Is this ramble getting posted this weekend?

J
Jenny Nicholson · September 9, 2018

Tonight! In whatever time it takes to finish exporting and uploading... 43% rn

B
Blue Corn · August 26, 2018

Cool. Trying to remember the last time Jenny covered a horror movie. Was it It?

W
Will Seamon · August 28, 2018

Escape From Tomorrow?

T
Tom Bowling · August 26, 2018

Besides, we all know that if the sequel trilogy came out in 1999, they'd have Jennifer Aniston playing Rey and Drew Carey as Kylo Ren.

S
Steve Ray · August 26, 2018

A good guess, but not hardly! Obviously, for Kylo Ren, the producers would have gone to the ultimate go-to late-90s-to-mid-2000s emotionally unstable box-office megadraw.... Adam Sandler

J
JK · August 25, 2018

Who would have thought Immanuel Kant would be more popular than Star Wars? I'm not looking forward to the fan reaction to the Rian Johnson directed biopic.

T
Tom Bowling · August 25, 2018

I'm just keeping my head down and hoping the dark times pass quickly.

T
T. Fazekas · August 23, 2018

You’d think more women would enjoy a satire about the futility of toxic masculinity. I voted plush stories. I want to hear how the other plush are adapting under the Mega-Porg regime.

S
Steve Ray · August 23, 2018

Techinically, plushes are also an Animal Topic, and the Coalition will surely support those in a runoff, but per the original covenant, we endorse Disney Sidekicks in Round One.

T
Tom Bowling · August 22, 2018

I hope one of her favorites is Predator. I've yet to find a lady who likes that movie.

J
Jane McIntyre · August 22, 2018

Man I've been voting for that star wars topic every time. And it never happens. We need a coalition on that one

S
Steve Ray · August 22, 2018

Remember that old nursery rhyme? "A topic / Anthropic / 's a hot pick / to drop kick!!! "Exercise your adorable franchise and VOTE for Animal Topics!"

D
David Arceneaux · August 22, 2018

Jenny's read the Critique of Pure Reason? whoa

S
Steve Ray · August 22, 2018

Perhaps Jenny *hasn't* already read said Critique, and she'll have to read it on the bus home the night the Ramble is due.

T
T. Fazekas · August 22, 2018

How much do I need to up my Patreon to get a “hint” as to how the voting is going before I cast? It’s too much pressure! I know what I want but I don’t want to waste my vote if something else I like is close. I guess this is why a third party system wouldn’t work :)

E
Eric MacMillan · August 22, 2018

Hey sorry if I'm missing what your saying here but you know you can change your vote any time right? Just click the option you want, even if you have already voted.

T
Tom Bowling · August 21, 2018

Is anyone going to get into some Jenny fan fiction on this ballot? Because if you do, I've got a good one where she takes down a Russian spy ring and single-handedly vanquishes the Vampire Queen of Murmansk. I call it, "Jenny Visits the Pet Shop." Oh, she also buys a goldfish in the story.

M
Montana · August 21, 2018

there’s so many good ones this month 😮 I’m about dying to see some more of your plushes but a Q&A would be so fun.

S
Steve Ray · August 22, 2018

Plushes can be the Winning Animal Topic for November.

S
Stephen Notley · August 21, 2018

Damn, these are good choices.

T
Torie Berke · August 21, 2018

Im really here for some willy wonka hot takes.

B
Bethany Gemmell · August 21, 2018

i studied kant in philosophy so if it wins i can send you my notes if you're stuck (however i would've personally suggested descartes' meditations)

S
Steve Ray · August 23, 2018

Since we've already had the horse Ramble, your suggestion sounds A-OK.

B
Brianna Ogas · August 21, 2018

Horror movie seems like a fun idea for October.. hmm lots of nice picks this month. Good job, guys!

B
Bill Holt · August 21, 2018

You know, at some point we're going to have to start feeling pity for the Star Wars topic.

T
Tom Bowling · August 21, 2018

I was kind of thinking that too.

D
Dundough Breadbox · August 21, 2018

A no-lose voting fest!

T
Tony LMFAO · August 21, 2018

I want to hear about Willy Wonka because I really want Jenny's take on Uncle Joe. Why didn't he ever get up an get a job?

T
Tom Bowling · August 21, 2018

I always thought all four of the grandparents were on the run from the law and just hiding out.

D
Daniel Anderson · August 21, 2018

Voted for Kant because I'm a fan of his ethics system and it's such a unique topic, but I hope it's on there because Jenny expressed an interest in the topic at some point. If that was just a troll nomination from someone trying to throw Jenny a weird curveball, that would be pretty shitty of that patron.

J
Joshua Crowther · August 21, 2018

I just wanted to see it up there. I didn’t think anyone would vote for it. I didn’t.

D
Daniel Folk · August 21, 2018

All of the above

J
JK · August 21, 2018

Will the Kant video include the wearing of a cork hat?

T
Tom Bowling · August 21, 2018

As someone who takes a lot of mockery for calling The Creature From the Black Lagoon his favorite horror movie, I'd be interested to hear what Jenny likes.

S
Sky Sydney · August 21, 2018

plush show & tell sounds like the cutest video ever so i am 100% behind it

B
Bill Holt · August 21, 2018

How many of us are going to get banned for our angry, controversial takes on noumenon vs. phenomenon?

S
Steve Ray · August 23, 2018

How many demons can be banished to a pin-sized section of Hell?

J
Johnny G · August 21, 2018

I didnt get the email for submitting ramble options! Jenny help!

T
The BabaDuck · August 21, 2018

If you have a smart phone you can also get notifications via the app.

H
Hannah S. · August 21, 2018

Love horror movies and can’t wait for Jenny to share her favourite ones!! p.s. As a philosophy student I was shocked by the option of Kant and had to blink my eyes a few times to check if I was in a lucid dream...

S
Steve Ray · August 23, 2018

I've heard that Kant's Critique really isn't what it appears to be.

T
The BabaDuck · August 21, 2018

It’s great to see Patrons getting into the Halloween spirit a little early with the horror movie topics. My vote goes towards “Horror movies Jenny likes” since I think the rambles are best when it’s something she actually enjoys. Bad things are what the rest of her videos are for.

J
Joseph Leonard · August 21, 2018

Personally, I voted for Problematic 2008-10 becuase I love the remake of Sorority Row and want someone to talk about it. I think its less problematic in the fact it takes out the bad representation of Disability and just crafts a better story with the same rough Idea and just like Audrina Patridge in the film.

A
Abbygale Mertes · August 21, 2018

This is supposed to be an entertainment channel but you keep making learn interesting things! What gives? You some kinda... secret teacher? I’m onto you. I see you, Jenny Nicholson.

A
Adam Drayer · August 21, 2018

Problematic Horror Movies because your script doctor videos are so good, but also Kant's 'Critique..' because everyone needs a break from the sci-fi fantasy world, and I would like to hear your opinion on metaphysics!

S
Steve Ray · August 22, 2018

Aren't horror movies supposed to explore problematic themes and ideas, which is what makes them scary? I'd think that "problematicity" is a difficult thing to measure in most circumstances, but it will be as elusive as a neutrino while talking fright flicks.

¹¡íÁ·¥úGáB½5@±t3 · August 21, 2018

Tough choice between Kant's Critique of Pure Reason and stuffy buddies show and tell.

A
Abbygale Mertes · August 21, 2018

You’re my favorite part of the credits crawl, even more than my own name.

S
Sarah Matthews · August 21, 2018

I'm dead inside and horror movies help me feel so I'm looking for some suggestions.

J
Josh Osterhout · August 21, 2018

Kant's critique of pure reason would be an amazing video. It's a shame so few agree.

C
Chris Dearing · August 21, 2018

A Q&A! Ooo. Still went with Star Wars tho.

J
Joel Eblin · August 21, 2018

Guys, I need to have Jenny, in the middle of the video, debate with herself if Sebastian is an animal sidekick or not.

S
Steve Ray · August 22, 2018

Hear, hear! Science tells us that Humanity's power for Abstract Thought is what truly keeps us "separate" from regular Animals. And what happened *last month*? We all nearly Ramble-voted for Loneliness, and we all nearly fell to ruin! "Loneliness" is a very Abstract Thought, much like "Critique" and "Pure Reason" -- and thus, very HUMAN :/ This month, let's stick to the *original* vision of the Animal Topics Coalition, and *stay* united behind Top 10 AND Bottom 5 Animal Sidekicks.

B
Bill Lehecka · August 21, 2018

Oooh, a possible Q&A. That would be awesome. Fast paced. So many topics. Hope that wins.

S
Steve Ray · August 23, 2018

Wouldn't we have to stay up until 3:30 a.m. Pacific on a Thursday to participate? And would it take the form of an unlisted YouTube Livestream or a Twitch or what?

F
Freya Northman · August 21, 2018

This was hard, because all of them.
