this video was so funny because I do have a friend exactly like the girl who made this film. she actually is at a prestigious film school now but if blockbuster was still a thing you can bet this would have happened. I remember she bought a website domain for her name when we were like 14 and lied about her age for screenwriting credits. much respect to all the delusional creatives out there

I had a stumped he was her classmate but that doesn’t seem to be the case lol. like was this some random dude she just saw on Pinterest?? surely he wasn’t already an established actor given his performance? also I need to know how long they were married for

I really like that at 1:04:12 they imply that demons actually do exist. There are imaginary demons, such as incubi, and there are real regular demons.

love love love this video. haven't watched the movie itself yet, but I DID purchase a piece of the official merch. specifically a black T-shirt that says "badder than bianca" in red text, with a picture of her posed with lethargy printed large on the back. I love it. instant classic.

A
Adam! · April 1, 2026

I haven't seen the movie, but one thing I'm wondering on a rewatch is if Bianca had been in Walters head for years. Is there meant to be an implication, based on what she did with Raphael, that this entire thing was planned? As in, she convinced Walter to kill the parents to eventually add to her crew? It's unlikely, but... It feels like maybe it was a goal at some point

A
Adam! · April 1, 2026

Might that also explain why Raphael is so quick to kill Johnny and push Shaye towards Walter at the end? Maybe he was in on it the whole time too

M

J
Jacob · March 28, 2026

I unironically like the idea of their telekinesis being just the power to control doors. Like they're a foil to vampires requiring permission to enter homes, totally beholden to doors.

P
PurpleIsDebeste · April 1, 2026

it also makes them feel more like a goofy halloween monster that they can make doors slam behind people to trap them in their mansion or enter dramatically to the sound of a pipe organ

C
Christine O'Don · March 28, 2026

I had a totally different interpretation of the movie ending and the incubus powers, and want to share even though no one will read this: - Based on Olivia's and Bianca's reactions to Rafael bringing Marnie back to life, and the lack of the previously featured swirl pendant, I interpreted Marnie's resurrection as something different from the other incubi. So, she's still undead, but not exactly the same, which I assume plays into how the town disappears. - I also interpreted the timeframe for the movie differently. Given the lack of Halloween decor, and how the first class prof talked about turning in term papers, I thought this movie was set in August/September at the end of a summer term. Thus, the disappearance of Spoon River doesn't happen in this movie - that's the sequel! - I also thought the tarot card with the demonic character (?) was foreshadowing, maybe for how Marnie's new undead form will create problems for our existing incubi and their magic "source". - I also interpreted the incubi powers as being air/ether-based. This doesn't totally match the way they absorb emotional life energy from people, but it would explain door opening/closing (manipulating air), fire, and maybe teleportation (they became the wind). I do agree with Jenny some of this is overpowered and inconsistent, but I saw it as all being the same magic "type". - Last comment I'll make is that I thought some of the incubus emotion stealing did seem to impact their victim's memories and thoughts. We see the main bully apologize to Marnie. Also, at the final beach scene, when Marnie wakes up, she doesn't remember Rafael killing Johnny. This made sense to me (since Rafael had consumed energy from her), and made Rafael's statements that nothing happened even worse. I felt that was setting up conflict between our lovers in the sequel (along with the conflict from being different kinds of undead). Maybe Rafael's sudden violence against Johnny is due to that demonic tarot card character (with whom Bianca is aligned), and he has to break free from that influence, with help from Marnie as she shows him a different path since love resurrected her instead of demon energy. Idk, just making up a story here, but I felt like I could see the next steps for how some of the plot "holes" are actually setup for the next installment.

A
Audrey Lopata · April 1, 2026

I support this view of the timeline! In the “Walter goes to jail” article the newspaper is dated August 4th, and that’s when the story is already well underway 🤔

I had forgotten how wonderful these videos are. Jenny will take something ultra-cringe yet she loves it anyway (or loves it because it’s ultra-cringe) and point out every funny thing about it in such an engaging way. That’s not to say I don’t enjoy the Patreon vids — I do and I’m glad to support her content. But with Patreon, a committee of higher tier supporters are telling her what to cover, and it’s just not the same as when she has genuine passion for some bizarre but hilarious media content.

M

I could be wrong but my impression (after reading a ton of posts on the snark subreddit about him) is that his whole persona is based on his Vampire: The Masquerade OC

S
Scrum Diddely Umptious · March 25, 2026

The family name Burgess from the credit song was tormenting me all night. I kept thinking "why do I think there is a female broadway singer that did phantom of the opera called like Sarah Burgess??". My boyfriend tried to gaslight me into thinking I was thinking of Hannibal Buress which is honestly closer than what I was actually thinking of. I know this will not help anyone else because how could it possibly... but no, Jeff Burgess is not related to Sierra Boggess, a person with a completely different last name, lol. A nuance, really.

S
Scrum Diddely Umptious · March 25, 2026

I think it was covered way back closer around when she started doing patreon but she got too many patreon subcribers to continue including all of them in the credits, so she debated what to do but ultimately had to move it up a tier for it to be manageable to append to a video. You would have to read the patreon tiers to find what yours includes, and see if you were missed on accident or not ☺️

K
Keith Hasperg · March 25, 2026

The part where Walter “aggressively tussles her hair” is lowkey one of the funniest things ever. It reminds me of a bit from this old Stephen Colbert show “Strangers with Candy,” where when the characters would type they’d show a close up of their hands just clumsily slapping the keyboard. The hair tussle was every bit as strange, I love it.

P
Peyton · March 25, 2026

Jenny - you should know that the backstory of one of the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City is that her grandmother left her her church and husband in her will. She is married to her step-grandfather and is now the pastor. So inheriting a church and pastorship all-in-one in the modern day is not implausible!

I
Isabelle · March 31, 2026

Like, I feel this is the kind of video that can easily turn mean and hurtful, even if accidentally. But you never lose sight of, or respect for, the actual humans who put real hard work into creating the project. Whether its Imagineers or a 19 year old college student. I see someone already recommended this (!!!) but I have to toss in another rec for Werewolf Island (née The Legend of Dog Lady Island), which I dug out of the $5 Walmart DVD bin many years ago and have spent many a party since then forcing my friends to watch it. It was also written by, directed by, and starring one individual whose psyche I would LOVE to explore. There's the aforementioned Beauty and the Beast costumes. There's three flashblacks in a row to different time periods. The main monster woman's make-up becomes progressively more panda-like as the movie progresses. I'm POSITIVE that at one point they CGI'd a ham roasting over a fire instead of having an actual ham. There's drowned ghost children that look like the Tumblr photo water filter has been applied to them. It has 2.3 stars on IMDB!!! actually I just remembered it was a 4 movie "werewolf anthology" DVD so really I only paid $1.25 plus tax for this cinematic masterpiece

Love the opening crawl informing us that everyone "disappeared" when we see in the film the monsters were leaving dead bodies strewn all over the place. Either after Marnie got up she and the new crew wandered around awkwardly tidying up together, or anyone who came to investigate really phoned it in. I'm sure someone else has pointed out the connection to the Edgar Lee Masters collection by now, but I am charmed that she appears to have taken very little from it beyond the concept of the dead of a town and the general concept of the inevitability of death. Arguably more tasteful than Masters himself taking people's names wholesale from graveyards and popularizing a rumor from his grandfather that a random woman slept with Abraham Lincoln.

That ending was so satisfying. While they were together, her vampire ex claimed they made everything together. When they broke up, he changed the story saying she actually had very little involvement with the work and the movie could go on without her because she was so inconsequential. I cannot tell you how happy it makes me that so many people are going to hear about him only as this guy who rode his wife's coattails. s

i'll also say that every performance is literal high school level first take level and is very funny, except for 2. budget michael rooker is giving absolute dollar store level michael rooker of that clearly meant to be a michael rooker type character character, and the one annoying boy friend with the terrible haircut probably deserves some sort of nickelodeon career at least. he's got that "i dont look totally young enough to play 15 years younger than i am but i can definitely embody that level of maturity at a frankly concerningly authentic if hammy sort of way.

D
David A Behlman · March 22, 2026

I watched the film first! My take on the use of the word “nuance” is that it’s trying to be like when Ursula says “trifle” when hedging the cost of her spell. I am sure there’s another example that’s closer to the idea of human lives just being a minor detail for the villain. Two things early on grabbed me: 1. the opening credits don’t settle. The names never stay still to be read. Honestly, I appreciate this punk approach. 2. The first people we see are the incubuses in their superb outfits and for a couple seconds I thought it was going to be period piece.

Y

Crossposting is good! In this time and age you can't trust yt with anything, but also since you don't post consistently or often it definitely will forget to push it. I love how you manage to never feel like you're punching down with these kinds of videos. The last section about celebrating Shayne's career felt like such a good way to end it off. And I love seeing people try to engage with themes and motifs in movies like this (like the water stuff), where even if the execution isn't great you can tell that this is still the product of people who wanted to think and engage with what they were creating. Really hype for the next vid, no matter when it may be

I ran a monster of the week (tabletop roleplaying game) campaign set in a small rainy washington town, so we called the town "Spoons". This was a dumb joke that was fun for our home ttrpg game, and it is very funny to me for a real produced film to have decided to earnestly call their town Spoon River in a twilight knockoff.

S
Seessie · March 21, 2026

This is so incredible! The costuming is phenomenal and such a goth teen's dream. I feel like I have to plug my favorite low-budget vampire movie, The Last Vampire. It also takes place in a small town with a community college where a vampire shows up and steals someone's house. The big twist to the story is that the human love interest's family is Jehovah's Witness, and they are opposed to the vampire in town not because he's a vampire, but because they don't believe in blood transfusions and drinking people's blood is a little too close to that for their liking. The vampire reveals that he's 'heard Jesus talk a few times', in an incredibly causal way. It is not elaborated on further. There's a plot point where someone's kid brother tries to burn the vampire at the stake. It truly has everything.

K
Kevin Morris · March 21, 2026

I think you need to be in the Bad Cars tier or higher to be featured in the credits, and I think you need to actually be subscribed to that tier (as opposed to paying a custom amount of money - which may be equal to or higher than the Bad Cars tier - in a lower tier). Does that help?
