POLL: New TV Show!
**4/29 Edit -- Yesterday when I checked, The Orville had a 10% lead and then within 3 hours over 100 brand new Patreon accounts became free members, voting for Primeval. All of the accounts had incredibly weird e-mail addresses (as pictured below) compared to the 1000 votes that preceded them. I don't know if these are bots or if one person was spiking the votes, but I'm not going to let one person hijack the poll. I've disqualified all of those votes and ended the poll. The Orville has won.
Original Post: It's time to pick a new show to watch as Merlin comes to an end. I can't wait to see what we're going to watch next, please vote for whatever show you think would be the most fun to watch with me!

I was torn between giving my vote to The Orville and Primeval. I love both shows. In the end, I voted for Primeval because nobody ever reacts to that. It's a shame that someone felt the need to manipulate the votes, which forced you to end the poll early. That said, thank you for not letting the bots influence the final result. With Orville having 10%, no other show would likely manage to catch up anyway. It's sad that one selfish person probably ruined any hope for all legitimate fans to get a reaction to Primeval sometime later down the road. And it's crazy that patreon itself apparently has no protection against botting. I hate to say it, since I myself joined your Patreon as a free member only to vote (as I’m a member on YT instead), but maybe consider making future polls for paid members only? It could spare you the risk of this happening again and all the hassle of sifting through the votes to find out which ones are legitimate.
Thanks for your suggestions! I'll definitely consider what to do in the future. For this poll, I had 10 options and used a Patreon only poll to narrow it down to 5 for the public poll. Last time I did something similar and the results were wildly different, but this time the same show won both polls so that is a good option.
Thank you for keeping an eye out for bots. I look forward to The Orville reactions.
End the poll with The Orville being the winner by default for Primeval fans being cheaters.
I'm going to do that.
I’m going to guess Primevil is winning over every other wayyyyyy better show cause it’s novelty lol no offense I personally liked it well enough for something to casually binge but oof. I’ll be curious to see the reactions
Yeah, it was fine but it is kind of dwarfed by the others. Even The Librarian series, for all it's an Indiana Jones knockoff, was more fun than Primeval. To be honest, I'm rather disappointed that For All Mankind is at the bottom of the pile.
Dark!
I joined to vote for primeval. I hope in the future you will look at “The 100”. It is fantastic.
Red Dwarf. It's like Dr. Who meets Married with Children and Star Trek on Laughing Gas.
If you haven’t seen Leverage, I think you’d like it. The cast has great chemistry.
How in the world Dark isn't winning it?!?!?!?!
God, I don't get how For all mankind is not winning BY A LANDSLIDE. Don't get me wrong, all this shows are great but having already watched BSG and The expanse I don't think there's a competition at all :D
I understand your pain
the orville is a must watch for a star trek fan
Im not really a star trek fan but I love the Orville!
Librarians definitely but movies first, but I think you will like primeval as well
I mean I wanted BBC Atlantis to be on the list but since that’s not present I think I would definitely have to go for Primeval
Another throwback!! Wow, I loved that show!! I hope Chris considers this show one day too!
I love Primeval!!! I was not expecting it to be on your radar but I’m NOT mad about it.
100 per cent should be Primeval. It’s so good. Perhaps you should consider His Dark Materials at a later stage (not sure if you’ve done it or not, I mainly watch your Who reactions).
I couldn't watch Orville beyond a certain season as I dropped Hulu some years ago. You might enjoy Leverage with its various Who pop culture references. The Librarians cute redhead was a draw, and both had Christian Kane in them. There is a funny scene where the black guy (iirc) from one show appears in the other and they both look at each other with that "do I know you?" look then shake their heads and turn away. 😁 Rebecca Romijn was also a draw 😁
I think the TV Show The Magicians would be right up your alley. You should watch a trailer on youtube.
If you like Merlin you should try the Robin Hood show from 2006 sometime.
That was a tough choice between The Orville & The Librarians (Primeval is also fun)
Omg please let it be Primeval, you will love that show, as a kid growing up in the Uk doctor who, Merlin and primeval was a little nerds dream! It’s got everything mystery, heart, action, comedy. Think Jurassic park world done correctly but with okay special effects. And it has Hannah from Sclub 7 in it 😍
SO many good choices, but The Librarian films and especially The Librarians series are just so, so, so good. Fun, rollicking, incredible historical lore interpreted in fun ways. And the cast and guest stars!!
OMG, I've never seen anyone react to Primeval and it is such a fun show! Who can say no to dinosaurs?? Fingers crossed!
DARK continues to be the best thing I've ever seen. Ever. I'm a filmmaker, actor, musician, and colourist. It is indeed a MASTERPIECE and I will definitely watch it with you making it my 4th time. At some point it was considered the "Stranger Things for adults". Be warned it is also the DENSEST storyline ever made. And there is no better casting ever done on camera ever... you'll see what I mean once you see it. Use their official website the deeper you get to follow along if you're struggling to keep it all in your head. You select the season and episode you just watched to avoid spoilers! I recommend starting to use it once you get into season 2. https://dark.netflix.io/en
I just binged The Orville for the first time. I became a massive fan. Once they get past their comedic era it truly becomes the Star Trek we've been missing. I hope it wins the poll. To be clear the comedic era is still great but when it gets more dramatic it goes to another level.
Primeval has another extra series, an american spin-off that kinda connects to the british series.
Hope the show Orphan Black could make it to the poll sometime. Maybe Roswell (1999 one). If you havent seen them.
Oh, I wish For All Mankind had done better your poll! I went into it absolutely blind other than knowing it was space and Ron Moore and I binged and adored the first four seasons! I really hope that you get around to it eventually because it's that good!
How the hell is For All Mankind last?!?! Seriously, it's one of the best and most original shows on TV. Really, I despair of TV audiences.
I didn't vote for it because it's ongoing. It's fantastic!!!
I love love love the Orville! Don't pay attention to the old promos, the network chose to overemphasize the humor. It's much more like actual Star Trek than a parody. For All Mankind is great, but it's not finished yet. And my third place is The Librarians. It's a lot of fun!
How the hell did you get it in your head that he doesn't watch unfinished shows?
Anyone who liked Dark, I HUGELY recommend "The Devil's Hour" I'd not seen Dark, so I'm just starting the second episode now, but I adore The Devil's Hour, and it feels similar, and it doesn't get the recognition it deserves.
Have you watched "Person of Interest" before? If not; consider putting it on a future list.. It's very good; and one of those shows that would have a massive fan turnout if a reboot was announced..
Would love for you to watch primeval. Such a good show and brings back nostalgia and memories of when I saw this live back in the day. 💯 recommend this show.
I picked Librarians because I want to get you to Leverage
Hustle would be good too if he does Leverage.
I'd highly recommend you add Babylon 5 to your to-watch list.
Lexx (1996-2002) -🙏🙏🙏 Babylon 5 (1993–1998) -🙏🙏🙏
so, crazy suggestion for the very far future: Sanctuary (2008, 4 seasons, ~60 episodes). It has Amanda Tapping (Major Samantha Carter <3) and a couple of my all-time favourite characters from anywhere. It's clearly lower-budget and the acting can be a bit clunky at times but it is such a niche guilty pleasure thing for me that I would love to hear your opinion. also, another suggestion (but only if you care for murder mysteries): Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries (2012, 3 seasons, ~34 episodes) - it's probably my favourite crime show and has a couple other of my all-time favourite characters. it's retro and progressive at the same time, has great timing, sense of humour and it, honestly, quite sexy ;)
Loved watching Primeval (UK Version) still have the DVD boxsets. Primeval New World (US Version) wasn't bad too if I remember correctly, only seen it once. Primeval was transmitted on ITV in the UK. It's a shame it didn't carry on after five seasons.
Omg Primeval and The Librarians. I never see anyone react to that, it would be amazing 🥹
Definitely the Librarians, I truly think that is what you will enjoy the most! And it’s really great! Also you should really check out The Rain on Netflix it’s a danish series, but really good and a lot of people don’t know about it! Can’t wait to see what is next, absolutely love that you already are watching/have watched most of my favourite shows aka Merlin, Doctor Who and Supernatural.
LOVE For All Mankind, however for streaming I feel it's a bit slow going for a reaction channel in my honest opinion.
As I expected, The Librarians doesn't have a high chance of success but I still voted for it. It's so much more fun than, say, Dark, which is also excellent just very, well, dark 😁 If you'd consider maybe just watching one of the Librarian movies for now, I'd be a happy camper (for now! 😅)
It's so disappointing to see For All Mankind in last place. It's the best show of the last decade and deserves more recognition.
Primeval is a crazy throwback!
Firefly or Babylon 5. If I had to choose from the list above The Orville.
He talks about Firefly in the video. He's seen it and loves it, but Kate hasn't, and has agreed to react to it with him after Supernatural S2.
I wish Babylon 5 made the list :(
Desolate!! Character driven and absolutely brilliant!
maybe the magicians? definitely more adult but man it can hit.
I wish it would be in the poll, so few reactors for "the magicians" 🫤
I really really really hope Dark wins. I know the popular opinion is to watch it in German with English subtitles, but it’s such a complex show that I think it’s best to watch it in English so that you can keep up with all the complexities. Is a brilliant show and I really hope it wins!
am I right in thinking that some of the cast recorded the English themselves? I know the cast of Ragnarok did it for sure, so maybe I am mistaking the two... in any case, I second your opinion - watch Dark for the plot, not to learn German lol
I voted for the Orville, but only because Leverage isn't on the list.
so... you love Leverage but not The Librarians? I thought Christian Kane's movies came in a package deal (I am kidding, I haven't seen his work but TNT keeps convincing me that if I loved one, I would love them all lol)
Another one for the future watch list: Babylon 5 and its movies
Noah Wyle was fabulous in the Librarian movies, they're a glorious adventurous romp of fun and good times, and even if they never make the channel you should watch them for yourself.
Noah Wyle is amazing indeed. Chris loves David Tennant as The Doctor and that leads me to believe he will absolutely adore Noah Wyle as The Librarian!
Oh and you may want to try Eureka at some point.
The librarians. Please!
You are already watching my absolute favorite show, Farscape. But for future reference if you haven't seen Quantum Leap or Warehouse 13 I would highly recommend them. Those are my 3 favorite shows but all 3 are like 4-5 seasons and longs seasons like the older shows did. Dark is a fantastic show.
Orville. I would watch Librarians at some point though.
Grimm is better than any of them. You would love it, I guarantee. It ticks all the boxes.
voting blind havent seen any of them good luck to whatever wins
Would also add Grimm to the list
Too bad you have already seen my top request: Fringe, and my 2 & 3 (Continuum and Travelers) would probably not garner votes (I have only seen 2 channels react to Travelers and NONE who have done Continuum). So I'll throw my hat into The Librarians' ring. That is one I would gladly give you a watch count every week, and even pay for a month of Patreon when you are done with it (Can't afford anything monthly given the exchange rate and low income but once a year is in my budget). I've only seen the first season of For All Mankind, so I wouldn't be keeping up with it and I never saw Dark (Not a fan of Thriller/Horror). Primeval is a bit old but would get my vote/yt watch if The Librarians weren't on this list, and The Orville is great but I already have a reactor who just finished with that one, so he is up to bat first when it comes to my poverty.
I’d second Continuum it’s a well hidden jewel!
Primeval! Love this show. So glad is on your poll. Umimg and ahrimg between that and librarians. But my British self said Primeval is the way to go. Was actually ITV show. So assuming BBC have rights for watching abroad. You will love it!!!!!
Dark is intense but it is an astonishingly brilliant show
Man this was hard! It was close tie of Orville and Librarians. I haven't seen Dark or For All Mankind and I have a rule that I don't watch reaction videos what I haven't seen! When you say Orville is parody it doesn't feel quite right. It's more tribute than parody to Star Trek. You should also think watching Leverage or if you want a quick one Kingdom Hospital. It's 13 episode mini series.
Parody and satire are important terms that make The Orvilles existence legal, and not IP infringement!
Next time, I suggest enabling multiple selections; don't just ask for our top picks, ask for all the ones we'd enjoy.
DARK is dark, but SO we'll put together. And it has your mind wishing it had hands to wring as well as to help untwist it.
Have you seen The Devil's Hour? I just finished season 1 of Dark, and the whole way through, I was thinking "it's really giving me the vibes of Devil's Hour". It's so slept on, so if you haven't seen it, I hugely recommend! (The first season especially, just on its own)
The truth is none of them appeal to me. You and your channel still do! Unfortunately, the shows I’d suggest didn’t get enough exposure in their day to be well enough known to get votes from the membetship—though I try. For the record (both BBC productions): His Dark Materials (Max) A Discovery of Witches (Netflix) (23 and 25 episodes respectively)
man this is a HARD poll.. I havent finished Dark yet, I enjoyed what i did see but man i need a notebook to keep track of that show lol. Primeval i recall enjoying but i would say thats probably not popular in terms of views so perhaps it would be a good farscape replacement as farscape despite being amazing isnt very good on views. For All Mankind is fun. But all the apple TV shows are very slow paced so as long as you are prepared for slow pacing... For All Mankind though might be even worse on views than Primeval might be. When I watched through season 1-4 i went looking for reactions and really couldnt find much. one of the few channels i did find dropped it cause it wasnt worth paying the editor to do them up. I think I have seen one Librarian movie... Dont recall much about it. I would think of this list if views are a potential concern Dark and The Orville would probably be the 2 more youtube friendly anyway. severance has been the most popular apple tv show. though murderbot was super short and amazing. proving that shorter episodes and seasons doesnt always mean the show has to suffer for it.
To keep track of DARK use their website. You put in what season and what episode you've seen up to, and then you can browse the website for information about characters, objects, places, and so on without running into any information that comes from episodes you haven't seen. Every tv show should have a website like DARK's website: https://dark.netflix.io/
Primeval for the uk vibe
Omg, you need to watch Dark. It's the best tv show.
Definitely one of the best there is.
I love the Librarians please react to those movies and show 👍
I rewatch Primeval so often. Such an interesting show. Also love the Librarian franchise. Hope you get to both someday.
OMG! watching you try to figure out dark would be awesome. Would definitely be renewing my Patreon sub for that
Librarian movies are good, the show looked too cheesy. Not fond of the rest
I loved the movies, but prefer the series. I think the expansion added a lot.
I aslo gone for primeval too it's such a unrated gem would lov to see your reaction to it as well🙂
Unfortunately, I haven’t seen any of these shows, somehow 😅 so I don’t feel right blindly voting. Maybe I’ll watch, whatever show gets picked, with you though.
Sorry, Chris, but—I think that you could maybe get a LOT more viewers into your channel if you want to actually make a break from ANY OF THESE FIVE (though I DID vote for one! xD<3) and go instead for the 6-season HIGHLANDER Series... :) <3 I mean, seriously: you would be the *first person* to actually react to the TV Series, rather than just the films... :)
Primeval would do really well. Haven't seen anyone else react to it.
The Orville would be awesome! I’ll throw in the amazing 1960’s series The Prisoner for future consideration. It’s a quick 17 episode watch and well worth it!
Primeval…..
Very shocked to see Primeval listed here. Boy that takes me back lmaoo. Would love to see your reaction to it!!
The Orville. The most star trek series in the modern "Star Trek" era. Shows Kurtzman how it should have been done
Dark is an amazing series that would certainly make for a great reaction series. Since it's not an English series and also a quite challenging series, I don't see it winning any polls. 🥲
I would be a little biased but For All Mankind is the best one from those for me of course. Dark was also very good in some way. But I personally think it's a type of a show that you should watch with other person - just saying.
Absolutely no way anyone is talking about Primeval. WTH. I didn’t know anyone knew about this show. Was just talking about it the other day.
I'd love to see Twin Peaks on here someday
I know it's in last place, but Dark is the smartest show in this list, and I'm a huge fan of For All Mankind.
Kind of choosing what I think you will like, so primeval it is. Such a blast from my past, being British. A nice adventure/sci fi show, great for reactions
Me too it's a really interesting and u never know whats going to happen or what they will discover 😁
I would LOVE Dark, but I’m not sure it’s your cup of tea.
I think Chris would love it.
For All Mankind is amazing!
It may not be winning but at least I know it's on the horizon.
Well, at least it made the poll 😉
I'd really like to see the Orville; but it would feel weird watching a reaction to a show I haven't seen myself. I tried it with Merlin, and just couldn't focus on the show. So I'll have to go with Primeval; an underrated gem.
The Orville might work well to watch like that though. There's not too much of an ongoing story to focus on, just good fun moments from episode to episode. If it does win, I'd recommend giving it a go with Chris.
I haven't thought about Primeval in SO LONG 👀
The Orville and The Librarians, especially The Librarians with how much you love Doctor Who, but yeah those two are the best shows, for me. Definitely top 10
Having such a hard time choosing between Orville, Librarians, and Primeval. Good list here. I don't know the other two, I'm sure they are great. Looking forward to whatever you end up with. Just an idea for future polls, I think you might like Futurama and The Legend of Vox Machina.
Oh man, they could’ve stopped the count at one vote and all would be right with the world
Which one were you hoping for??
PLEASE WATCH FOR ALL MANKIND, PRACTICALLY NO ONE REACTS TO IT, AND ITS SO FRIGGIN GOOD 🙏🙏🥺🥺
It is so good for reaction videos!
The Librarians is just such a fun show, and the movies were good as well. I really think you'd love it, and, while I revist it often, I'm always up for a rewatch.
Plus, Season 2 of The Next Chapter is just about to come out.
