Toy Story 4 (preview)
Heeere's a preview of my Toy Story 4 video, the final version of which I imagine will come in around 20 minutes! This is ... what I consider a quick video... ehhhh...
How do we feel conceptually about a Lion King video? I've been considering another "quick" one for that but idk how urgently people want the star wars land one to come out and there's still a lot to be done there.
(Also I imagine my background will be changing wildly for a few videos as I figure out what I want to do with my new space and which furniture looks good along the wall around my bed. I'm kind of visually and functionally anti-bedside-tables but don't like it barren so I've been rotating some plants/baskets/other stuff around the sides)

A YouTuber with mischief in her heart might compare and contrast The Lion King (2019, all-CGI) with Roar! (1981, no-CGI). The makers of Roar! were running a DIY shelter for big cats, and they tried to film a movie starring themselves and the animals (it's a save-the-kitty-orphanage plot, as I recall), and the uncertainty is absolutely riveting. The filmmakers learned a lot over time, and now they run The Shambala Preserve through a 501(c)(3) non-profit, a little ways north of Los Angeles. id love a lion king video if you have any insight beyond the flat animation...thats mostly what ive been seeing but the lil plot changes are fucking awful
im down for a lion king video only because i actually saw it. and i never see any of the stuff that you talk about.
whatever will require the least amount of stress to you and that you'll enjoy creatively!! can't wait for the star wars land but love any content that comes out, whenever it comes out
I feel pretty neutral about the idea of a Lion King vid, unless you feel you’ve got a smoking hot take on it.
I think I'd rather have the Star Wars land video sooner than a Lion King video. Lion King dosnt really interest me and i think all the general hot takes have been took.

Unless the Lion King one would a different take than, "why can't realistic CG also animate the faces abstractly?" I say, pass. Lion King is a technical achievement that really needs no other achievements to be worthy of being made. (we can still watch the original with it's expressiveness.). but yeah, saying the emotion is pretty bad writing.

I'm pro-Jenny so I say whatever you think is best. I'm looking forward to Galaxy's Edge, but you shouldn't feel any rush or pressure to do it faster or a need to make other content while we wait.
I would love to see a Lion King video if you feel like you really want to make one! A Fantastic Beasts style video would be incredible. Expose those sad lions!
I'm looking forward to the Galaxy's Edge video so much that I'd rather you take as much time as you need on it so that its the best it can be. That said, a Lion King video would be cool in the interim; it's really bizarre that it even exists.
Doubt I'll be watching the new Lion King movie but I wouldn't mind a video on it to see if I'm missing anything good like Dumbo
