Some say that the enemy of Galactic Starcruiser is the First Order. Others will say it's the Resistance. Both are incorrect. As Jenny would learn, it's actually the support beams blocking you from being able to see what's going on in the dining room.
I loved this video! I would looove to see day 2 in vlog style as well. it felt like we were there with you, experiencing the excitement and disappointment real time as opposed to the style that you normally do your videos. The normal videos feel more like a reflection on past experiences, like looking through a scrapbook or at a slideshow, which is also fun, but I like the vlog content a lot too :)
Thanks for doing this, since it's not likely something I'll get to experience any time soon. The banter with the First Order officer at the 1:00:00 mark is really fun.
Kinda surprised they don't use the metric system in a galaxy far far away
This is wonderful, thank you. I'd absolutely watch a day 2. Edit: also, bless the gift shop attendee talking about "inflation on Coruscant" lol. Say what you will about this whole thing, but the crew they have running it now seem wonderful
I can see the droid video chat being fun as a time killer while waiting for the rest of your party to get ready for the next activity, especially if you're like, a kid in that range of old enough to use tech and young enough to think you're really talking to an actual droid.
MOAR
This was delightful! Would love to see a day 2 video!
$50 toy lightsaber? I hope Randy Moore doesn’t hear about that. He might make a sequel.
This is delightful, thank you so much Jenny <3 . Also, I love when you talk to the staff and they roleplay with you. Very cute! EDIT- okay, that giftshop guy needs ALL the raises.
He was so good!!!!
Oh hey regarding camera audio, I don't have any personal experience but whenever I hear other content creators talking about it they mention using a separate lavaliere mic or field recorder (the directional ones with two tilted pickups like journalists have a lot) camera audio is kinda notorious for picking up room sound. you might be able to get a mic that attaches to the camera but IDK if that would be easier to carry than a separate audio source.
Enjoyed this very much, thank you for taking us along on your adventure. Would love a part 2
Okay, that's amazing, I want to see day two! (Also, god damn, those cast members are doing a great job but the whole "game aspect" seems poorly thought through.)
That Rodian Lady is soo cool & she looks & acts amazing!
I love this! I desperately want to know what the First Order guy's reaction was when you said that vlogging helps you catch a bunch of spies!
Yes! That was such an amazing snippet of conversation we saw
This is really great. Def up for more.
Loved this!! A shame about the quests/interactive stuff, but all the character interactions were so good. I doubt I'll ever go, so watching this vlog is next best thing (and also not thousands of dollars) :P Would really love to see day 2! And excited for the full vid as well.
This seems to embody why I am so torn about Disney Parks. Because I LOVE the amount of thought and creativity that comes into constructing immersive areas and vibes and all the weird, unique history behind these places. But when you're physically there it's kinda hard to get into it while you're in a huge crowd full of strollers and people at various ages and levels of being frazzled on a dummy hot Florida/California day.
I feel like this situation would be especially difficult to get immersed in with kids around since everything has to be kind of... "dumbed down" for them. Like, I think it would be really fun if it was similar to an escape room--so it could be more challenging and involve more purposeful exploration--, but in a long-form story. However, you probably would only want to do something like that with adults, and maybe even in a smaller group, which would probably not be worthwhile for Disney cost-wise.
Every second of that was authentic and amazing
blessed content
This was a lot of fun. Thank you. I showed it to a friend she kept saying you needed a stabilizer mount, I thought it was fine but since other comments mention the movement I thought I'd bring it up. I'm mostly here to ask about the room's Alexa droid screen thing. Did it have information about the cruise games or advice on how to play? It seems like maybe they expected you to talk with it a while early on? But yeah, I'm with you, I wouldn't want to be glued to my phone the whole time!
I really like this feeling like we're along with you for the ride :)
Would love a Day 2 video including your rainy Batuu misadventure. The long vlog format is perfect for this, and I appreciate that you leaned in to the experience and enjoyed it while you were there. The performances are surprisingly good and the food looks like a highlight.
Personally I wouldn't mind vlogs of the rest of the days too. It was hard to watch because the camera moves too much for me, but it was good to just listen to and look at sometimes when there was an event happening.
Also the long and tedious check-in process may or may not be Star Wars-y but is pretty accurate to my experiences boarding cruise ships, so... they have that?
Love this, here's some reactions: -Jenny's thorough interactions with the cast members demonstrate a bravery I've never known, and I've been in theatre most of my life, what's my excuse -Nobody tell Randy Moore the Star Wars plastic wands are FIFTY dollars -I also would very much want escape room rules to be in place and be annoyed if they weren't
Oh and I also caught my first cold in two years the second my province dropped masking requirements, funny how that happens.
I am super excited to see the finished full video. Hope you feel better soon!
I'm so excited to see the full video!
i love sk so much :') get well soon Jenny!!!
“SK, may I touch… your head?” <3
I think this would have felt really magical if I went as a kid, but even child me would have been exceptionally confused if I had been accepted as a bad guy and then was getting good guy info.
The place looks like a labyrinth. I hope there were evacuation maps around the place, or else things could go very wrong!
im actually gonna lose my mind at the tinkerbell series video like i cannot wait
Strew? Straw? I always strough things around? My brain can't grapple
It's strew/strewing! ☺️
I'd rate the Launch Pods as a better immersive introduction than the DisneyQuest elevators but not as good as the Seabase Alpha Hydrolaters.
I thought the music sounded more like Star Trek than Star Wars. Maybe that's just me?
the "welcome aboard my friends" guy at 20:15 is my old boss!!! Was not expecting him to be in your vlog lol I love that!
I would love a day 2 video! Also why am I literally hypnotized by Ouanni she’s so cool 😵💫
Thanks for posting this, definitely interested in seeing day 2 and of course your full review!
Ouanni’s the next gay icon. I suppose the exaggerated movements are because she’s mostly using body language to communicate since guests won’t understand her language. But there were moments she was giving “gay man playing sexy alien diva” vibes and I love that. The costume and facial movements looked great. Any idea how the voice tech worked?
The way Jenny was IMMEDIATELY infatuated with Ouannii lol
Thank you so much for uploading this!!! It's definitely confirming some things I feared, but it's pretty awesome seeing all these people so excited for star wars. It's disappointing to see how crowded everything is, even if it makes sense. The cast members are AMAZING and you csn feel how excited they are to be there. Like the one who provided a step stool, thats such a nice thing to do. I can't imagine how frustrating it would be to not have agency in your star wars story, regardless of how small it would need to be. Its interesting how little time is given to everyone to explore and do things. If its an immersive experience you would want people exploring and feeling as apart of the world as possible, so rushing people place to place feels more like a chore that an exotic space cruise. Understandable from the perspective of wanting people to feel like there itineraries are comprehensive for this vacation they spent a lot of money on, but it again removes peoples agency and how they can even spend this immersive vacation. Im excited to hear even more about it and can't wait for the next video!!
Now that I know that you know what "Smart House" is... you've gotta do a review on it. Or like a sidealong viewing. Pleaseeee. That or Xenon if you watched that as a kid, haha
Seems kind of small. I wonder if there's even enough to do over the 3 days.
This video is so fun. I kinda want to go to starcruiser but I kinda don’t, especially if it would be really crowded. It sounds like something that’s only worth it if you are a small child and/or go when there aren’t many people.
"We're watching Ghost Adventures.": classic Jenny.
having to watch this in small chunks because for some reason the vlog style filming gives me motion sickness but very excited to slowly consume this content
OMG, me too! I was feeling weird after 20 minutes and was really worried until I figured out it was motion sickness!
Would love a day 2 video.
please do a part 2 if you can !!! i loved this so much ::))
Honestly would love a day 2 vlog purely so I can live vicariously through you enjoying urself (no way I can afford this rip)
In great suspsense on the cargo hold payoff...unless I missed it...which would be in line with the experience it sounds like.
i loved this video :) !! If you make a day 2 video I would love it a lot too!!
I feel like they accidentally gave you "on a cruise ship where a major news event happens but you weren't on deck when it happened and the crowd was too big to figure out what what going on " authenticity
I'm early in the video and am surprised at how chaotic & noisy the entrance area seems – almost like guests were diverted there at the last minute. Were they processing guests outside due to COVID-19, or was it your sense that this is normal operation?
The impression I'm getting is that a third day should really be included in the trip? Like they've done a pretty nice job with the interiors and there's a lot of fun looking stuff to explore, but if you want to check that stuff out you seem to be punished by not getting storyline stuff. Maybe a third day would give everyone more of a chance to breathe so you're not rushing around so much?
Great video makes me wish I could for a meal and to look around, but yeah I dunno about the games and stuff.
Oh my goodness please do one of these for day 2, I don't mind how long it is! I also love the random Darth Talon cosplayer in the crowd. In your video could you talk about the rules about costumes that guests have to follow? It seems like most people were not dressed up like aliens, so I was wondering if that was against the rules, or if people just didn't want to.
in your final video could you talk about accessability? i'm shocked by the sheer amount of stairs i saw in your footage
It was pretty accessible in that the floors were all very small with a central elevator; we just used the stairs every time because you're only navigating 3 floors total. In my experience other guests who were able were also using the stairs so I didn't see lines for the elevators. HOWEVER, for a lot of those "spontaneous" story moments it would be a large crowd of guests tailing a character across floors, and I could imagine being hindered by requiring an elevator because things unfolded so fast. I'm sure if the character was directly interacting with a guest using a mobility aid they'd wait, but if that guest was at the back I could see it being really easy to fall behind, and/or have an even worse time seeing what's going on. But I've joined a few groups so I'm hoping to hear firsthand accounts from some guests
I love watching Jenny yes-and with the cast members
i start working there next week! i was supposed to while u were there but didn’t get trained as planned :( crazy times
Honestly this made me feel a bit claustrophobic. Thanks for the video Jenny!
I’m so excited to see the full review on YouTube. Kind of a bummer that it was so crowded but I love that you were so enthusiastic about everything
the banter with that giftshop cast member is such a delight
This vid honestly has such wholesome vibes 😭 the excitement is contagious
This was such a treat, please do it for day two!
Also, this is so helpful because I was thinking of trying to split the cost with my family to send my dad to this for his birthday. But seeing what it’s really like with a packed audience is making me rethink it. I definitely know this wouldn’t be something I’d enjoy - I get anxious in crowds, especially loud ones. Just watching this video got a bit too much for me in parts lol.
Lol I love this, thank you for putting it together for us! I started laughing out loud when you were chasing that green lady around, pursuing her with compliments and ignoring her attempts to turn away. In any other context it would have been so obnoxious but here it was charming to see you so determined to interact with her. I’m glad you got to have a real chat with her later!
was that daxflame?!
@35:55, there is absolutely a kid who looks SO similar to Dax, I thought the same thing.
I love your excitement interacting with the space and the staff, very wholesome. I’m a server at mid tier fancy restaurant and I liiive for people who come in with that kind of enthusiasm, it’s super fun to interact with
I can't wait for the full review on the main channel!
This was really lovely! Thank you for sharing. The food looked amazing, and I'm excited for your review!
"Is it okay if I step on this?" That's not very Safe-D-Begins-With-Me of you, Jenny
Me and my roommate commend how hard you were trying to rat out Chewbacca.
When the captain says "My advice to all of you: Never wake a sleeping loth-cat," all I could think was, "You've never been to a mynock roast on Aridinia, it's nuts!" It's a joke because they mentioned a Star Wars thing!
It's Ardennia ;) but yeah, great notice ^^
ah, this cooler jenny, she's pretty cool alright
As much as I dislike ocean cruises I think this concept could work better on an actual big ass boat
I love that hotel room! I don't like the handrails on the stairs. They just look like regular handrails.
That launch pod experience!
May the spires keep you!
I love the tour guide's generous use of the word "scoundrel" lol. In general, the crew members seem really great though, I love how in character and enthusiastic the ones you interacted with seem!
I'm so excited to watch this!!! Thank you Jenny!
A 100 minute bonus Starcruiser vlog! *Does a happy dance*. Thanks Jenny, you really do spoil us sometimes!
Do you use gimbals with your vlog cameras?
Your genuine reactions more then make for the crazy camara :) Thanks!
The lore about the tiny captain is extremely funny to me. "This ship was built by a tiny man. Just a little fella." "May I see him?" "Uhhh... No, he died last week."
I was dying like WHY did they have the lore like "his species lives an impressively long time and by coincidence he died fairly recently," why not at least just say he died a century ago. The only reason I could think is if there was some narrative twist like, he went underground helping the resistance and wasn't actually dead. But obviously that didn't turn out to be the case
As ambivalent as I am about Star Wars, back when I was a CM I would have been *begging* for a transfer to galactic starcruiser. I always really loved the improv aspects of the job, making things up on the spot that fit to the lore of your location. I'm glad I left disney but I can't help but be a little jealous watching these cast members. I hope they're having fun.
Oh this is amazing! Hope you feel better soon.
Hope you feel better soon!
As a European it boggles my mind that they have to tell you there's a no weapons policy on the way into the Galactic Starcruiser 😳 Thanks for the vid and hope you feel better!
Agreed but also fwiw the rule applied to fake "blaster" props as well (unlike some conventions there wasn't even an option for a "weapons check," you just couldn't bring anything that resembled a gun under any conditions) so maybe there was that extra star wars reason they needed to mention it Weirdly I travel with a tiny pair of TSA approved folding scissors in my suitcase, just for opening packages/snipping threads/etc and thought nothing of it, but they did in fact go through my suitcase and throw them out before sending our stuff to the room lol. I didn't even notice until the end of the trip when I was trying to free my lightsaber from the packaging
Heck yes! This is the closest I'll ever come to the Galactic Starcruiser so thank you.
Oh my God yay!!! Hope you feel better soon, thank you for this in the meantime 💜
I have been having an unusually horrible day and just wanted to say how much I appreciate you putting this out in spite of your cold, ty, it really took my mind off everything.
Jenny!! This is a delightful surprise! My sunday scaries were juuuuust kicking in, and suddenly there you were, with this notification. I'm so excited! I also hope you start feeling better soon! Rest well <3
This is a delightful surprise. Also get well soon Jenny!
“Hope you find this interesting” as though I didn’t SCREAM when I got the notification. So excited. Hope you feel better soon!
Oh man, I've also had a sinus thing about a month ago, had to use the tissues all the time and my forehead hurt. And doing assignments at this stage was hard. Anyway take it easy, hope you'll feel better soon.
I had a cold recently too—weird to remember that regular colds exist still, lol! Hope you feel better, and thanks for giving us this to tide us over!
Awesome! Dang that voiceover intro sounds so clean
I have been praying that you would do the tinkerbell series. I hope you mention the RPG game, which has been revived by some enthusiasts on wethepixies.net!
interested? us? Interested!? Us? INTERESTED?!?! US?!?!?! Maybe a bit
I hope you feel better soon!! Thanks for posting 💕💕
An hour and 40 minutes of a pov of the starcruiser is kind of dream content
