Honestly, the first time I saw the original Pirates movie, I had the feeling that Jack's insanity was a façade, and there was a calculating mind underneath. That went totally out the window by part 3. And by part 4, I realized that the movie would be better without him. Also, for a film franchise that uses the phrase "Dead men tell no tales", dead men do an awful lot of tale-telling.
1:48 is one of the many reasons why I continue to support you. Hilarious and spot on analysis of the PotC films!
I only saw the first PotC movie and was very disappointed in it (mediocre soundtrack, Orlando Bloom playing a non-elf and therefore being expected to show human emotions, poor execution of the not necessarily bad childish concept of "good pirates", I could go on forever...) so if you're saying that was the best one... well I'm definitely taking watching the sequels off the bottom of my "to maybe do someday" list.
